  • Hello again

Not my first time on the forum, I was Mr. Salty a couple of years back but it appears that account is now deactivated. I interacted with some cool people back then, I hope some of them are still around in addition to the new folks I'll "argue" fake fighting with.

The new avatar and username named after the Legion of Skanks podcast, highly recommended for hardcore comedy fans!

        Re: Hello again

Anytime I read through an old thread I notice how many posters from 2012-2013 who's accounts have been deactivated, it doesn't show post count or stats it just shows that they are a guest. I've wondered why? Surely that's a part of the drop in posting lately, people who stopped posting for a stretch come back only to find that their account doesn't work? I know a friend of mine Bill C. is a poster that registered just a couple of years ago and for some reason his account was deactivated, Heartbreak Kid is another one. Is that just something that happens once you go a while without posting? Kinda sucks.

First off, welcome back. It's always good to see returning faces.

And Shin, as for the deactivated accounts, we only deactivated those who hadn't logged in for at least one full year. So we didn't lose any active members from doing so, they were already gone. Some of the accounts hadn't been used in over five years and we decided that it looked strange that we had 4,000 plus members, but only 300, or so ever actually used their account.

I don't think that's a good strategy, people stay away for a year and come back and post again. My boy Bill C. posted as recently as May 2016 and his account was deactivated? WTF? No wonder this place is a ghost town.

Shinobi! Nice to "see" you again, one of the first things I did was look up the 1997 rundown you were doing. The account deactivation thing is strange but I get it, no big deal on my end.
