Default Hall Of Famer selling his Hall Of Fame ring...

Billy Graham is selling his WWE Hall of Fame ring on eBay because he's upset with Vince McMcMahon. "Vince McMahon made a remark at a recent Board meeting that there will never be an actual Hall of Fame building and that the Hall of Fame is something that only exists in his head," Graham told the UK Sun.

"Shane McMahon has been saying for several years that there will be an actual physical Hall of Fame building and now we know that there will not be one. Therefore, if the Hall of Fame is only a figment of Vince's imagination, I will depart with my ring."

I wanted there to be an actual building for the HOF

Fuck that, I really wanted there to be a Hall of Fame building. I don't blame Graham if they don't want to put forth the effort to honor the hall of famers.

It's not like the Hall of Fame is worth a damn, so who cares. Still silly that he's selling it because of a comment. Course I never knew they got rings, I thought it was just a plaque.

I guess Vince figures it would be a waste of money on creating an actual HOF building. It would be something cool to see though.
It's a bit foolish for Billy to sell his ring because of what Vince remarked. Hell, Vince has made lots of remarks of things that
people may not like. Grow up Billy.

But that's the thing. It would be worth something if they created an actual building for it.

Here we go again -- the up and down relationship between Vince and Billy. The HOF means nothing, absolutely nothing. There's no voting system, it's not organized (for instance in the NFL when a guy retires he has to wait so many years before he's eligible). The only thing similar is that the other sports have politics apart of their decision, just like in the WWE. The only difference is that the other sports have a number of guys that vote despite the politics whereas Vince makes the final call.

I don't really see what Graham's problem is? It's always been Vince's decision, therefore in his imagination who goes in and who doesn't. I don't see why having a HOF Hall will change that.

Who knows, maybe he just needs the money and is using this as an excuse.

It wouldn't shock me if he needs money, especially now that WWE doesn't pay him.

If your a huge professional company then you should have a Hall of Fame Building documenting the history of the building and basically the people in the hall of fame. It seems silly that you wouldn't want your company to seem more professional by not having one.

I was gonna say I feel sorry for Graham, but in the listing he says,

"Further more, I have never been sentimental about The WWE or anything connected with Profestional wrestling in general."

Well to be honest Graham was never one of those guys that was a fan of wrestling or all that passionate. He's one of those guys that saw the business for what it was: a chance to make some decent money.

If I were Billy I probably would of just sold it to. But just to get the cash, not because of what vince said. 8 grand can buy a shit load twinkies.

Yeah, I highly doubt he needs 8 grand that bad to cause all of this.

We're in a recession. WWE can't afford to build a HOF building while their ratings plummet.

It's a damn nice looking ring. It's not like Vince was too cheap to not hand out a ring that was decent looking.

Oh dear god, Billy's still gone back to being a mark.

Opening a building for the Hall of Fame would be a complete waste of fucking money. Vince would do better by opening another restaurant in Times Square.

WWE tries to act like they are one of the big leagues...but come on to look good you need a hall of fame building. Waste money on the xfl but nothing for the wwe fans...They could even have a charge fee to get in and a resturant in there...Vince sounds like a idiot right now. So much money on merch could be made from a hall of fame...If he actually put effort into it... Just sounds like good business to me...Then again this is the guy that didn't pull the trigger on RVD til his overness already peaked and was on it's way down..

I think Billy is overreacting. I mean it should only matter to him for being in the hall of fame and he should be proud of his accomplishment. Not every wrestler of his time has been put into the Hall of Fame. So what if he doesn't put a building up, it could happen one day after Vince is dead and gone.

If I was given a ring of some sort for something like that, I wouldn't do anything to that extent due to someone's dumb comments.
