The finalists to host WWE WrestleMania in 2011,Atlanta and Miami await to hear the verdict from WWE Headquarters in Stanford,Connecticut.

It could be soon.It could be within a month.It could be later

''We're continuing our diligence and our internal deliberations,'' said John Saboor,Senior Vice President of special events for WWE.''We hope to make a decision during the next serveral weeks.We're generating points of interest, points of clarification.

''There won't be a lot left to the imagination as to what WWE is certainly willing to deliver in the excution of WrestleMania Week and what a host community--both from the public and private sectors--is willing to deliver on behalf of the mosaic which is their region.''

''We issued the bid document to 18 cites,and a large majority of those responded with formal presentations,'' Saboor said '' Ultimately,Miami was named a finalist along with Atlanta,and I visited, comprehensively, both communities.''


If Atlanta is chossen,WrestleMania 27 will happen in the Georgia Dome with seats approximately 71,000.

If Miami wins,Land Shark Stadium will host WrestleMania 27,and it would be the third WrestleMania to be held outdoors.

I've been asking for Atlanta for the past 3 years. The Georgia Dome is beautiful and huge, Downtown Atlanta is beautiful, and it's held Super Bowls, National Championships, and even the Olympics. The only knock against it from a WWE standpoint would be the fact that it was the home of WCW.

The reason I see this being Miami, though, is it's a reason to get The Rock to come back for the Hall of Fame and maybe an appearance at the event itself. He'd get an AMAZING reaction in the place he calls his true home. If that were to happen, I'm willing to toss aside my reasons for wanting Atlanta, as much as I love that city.

I swear, WWE fucking NEEDS to come to Vancouver to host a pay per view. Even if it's not Wrestlemania, it would be the first time since the IYH days. Rock Bottom was the last Vancouver pay per view I believe.

Either that or bring Wrestlemania to Seattle again. I was fucking pissed when I couldn't go to No Way Out this year.

On the topic of this thread, Miami would be awesome if the Rock is to be inducted.

Atlanta has hosted WrestleMania before and as far as not hosting a PPV, Atlanta will be hosting the Royal Rumble in January and Backlash, I think, was held in Atlanta a couple of years ago.

As much as I'd love Atlanta to get it, I'd rather Miami get it for the sole fact that The Rock will accept his induction to the Hall of Fame in his hometown. I'd be amazed if he didn't. Actually, Rock really likes Atlanta so he may accept his induction there too.

Which WM was it? Forgot about next years RR but I can't see that one because I'll be in school at the time. I didn't know Rock liked Atlanta, but that's okay because that gives me yet another reason to like him.

Wrestlemania 8 was held at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Might be where you got them confused.

Exactly, that or GM Place (where Rock Bottom was held.) It wouldn't really matter. It would work. The ticket sales would blow through the roof because it would be the first pay per view in our province in over ten years, plus it's close to the border, so Americans from Washington or any surrounding states would be able to easily access it.

EDIT: Yeah, BC Place Stadium would work much better. It can seat up to around 60,000 while GM Place can only seat up to.. not even 20,000.
