Fan Fiction Rules & Guidelines

THE RULES & GUIDELINES OF FAN FICTION

-There will be no flaming (insulting), spamming (making stupid, inane posts) and flame-baiting (luring someone into flaming you).

-You can't use deceased wrestlers. The only exception to this rule is if you're doing a federation that takes place in the 80s or something similar.

-Keep everything regarding your federation in one thread.

-There are three places where you can advertise a federation: in the thread of that federation, in your signature and in the Fed Thread. Nowhere else, if we find any advertising elsewhere, you will receive a warning for SPAM.

-Don't expect to get reviews from other people if you don't give reviews yourself. If you don't want any feedback to your shows, fine.

-Don't give feedback in the middle of a show. Posting in the middle of a show will result in deletion of your post and a warning for spam.

-You are not expected to leave a full on review of the show (though you can if you like). All you are required to do is to write a few comments with some substance behind them. This in no way shape or form means you can post one line reviews, they will be deleted and warned. So don’t post something like "Wow, great show! 9/10!".

-Even though it is creative writing, due to board rules we cannot allow racial and/or homophobic slurs/insults/etc. in your feds. This type of language will be warned immediately. And please note - racism is an automatic ban.

-Don't get mad when someone rips your show to pieces. Use the criticism in a positive way and use it to increase the quality of your federation. When someone insults you instead of giving good feedback, report that post to the Moderators.

-Don't bump your thread to the top if you've written nothing new in days. It just pushes other threads that are active down.

-If you're going to write a federation, put some effort in it. Stuff with horrendous grammar and spelling and no punctuation will be deleted. So will posts that only have ten or so sentences. They are regarded as spam. If you don't put effort into writing, don't even bother.

-If you're tired of your current federation and want to start a new one or return to an older federation, your current one must have at least four regular shows and a Pay-Per-View. This is done to prevent threads that have one or two posts in it. If you don't follow this rule, you'll be forbidden to start a new federation or return to an old federation for two weeks. If you make a fed within two weeks of the first one closing or return to an old fed, will we lock your thread, and it will not be opened for ANOTHER two weeks. For example, if you leave your thread on the 1st of the month and then make another one on the 10th, we will lock your new thread until the 24th. Two weeks from the opening of your new thread, remember that folks! For those whos fed follow the 'DVD Format' your fed must have contained at least four chapters in order to bypass the two week rule.

- Posters are now allowed a second fed, providing they have proven their commitment to their first fed. Permission to start a second fed will be granted from the moderating team. We will not consider anyone whose fed has not lasted at least two pay-per-views, however, this does not guarantee we will say yes.

- Two feds at a time Max.

- If you have two running at the same time, both must be updated a minimum of every 30 days. If this is not maintained without valid reason, one will be closed (poster's choice as to which is closed).

- If you abandon a fed/fed gets closed/etc., then you must wait until gaining permission again to start another second fed.

-You can also have one additional non-Fed related story in addition to your federation. This non-Fed has a two week rule, meaning you wait two weeks from the last post to post a new one.

-You do not need to contact WMS or RT to close a thread for you if you're moving on to a new project. Just let it drop to the bottom. We will also no longer be cleaning old threads for you -- start a new thread. Also, we do NOT delete threads. We keep them around for historical value.

-Spotlight of the Month: this is currently decided by the Power 10 Rankings. The winner is given the dubious honor of being the Spotlight of the Month. That Fed will be stickied for the entire month with the added extension “Spotlight of the Month” added to the end of their Fed Title.

-No more "I'll be starting a fed soon" or "more to come soon". Start your fed with substance or it will be deleted. And then you’ll have to wait two weeks to start another one.

-Plagiarizing is a serious offence and anyone caught doing so will be banned without warning.

-Multi-Participation Threads are banned for the time being, they descend into chaos too quick and quite frankly too much time is spent modding them.

-DO NOT post reviews of reviews, arguing with every person who reviews you. If you would like, after a substantial period of time, to reply to all reviews together, fine. Mindless bumps will not be accepted.

-Please note that all your shows and PPVs must take place in your thread not on a website elsewhere. Everybody else can write it here, so can you.

- The 20 Questions thread is a Question and Answer interview-like thread for the members of Fan Fiction. The “next” person to participate in the thread is chosen by the current person being interviewed. Please do not post asking to be next. The person before you makes that decision.

- Please do not post "get on AIM/MSN/Yahoo." If you want them to do so, send them a Private Message or Rep asking so. There is no need to waste a post doing so.

- General Discussion is banned from Fan Fiction. It was great while it lasted, but it was abused too many times.

-NO EROTIC LITERATURE!

Finally, a harsh reality for people: WMS and RT are the last word on a subject in FF. If we ask you, or tell you, to do something, it isn't a debate. At least not on the forum. If you have a problem, IM or PM one of us, and we will gladly sort it out.

Thank you.

Re: World Championship Wrestling - Wrestling for the 21st century. *Spotlight...*

I have not been keeping up with wrestling for like 11 years, so I don't recognize many of the names, but I have had a lot of fun reading through some of these matches. Very entertaining.

On Starrcade: I think Starrcade served as a great finale to our first season. We had a lot of things that we began building right around the first show and Starrcade was are opportunity to finish those stories. We might see interactions between guys like Necro Butcher and CM Punk in the future, but I think it's clear that their story is more or less over. Same goes for Fastball Special and the Cross. The show itself is fantastic. Top to bottom I think it was one of the best produced wrestling events of the year. You'll struggle to match the quality of wrestling on display at Starrcade with any other promotion.

On the Season Concept: The idea is that we're telling these stories and we want to make sure that these stories have a natural beginning, middle, and end. One of the best ways to do that is just to break things down in season format. We've just ended season one with Starrcade. Everything from the Lou Thesz Memorial Tournament to Starrcade is a part of season one. Season two starts with the next show and it should last until around June. Then we'll start season three. That's not to say, however, that some stories can't crossover to new seasons or some won't slow down for a season and then fire back up a season later. I think the season format is just good way for us to build a story without taking forever to get to the point.

On the FCW Four: I'm really excited to have them. Windham [Rotunda], Jon [Moxley], Tyler [Black], and Richie [Steamboat] are four extremely great talents. And don't forget about Chris [Mordetskzy]. He was a guy who really turned thing around for himself as far as his performance goes during his last run with WWE. I like that we'll have new talent to build around and create new stories with as we move into season two.

On the criticism of too much talent: In a lot of ways I think it's a fair criticism, to be honest. We have a ton of talent right now and only one hour a week to display it. So that's kind of where I really come in with what I do. Being able to give everyone time to develop their story, to develop their character, while progressing weekly is not an easy task. It's tough enough on regular, serial television - and they don't have to devote time to actual wrestling! The next several episodes will be all about introducing the new stars as well as cementing the post-season one positions of the current stars. The next iPPV actually allows us a little leeway in doing that.

Regarding the next iPPV: It's going to be kind of concept show and the concept is pretty much going to be the selling point. I don't want to give too much away but you should know by the first episode of season two what the concept is. It's not really new, but it's also kind of something that hasn't been done this way. It's a real amalgamation of ideas.

On television: That's more of Paul [Heyman] deal than me. I do know he's working really hard on it and Scott Coker is working with him. I think they have some really exciting news coming in the near future. It's not exactly what you would expect, but it should still be some pretty cool stuff regardless.

        WCW Underground 2.01

        - The show begins with a video package that recaps everything from Starrcade. It's the usual great stuff from the production team.

        - Standard video opening.

        - Lenny Leonard and JML are now stationed at an announce booth on the stage behind the ring. Leonard talks about the huge year that was 2011 and the huge show that was Starrcade. He says that tonight there will be a new segment on Underground called "The Event Center" which will be hosted by Jim Ross who has a huge announcement regarding the next iPPV. JML talks about how a new year means new faces and over the next few weeks we'll be introduced to some new stars in WCW. Leonard also promises an interview with the new WCW Champion, Chris Jericho, during the hour as well as a huge main event with Eddie Edwards defending the United States Championship for the first time against CM Punk.

Match #1: Sal Rinauro vs. Richie Steamboat
        Spoiler

        - Surprisingly, Steamboat doesn't cut a promo. Instead, CM Punk comes out with Drew Gallows. Punk says now the business with the homeless man is behind him, it's time to move on to the reason for the sport: competition. He says he hopes the mannequin doesn't get too attached to carrying gold, because it won't last long.

        - A commercial plays for WCWwrestling.com.

        - A commercial plays for the replay of Starrcade on iPPV.

        - Fastball Special are at ringside. London is in "Ultimate Warrior"-mode. "The bridges of fire have been reduced to smoldering ash in the palms of my hand. The Cross have been eliminated with sheer frenziticity (!). As we gaze into the stars we see only two constellations: Takeshi Morishima and Keith Walker. When next we convene, in the hour of the moon and the time of the culling, we will meet these giants in epic combat with the greatest of glories in consideration. DOOMSDAY approaches, but now how you would suggesticate (!)." And then they stroll off. First, watching Generico do everything in his power to not break character and then bust out laughing is gold. Second, Paul London making up random words is the greatest thing ever. Third, Leonard's dead-pan follow up is amazing: "They're wrestling DOOMSDAY next week for the belts."

Match #2: Drew Adler/Ace Rockwell vs. The Bravados Brothers
        Spoiler

        - Leonard is kind of taken aback by what just happened. Not to be outdone by crazy promos, here comes James Jacobs with the WCW Tag Team Champions, DOOMSDAY. Jacobs: "Behind the facade of two young men who fear what approaches, are two young men who could be one of the most defining tag teams of a generation. We give the utmost respect to El Generico and Paul London. It would be folly (!) to think that a challenge doesn't present itself to us next week. That said, when the fate of the world stands on the edge of a knife - when darkness absorbs the light - when the minds of the madness of the Gods brings forth a maelstrom of carnage, there will be only one idea, one concept, one generalization left standing: DOOMSDAY. And DOOMSDAY beckons." I LOVE IT. I could watch Jacobs and London go back and forth on these crazy promos.

        - Another commercial for WCWwrestling.com plays.

        - Another commercial for Starrcade on iPPV plays.

The Event Center with Jim Ross
        Spoiler

        - That was actually a really great segment.

        - Leonard says the Bunkhouse Stampede will be historic and he can't wait to see it live on iPPV.

Match #3: Caleb Konley vs. Windham Rotunda
        Spoiler

        - No interviews for Windham either. Instead, Adam Pearce and Steve Corino return. Pearce says that it's a new year and a new day. He says that he and Corino were missing something individually, but tonight the world got a taste of the wreckage they'll bring together. Corino says that's a fitting term to use, since from here on out they'll known as the Old School Wrecking Crew. Nice~! Pearce says that whether it's the Briscoes, Fastball Special, or DOOMSDAY - everyone had best be on the lookout because a new team is here to run roughshod over everyone.

        - A commercial plays for WCW Legacy, whatever that is.

        - A commercial plays for the Bunkhouse Stampede iPPV.

        - Chris Jericho is at ringside with Leonard and JML. Jericho says that his big win on December 23 wasn't just for him. He says it was a win for Billy Kidman (!) and Rey Mysterio, a win for Dean Malenko and Christian Cage, and a win for Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. He says it was a win for everyone who was ever told they were "too small" or "didn't have the right look." He says he aims to be a defending champion and has already lined up a title match against Jay Briscoe in two weeks. Leonard asks him about Caras, and Jericho says he doesn't know when Dos Caras will claim his re-match, but when he does: "Well, I've pinned Alberto twice now and if he thinks the outcome the third time will be something different? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Someone call Quincy Sharp, I'm sending him a new patient." Heh, Arkham City references.

        - Another commercial plays for WCW Legacy.

Main Event: Eddie Edwards [c] vs. CM Punk - WCW United States Championship Match
        Spoiler

        - Promo-time from the Wolves. Eddie goes into this huge tirade against Punk and Gallows, challenging them to a tag match. Leonard thanks the fans and mentions next we'll see the debut of a tag team called the Midnight Guns. That ends the show.

          WCW Underground 2.02

          - Previously on WCW: We were introduced to two new stars in Windham Rotunda and Richie Steamboat. Jim Ross made an announcement regarding the Bunkhouse Stampede, which is a 25-man Royal Rumble essentially with the winner getting the Bruiser Brody Cup (a Money in the Bank-like deal). Finally, Eddie Edwards and CM Punk went to a disqualification and resulted in the team of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards throwing down with CM Punk and Drew Gallows.

          - Standard opening video.

          - Lenny Leonard and JML are at their new area on the stage. Leonard says that Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards will be here later to discuss last week's chaotic ending. He says tonight we'll be introduced to some new stars and we'll see another title match as DOOMSDAY will defend the tag team titles against Fastball Special.

Match #1: Anthony Andrews/Patrick Bentley vs. The Midnight Guns (Tyler Black/Jon Moxley)
          Spoiler

          - Here comes the good ole Necro Butcher! Necro says that he's put CM Punk in the rear view and is looking dead ahead at the Bunkhouse Stampede. He calls it a wild, crazy brawl that will be like a home away from home for him. He warns everyone to stay out of his way because no one will stop him at the Bunkhouse Stampede. This brings out Brodie Lee. Lee says that him and the Butcher might be buddies right now, but at the Stampede the Necro Butcher WILL be stopped by the "Big Rig." Nice way to establish the "every man for himself"-dynamic.

          - A commercial plays for WCW Legacy. This one is a little more in-depth in the others, showing footage from old WCW.

          - A commercial plays for the Bunkhouse Stampede iPPV.

          - Three Kings are at ringside. Austin Aries says that it took a billion different men to put him down at Starrcade and he actually blames Kendrick and Ryan for the loss. Both of them are pretty taken aback by that comment. Aries says that the issue between him and the billionaire hick on the stage are far, far from over. He says come hell or high water, JML is on his way out and the Three Kings are on their way in.

          - Leonard and JML talk about the approaching iPPV, Bunkhouse Stampede, at the end of February. They say it'll be one of the most chaotic shows of the year. They're interrupted by none other than Alberto Dos Caras. Caras says that everyone keeps asking him when he'll claim his re-match. Caras says that the morons who run this company didn't put any stipulation in the champion re-match clause other than that there must be two weeks notice. For all he cares, he can claim the re-match one year from now or one month from now. Caras say he'll keep the claim in his back pocket and use it when it best suits him.

Match #2: Cru Jones vs. The Patriot
          Spoiler

          - Leonard confronts The Patriot and asks him who he is. The Patriot shrugs and walks off. It's totally Angle. He's wearing the old Patriot costume, but you can tell from the upper-body.

          - A commercial plays for Halloween Havoc on DVD and NOW~! Blu-Ray.

          - A commercial plays for WCWwrestling.com.

          - Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards are at ringside. Davey says he's going into the Bunkhouse Stampede to win the Bruiser Brody cup. Davey says that 2012 is going to be the year of Davey Richards and no one can stop that. An awkward promo, really. Eddie says there's still some unfinished business from last week. He was told by WCW officials that as a current champion, he's not eligible to enter the Bunkhouse Stampede. Eddie says since that big asshole (Drew Gallows) tried to kick his head off last week when he wasn't looking, then why not face him one-on-one man-to-man in the ring at the Stampede.

          The Event Center
          Spoiler

          - A commercial for WCW Legacy plays.

          - A commercial for the Starrcade replay plays.

Match #3: The Cross vs. Derek Driver/Steven Walters
          Spoiler

          - The Cross head up the stage and cut a roaring promo. All in German, of course.

          - A commercial plays for Halloween Havoc on DVD and NOW~! Blu-Ray.

          - A commercial plays for WCWwrestling.com.

Main Event: DOOMSDAY [c] vs. Fastball Special - WCW Tag Team Championship Match
          Spoiler

          - And sure enough we're ending about ten minutes earlier than usual. Leonard promises WCW Championship match next week as the show ends.

That Starrcade show was just so well written, and epic it was just unbelievable. I have enjoyed reading through the CM Punk vs Necro Butcher fued, and I have to say that The Necro Butcher is like the perfect anti strait edge guy to fued with Punk. Love the way you worked that fued with Necro's "Garbage Wrestling" angle, and that double dog collar match was a very fun read. I have to say that match is one of the best I've read here. You did a pretty good job of giving the main event a great epic feel to it as well with Jericho winning the title. Overall Starrcade was one of the best written shows I've read in fan fic. Definitely one that I will be coming back to, and reading again. It was just everything that a Starrcade should be.

I can't help but get attached to your version of the Necro Butcher, and really pull for him(awesome that you gave him the pin over Punk at Starrcade). I have to say he is my favorite wrestler in this thread, and one I'm hoping to see continue to get a good push(Butcher vs Jericho for the title?). That is pretty good writing if you can get someone to have a favorite wrestler in your fan fic thread.

            Necro Butcher FTW!

Also can't wait to see what you do with Brock Lesnar.

              WCW Underground 2.03

              - Previously on WCW: New superstars have been introduced to the WCW fans. Stars include: Windham Rotunda, Richie Steamboat, The Patriot, and The Midnight Guns.

              - Standard video opening.

              - Lenny Leonard and JML are on the commentary stage. Leonard says tonight we'll be introduced to another new star as well as get a response to Eddie Edwards' challenge from Drew Gallows. JML hypes the main event, which is Chris Jericho vs. Jay Briscoe for the WCW Championship. Leonard says Jim Ross has a huge announcement regarding some surprise entrants for the Bunkhouse Stampede in the Event Center.

Match #1: The Bravados vs. The Old School Wrecking Crew
              Spoiler

              - PROMO TIME~! Corino says that Adam came to him and it was like a beam of light through the rain. He had a tough 2011, but with Adam Pearce as his tag team partner, everyone else is going to have a tough 2012. Pearce says that there are times in a man's life when he has to double-down on everything he has because there's nothing else he can do. He says he and Corino have double-downed and the people who are going to pay are the people in their way. He says we live in a time with guys flying around the ring like Paul London and El Generico, guys wrestling barefoot like the Necro Butcher, and guys like Davey Richards being called the future of pro wrestling. He says there was once a time when a man was judge not by how high he could fly or how athletically gifted he was in the ring, a man was judged by just how badly he could beat his opponent. He says that he and Corino don't fly and that they're two old as hell men, but when it comes to taking care of business in the ring? They would wreck anyone in their way.

              - A commercial plays for Starrcade on DVD~! Complete with "The Road to Starrcade"-featurette.

              - A commercial plays for The Bunkhouse Stampede on iPPV.

              - Back from break and CM Punk is at ringside with Drew Gallows. Punk says that the two MMA-idiots have overstepped their boundaries by getting involved with Punk and Gallows. Punk says he's in the Stampede match and he's aiming to rid the world of everyone's favorite MMA-midget. Gallows says he'll face Edwards at the Stampede and it'll be the biggest mistake Edwards has ever made. Well, Punk's a good promo anyway.

Match #2: Drew Gallows vs. Lee Roy
              Spoiler

              - Gallows power bombs Lee Roy a few more times to send a message, I suppose.

              - Chris Jericho comes to the stage for a promo. He and Punk have a stare-down, before Punk leaves. That could be a fun program. Jericho says that tonight he defends his championship against Jay Briscoe, who's coming off a huge win at Starrcade over the Three Kings. He acknowledges that Briscoe is the kind of guy who wouldn't be given a shot in other promotions for not having the right look, but here tonight he'll be getting the opportunity of a life-time. Jericho then talks about Dos Caras and says that at some point or another, the time will come for these two to go at it one last time and Jericho can't wait for that. Leonard asks if Jericho will be giving a title match to Davey Richards, to which Jericho replies: "He'll get his shot at some point."

              - Another commercial for WCW Legacy. Tons of old WCW clips in it, which I believe infers it might be some type of programming using the WCW video library.

              - A commercial plays for WCWwrestling.com.

Match #3: Cru Jones vs. Chris Masterson
              Spoiler

              The Event Center
              Spoiler

              - A commercial plays for Starrcade on DVD.

              - A commercial plays for The Bunkhouse Stampede on iPPV.

Match #4: Brent Albright vs. Caleb Konley
              Spoiler

              - PROMO TIME~! Albright says he's getting a little pissed with his record on PPV. He says he's lost two matches on PPV in a row and that it has to change. Albright says he plans to turn everything around by winning the Bunkhouse Stampede and challenging the WCW Champion that very night. JML questions that logic and Albright gets heated with him, calling him an "asshole" for doubting him before walking off.

              - A commercial plays for WCWwrestling.com.

              - A commercial plays for WCW Legacy.

Main Event: Jay Briscoe vs. Chris Jericho [c] - WCW Championship Match
              Spoiler

              - Post-match, Chris Jericho and Alberto Dos Caras exchange unpleasantries to end the show.

It was on March 31, 1985, in New York City at the vaunted Madison Square Garden that wrestling was changed forever with the advent of Wrestlemania. In 1989, a man who would be the cornerstone for WCW in the 90s won his first singles championship in the home of WCW today - Atlanta, GA. That man was Sting. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels battled for one hour in 1996 on the night that Shawn Michaels first won the WWF Championship. In 2008, a legend of the sport said "Goodbye" as Ric Flair officially retired from active competition.

And in 2012, wrestling history will be made again. For the first time ever, you will be able to watch pro-wrestling for the 21st century LIVE on NATIONAL TELEVISION! This is not a joke. This is not an error. World Championship Wrestling will be broadcast live across the nation on March 31, 2012! Spoiler

                  - Promo time~! Albright says that over the last few months he's been on a slump and the only person he blames is "every damn one of you." Albright says the fans were quick to warm to Davey Richards because of he pretends he's an MMA fighter. He asks what the hell has Davey Richards ever done. "I'm a former NWA World Champion! I'm a part of group of people that includes Ric Flair, Lou Thesz, and Ronnie Garvin!" (!) He says the time for being polite is over and from here on out, anyone who gets in his way is going to pay.

                  - Back from break and Alberto Dos Caras is at ringside. Caras says that everyone in the audience is immensely jealous of him because he's Mexican. Boos, of course. Underground 2.05

                    - Previously on WCW: the feud between Eddie Edwards/Davey Richards and Drew Gallows/CM Punk continued with one of the best tag team matches in the last decade. Gallows scored a big victory, getting a pin-fall over Edwards following a powerbomb.

                    - Standard opening video package.

                    - Your hosts are Lenny Leonard and JML. Leonard says tonight's main event is huge with major ramifications as Fastball Special will be taking on Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team to earn a shot against DOOMSDAY on iPPV at the Bunkhouse Stampede. JML puts over both teams as giving DOOMSDAY their biggest challenges. Leonard also says he hopes to get an answer from the man standing next to him regarding Austin Aries' challenge last week.

Match #1: Anthony Andrews vs. The Patriot
                    Spoiler

                    - CM Punk and Drew Gallows out for a promo. Gallows says that last week he proved to the world that he's bigger, stronger, badder man than Eddie Edwards. He says at the Bunkhouse Stampede there will be two foregone conclusions: utter decimation and a new United States champion. Punk says that's not the only thing that's a given. He says that 24 other men are going to do their best, but their best will pale in comparison to the man who is best in the world. He says that he was sidetracked in 2011 with his "Take Care of the Homeless"-initiative, but 2012 will be the year of CM Punk and it starts at the Bunkhouse Stampede.

                    - Commercials.

                    - DOOMSDAY are out with Jimmy Jacobs. They look menacing as ever in their Demolition-style get-up and face-paint. Jacobs does the talking, of course. He says that tonight the best tag teams that WCW has to offer will do battle for the glory of challenging the most dominant tag team in pro wrestling. He says that's a joke, because the best tag teams WCW has to offer have both fallen short when facing the unholy duo of Takeshi Morishima and Keith Walker. He says it matters very little in the grand scheme of things whether it's 2003's Greatest Tag Team or Pee-Wee's Playhouse, DOOMSDAY comes to all.

Match #2: Lee Roy vs. Richie Steamboat
                    Spoiler

                    - Out come the Old School Wrecking Crew. Adam Pearce thinks the stuff he heard Jimmy Jacobs say earlier was nothing but "horseshit." He says that tag team greatness stands before the world of wrestling right now. He says people have for years been begging for a tag team wrestling revival and now that someone who brings to the table that "old Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson-flavor" is on the scene, the revival can start now. Corino takes the mic and says that he's been in this business for well over a decade and he's never gotten his fair shake in America. He says that all ends here and now. He says there's a road that lays ahead of them and what lies at the end is exactly what Jimmy Jacobs says is there: DOOMSDAY. He says, "DOOMSDAY comes for all? Well we want them to come for us." Great stuff, here. Putting these two talkers together was a brilliant move.

Match #3: Drew Adler vs. Necro Butcher
                    Spoiler

                    - Necro's up for a promo! He says that 2011 was one hell of a year for him. He says he was able to put that sanctimonious piece of crap CM Punk in his place and very few things have ever felt better. He says, "But I can think of one thing that'll feel better." He says winning the Bunkhouse Stampede and going on to fight whoever stands in his way for the World Championship just might be the best feeling in the world. He says that lady luck shined her light on him at Starrcade and she ain't done just yet. He says 24 men will be in that ring on February 25, and 24 men better get the hell out of his way.

                    - Commercials.

                    - Leonard and JML at ringside again. Leonard asks JML if he's come up with a decision yet, but before he can answer he's interrupted by Alberto Dos Caras. Caras says that true greatness waits for no man and greatness is here tonight. He says that in his lengthy pro-wrestling career he has done many things but all are nothing compared to winning the WCW Championship. He admit that he feels naked with the gold around his waist and he believes that now the time has come. He says that fate is a fickle beast but it has always been friendly to him. He says when fate knocks, you answer. He says two weeks ago fate knocked on his door and now he's answering the call. He says on March 31 in front a large, nationwide audience on FOX TV, he will have his rematch!

I'm really digging these last couple of shows TMMW. I really, really like your match summaries written in the style of a review(as if it is being written while you are actually watching everything happen), and the way you do leave a little bit for the imagination. Excited to see what happens at the Stampede with the Butcher!

I'm hoping you give him the win, and give me a Jericho vs Butcher World Title match!!!

Can't wait to read it either way.

                        Underground 2.06

                        - Previously on Underground: Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team and Fastball Special held an absolute clinic on tag team wrestling, giving us the best tag team in WCW's new history in the process. The end result was a WGTT-win, putting them in a spot to face DOOMSDAY at the upcoming Bunkhouse Stampede PPV in one week.

                        - Standard opening video package.

                        - JML and Lenny Leonard at the commentary booth. Lenny puts over the upcoming iPPV, only a week away, and talks about the two title matches and the big Bunkhouse Stampede match. JML runs down the card for evening and puts emphasis on the big main event with Necro Butcher and Brodie Lee teaming up against the Three Kings. Leonard brings up some possible tension between Butcher and Brodie who will team tonight, but in the Stampede match it's every man for himself.

Match #1: The Old School Wrecking Crew vs. Derrick Driver/Steve Walters
                        Spoiler

                        - The Crew hits the commentary table for a promo. Pearce says that so far he's found his competition in WCW wanting. He wants to know where teams like Fastball Special and Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team are hiding. He says that there's a lot of teams claiming a lot of things about how great they are right now, but there's no team willing to take on the Old School Wrecking Crew. Corino takes the mic and says that in a little over a week history will be made. He says only two men have what it takes to win the Bunkhouse Stampede and you're looking at them. Corino says it's every man for himself and when it comes down to it at the end, when it's just him and Adam Pearce, may the best man win. He says everyone else is going to want to put their dreams for a better life on hold.

                        - Commercials.

                        - WGTT is out for a promo. Haas starts off by saying that Fastball Special took them to the limit last week and on any other night, it could have been them getting their hands raised instead. Great way to put them over! Haas says that fortune has smiled down on he and Benjamin and at the iPPV they get a second change to take the WCW tag team titles from around the waist of DOOMSDAY. Haas says WGTT knows all about second chances. He says if not for Cary Silken and Ring of Honor, WGTT might have never gotten a second chance in pro wrestling. He puts over ROH, saying it was the place that WGTT was reborn so that they could be in WCW today. He says WGTT has done everything they can to make the most of their second chance and at the iPPV - they're walking in the challengers, walking out the champions.

                        - Out come the Cross. Been a while since we've seen them. Ares does his German-schtick. Claudio says that when they win the Bunkhouse Stampede, he'll become the WCW Champion and then they'll win the WCW Tag Team championship. Meh-stuff, really.

                        - Commercials.

Match #3: Brent Albright vs. Michael Cannon
                        Spoiler

                        - Albright's turn to cut a promo. Albright says that he's been putting people on the injured-list for awhile now and next week nothing will be any different. He says anyone who's in the Stampede has a target on them and he aims to take them out. Another meh-promo.

                        Spoiler

                        - Post-match, Austin Aries calls JML out. JML gets in the ring and Aries calls him a scared little child who refuses to face a real man. It's hilarious because JML massively outsizes Aries. Aries slaps him and as JML goes for the attack, he gets jumped by the Kings. They nail him with Regicide for good measure, before being run off by Necro Butcher with a chair. This ends the show.

                          Underground 2.07

                          - Previously on WCW Underground: Three Kings beat the team of Brodie Lee and the Necro Butcher when Brodie Lee turned on Necro. JML tried to save Necro from a beat down, but was the recipient of a beat down of his own ultimately.

                          - Standard opening video package.

                          - Lenny Leonard is by himself at ring-side. He says last week's ending has put JML on the shelf for this week. He says he's going to push forward as best he can because we're only two days away from the Bunkhouse Stampede where history will be made and the tone for 2012 in WCW will be set. He starts to run down the card when he's interrupted by Austin Aries. Aries says he's kind of surprised that JML would call in sick and then says he'll call the show with Leonard for old time's sake.

Match #1: Eddie Edwards [c] vs. Cru Jones - Non-title Match
                          Spoiler

                          - Edwards approaches the commentary table for a promo. Leonard asks him how training with Kurt Angle has been going. Edwards says that when you look across the ring and you see seven feet of destruction waiting to tear your head off, training with an icon like Kurt Angle can only be a plus. He says being in the gym with a two-time Olympic gold medalist and former World champion is going to give him an edge on Saturday. Leonard asks him who he thinks will win the Bunkhouse Stampede match. Edwards says that only one man has the sheer guts to fight through 24 other men and win and that man is Davey Richards. The crowd responds favorably to that. Leonard asks him for any final words for Drew Gallows. Edwards says the bigger they are, the harder they fall and on Saturday on iPPV - Drew Gallows will fall hard. Pretty good stuff.

                          - Commercials.

                          - Jimmy Jacobs is at ring-side with the tag champs, DOOMSDAY. Jacobs says that the future is already etched in stone. He says on Saturday the final word will be written on Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team. He calls WGTT the epitome of excellence and an exemplary tag team in their own right, but nothing can stop the ultimate conclusion. He says the world rotates and the sun burns, but DOOMSDAY comes to all.

Match #2: The Cross vs. Caleb Konley/Sal Rinauro
                          Spoiler

                          - Ares cuts a vicious promo in German. Leonard asks Claudio to elaborate on what was said, but Claudio responds in German himself.

                          - Commercials.

                          - Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team are out for a rebuttal from earlier. Haas says that for ten years they've always been on the cusp of being true legends but there's always been one thing holding them back. He says whether it was piss-poor decision-making by splitting them up, a couple of coked-out brothers refusing to do what's right for business, or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time - they've never really been able to live up to the moniker they've set for themselves. He says that all changes on Saturday. He says on Saturday they're going to do the impossible and they're going to stop DOOMSDAY. He says when they do they won't just be WCW Tag Team champions, they will truly be wrestling's greatest tag team. Good, passionate stuff.

Match #3: Drew Adler vs. Drew Gallows
                          Spoiler

                          - Gallows and Punk hit the commentary booth to have a little chit-chat. Punk starts off. He says the wrestling world waits on pins and needles for Punk to speak. He says the future hinges on his every move and that's why it's so utterly important that he win on Saturday. He says it doesn't matter if Davey wins, it doesn't matter if the homeless guy wins, it doesn't matter if Albert from Japan wins... He says none of them move the needle like he does. He says on Saturday the world will weep when he wins, then cheer in a realization that he was the only option anyway. Not even sure what the hell he was saying there, honestly. Gallows takes his turn. He says on Saturday he plans on to smear "that little pipsqueak Eddie Edwards" all over the ring. He says that he's going to take out two years of frustration being a dumb hick and then getting fired on Eddie. He says win or lose, Eddie dies. Good stuff but Gallows, but Punk was a little bit off.

I've been getting more into this thread with every post TMMW. I think you have done an excellent job of building up to the Bunkouse Stampede ippv. The last few episodes of Underground have been a treat to read, and have done a great job of setting up the Stampede. Such a great job that I am chomping at the bit to see what happens, and what direction you take the WCW from there.

You are already a lead pipe lock for #1 thread of February in my opinion. The Stampede is just going to be icing on the cake.

Keep up the great work man!

I wish I could agree. While the goal has been the introduce new characters over the last couple of months and I feel I've been successful in that regard, overall I feel like the build could have been better. Particularly with the last episode. I think the show will come off great, though.

                                - We kick things off with an intro-video similar to the old Royal Rumble videos. Paul Heyman announces the tag match, with corresponding images flying in, then the United States championship match, and finally the Bunkhouse Stampede. Pretty awesome stuff, really.

                                - The camera man runs around ringside looking at all the screaming fans before settling on Jim Ross and Lenny Leonard. Leonard says that JML is still recovering from a brutal attack at the hands of Three Kings but he will return next Thursday on Underground with an announcement we'll all want to hear. Ross talks about the historic evening that is in front of us tonight and awarding the first ever Bruiser Brody Cup. Ross explains that the winner of the cup will be granted a guaranteed title-shot at any time of his or her choosing before 1/1/13.

                                - Cut backstage to Jimmy Jacobs with DOOMSDAY. SHANE HAGADORN~! is doing the interviews tonight. Jacobs says that we are only moments away from the conclusion of the situation that exists between DOOMSDAY and Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team. He says the monsters beside him hold respect for accolades of Haas and Benjamin, but they will have no mercy. He says tonight is the end of the road for WGTT and the end can only mean one thing: DOOMSDAY.

                                - Ross and Leonard talk about the upcoming tag team match. Ross says he predicted that DOOMSDAY will walk away on the Event Center and he's holding to that prediction. Leonard says that DOOMSDAY are a powerful team, but you have to give experience to WGTT and he thinks WGTT will claim the gold tonight.

                                - Backstage again as Hagadorn is with Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team. Haas says that almost ten years ago he and Benjamin showed up next to Kurt Angle and started a road to glory. He says the road was filled with pot-holes, speed bumps, and detours and they never got to where they wanted to go. He says that two years ago, Benjamin and Haas found each other again in New York standing across the ring from the greatest tag team they had ever faced. He says on that night, even though we lost, we put the car in top gear and we started back on that road. He says this time there is only one stop in sight before they hit where they want to be. He says that stop is 600+ pounds of brutality called DOOMSDAY. He says that Jacobs says they represent the end, but Jacobs has it all wrong. He says DOOMSDAY represents the beginning of the Era of Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team. Once they determined Haas could talk and Benjamin couldn't, that has made all the difference in the promos from this team. Great stuff.

                                - Backstage, Hagadorn is with Drew Gallows. Drew says that the world needs to come to terms with the idea that after tonight there will be no more Eddie Edwards. Straight to the point, I guess.

                                - Leonard and Ross are at ring-side. Ross talks about the previous tag match and how it was one of the best matches he's ever seen. He says he thinks that the situation that erupted between Bad Intentions and DOOMSDAY is far from over. Leonard agrees and segues to talk about Eddie Edwards vs. Drew Gallows. Leonard thinks that the training Eddie Edwards has been doing with Kurt Angle will give him and edge, but not enough of an edge to overcome the sheer power of Drew Gallows. Ross agrees.

                                - Backstage, Hagadorn is with Eddie Edwards. Eddie says that all of his life and his career people have overlooked him. He says whether it's been size, youth, or even who his tag team partner was, he's been overlooked. He says he's the United States Champion for a reason. He says all the power in the world will not change the outcome of tonight's match. He says he predicts two things will happen tonight: people will change their minds about Eddie Edwards and Drew Gallows will look at the lights.

                                - Ross and Leonard announce that is intermission time.

                                - Intermission. They take this time to air a great, great video package hyping the FOX special on 3/31 which now been named “Jericho vs. Dos Caras 2.” I like it. Next up is another video package for WCW Legacy, which is finally confirmed to be an online onDemand video library that will start up in April. Nice!

                                - Back at ringside with Ross and Leonard. Ross says the moment has finally arrived for the Bunkhouse Stampede. He says that tonight will set the stage for 2012 and tosses it over to Bobby Cruise. Cruise announces the rules for the match: two men will start and every two minutes another participant will enter. This will continue until all 25 participants have entered the ring. The only way to be eliminated is to be tossed over the ropes and have both feet touch the floor. When only one man is left remaining, that man will be declared the winner and the recipient of the Bruiser Brody Cup, which will allow him a title-shot on any day, at any time, at any moment within the year.
