  • WarGames DVD & Chris Benoit

WWE did not edit Chris Benoit or mentions of Benoit on commentary out of the new "War Games" DVD release when he was featured in the match back in 1997. This would be the first move by the company in some time to not make an attempt to edit Benoit's likeness out of a DVD release.

Was there not a report recently that said some commentary was edited? I could be wrong but I recall reading that.

I don't why it's a big deal that they didn't edit out Benoit. I mean they didn't erase him from history and time itself, they just don't talk about him.

      Big thanks to Surrender!

Because previous DVD releases had him edited out, or not mentioned at all. I'm sure the Radicalz debut would've been a Raw 100 event, but was it on the DVD?

I think if they could have gotten away with it they would have.

I'm surprised they don't just put a big black box over him so everyone is just wrestling a giant square while the censors beep out his name every time its mentioned.
