Default Re: WWE: The Draft Changes Everything

    Okay, here is RAW!

    WWE Monday Night RAW
    Live from Phoenix, Arizona
    U.S. Airways Center
    ‘The Champ is Still Here’

The usual ‘this content is not suitable for younger viewers’ plays with a WWE logo on the screen with several WWE Superstars doing their signature poses in the background. The warning ends and then the Backlash logo flashes up and the text ‘Last Night’ pops across the screen in white writing. We see Lillian Garcia announcing that the following contest is a Steel Cage Triple Threat Loser Leaves RAW match. We see the entrances of John Cena, Edge and Shawn Michaels. We see a series of high spots in the match including John Cena jumping off of the cage wall into a sickening spear from Edge and Edge jumping off of the cage wall into a superkick from Shawn Michaels. As the video package reaches it’s conclusion we see the end of the match where all three men climb the cage and then Shawn is knocked off, Vickie Guerrero’s words from a few weeks ago where she says the ‘loser must leave the brand’ plays over and over as Cena lands an Attitude Adjustment on Edge and then pinning him for the World Heavyweight Championship. The package closes with Edge looking distraught on the ring mat and Cena holding his belt high into the air.

To Be Loved sounds by popular band Papa Roach and the usual RAW introduction package plays showing the majority of the roster except of course the former World Champion and Rated ‘R’ Superstar Edge. The package ends and we go inside the arena and a wide array of dazzling pyrotechnics go off on the stage and then the camera pans around where the crowd leap to their feet throwing their signs high into the air hoping to get onto television. The camera then finally rests facing the announce table that seats Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. They tell us about what happened last night and that Edge is forced to leave the brand after John Cena pinned him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

My Time is Now hits suddenly and the crowd rise to their feet and cheer loudly anticipating the arrival of the new World Heavyweight Champion. He comes running onto the stage wearing some new green Attitude Adjustment gear and his World Heavyweight Championship on his wrist and he points to it before grabbing it with his hands and lifting it up high in the air. He puts it on his shoulder, salutes to the sold-out crowd in the U.S. Airways Center and runs to the ring clapping a few fans hands on the way. He enters the ring, stands up quickly and holds the belt high into the air as he is announced as the new World Heavyweight Champion by Lillian Garcia. Cena takes a microphone.

Cena raises the microphone up to his lips and says that three weeks ago when he was stuck in the trunk of Edge’s car, all he could think about was his chance to challenge Edge at Backlash slipping further and further away and this made him upset. He says two weeks ago he earned the chance to challenge Edge but was screwed over by Edge and that just made him very angry. Cena says that he beat the man who caused all the problems the week before Backlash to earn the chance at Backlash and then he gave Edge the biggest Attitude Adjustment he has ever given from the top of a Steel Cage, pinned him one, two, three and not only sent Edge to another brand… but he won the World Heavyweight Championship and that means he can say loudly and proudly… The Champ is Here!

The crowd cheer loudly, Cena says that this would usually be the point where Edge’s music hits and he comes out begging and pleading for his rematch but he says that won’t and can’t happen now that Edge is no longer on RAW. This gets a cheer, Cena says that this means he needs a new challenger to his championship at Judgment Day because he honours the prestige, value and lineage of the title and wants to give someone the opportunity. He says he is the sort of champion who will defend his championship anytime, anywhere in anyplace.

Before he can go any further, Sexy Boy sounds and the crowd leap to their feet cheering loudly as Shawn Michaels comes onto the stage, he stares a hole right through Cena before continuing down the ramp. He enters the ring and takes a microphone but before he can speak, Cena interjects. Cena says that no disrespect to Shawn but when he said a new challenger and giving someone a new opportunity, that is exactly what he meant. Shawn stops him and says that Cena can stop right there, he says that three weeks ago on RAW he thought he would be getting a one-on-one match with Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship, instead Cena weaselled his way into the match making it a Triple Threat and ended up walking out with the gold, he says that he won’t be getting that one-on-one match with Edge now, but he does want a one-on-one match for the World Heavyweight Championship with John Cena. He tells Cena to hear him out, if he loses then fine, he’ll give someone else the chance.

Cena smirks, he says that after everything that has happened, after being locked in the trunk of a car for a night, after having his victory reversed for no good reason and after going through hell in a Steel Cage to get his World Heavyweight Championship, Shawn just expects him to give him a match? Cena says again, that with all respect, if he remembers correctly, Shawn has only ever beaten him once whereas he almost needs both hands to count how many times he has beaten Shawn. This time, Shawn smirks, he says he has actually beat Cena twice… once in London… and one two weeks ago. This seems to anger Cena, ‘you know what Shawn?’ he says, ‘I accept, the match is on!’ Cena pauses, ‘but don’t come crawling back to me when I beat you and RETAIN my World Heavyweight Championship.’ Cena drops the microphone and leaves to a mixed reaction. Shawn watches him walk up the ramp as the commentators put over the huge Main Event.

Match 1 – MVP vs. Evan Bourne vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Ted DiBiase
Number One Contenders Match for the United States Championship
Note: John Morrison is at ringside and the winner will receive a United States Championship Match at Judgment Day.

The first match of the evening is a Number One Contenders Match for the WWE United States Championship between MVP, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin and Ted DiBiase. This is another exciting match full of fast-paced action, some of the major moments include when Benjamin hit a sick Paydirt from the top rope to the mat on Ted DiBiase. The cover was broken up by MVP, MVP almost lost the match when Ted DiBiase rolled him up after being distracted by Morrison. Bourne was the highlight with flying kicks and crossbodys. The finish to the match came when Bourne threw DiBiase out of the ring and MVP threw out Benjamin, they turned to face each other and then started an exchange, MVP flung a punch, Bourne ducked and kicked MVP right on the jaw… he climbed the top turnbuckle and nailed the Shooting Star Press! “1…2…3!” and this one is over, Bourne has secured a match for the United States Championship at Judgment Day.

Winner and Number One Contender: Evan Bourne via the Shooting Star Press at 8:56

John Morrison enters the ring and kicks Bourne in the gut signalling for the Moonlight Drive but suddenly Man on Fire hits and Morrison retreats. Kane comes onto the stage and begins walking down the ramp as Bourne tries to get his bearings, Kane gets into the ring and Bourne turns around. Bourne receives a massive chokeslam. Just like last week, Kane begins laughing manically before leaving the ring as the announcers put over just how sick Kane really is.

    ---

We go backstage where Kelly Kelly is standing in her locker room with some coffee, she seems rather dejected and she is getting boos. A knock at the door startles her and the Divas Champion Maryse walks in. Kelly says ‘Oh, I thought you were, you know, Mickie.’, Maryse laughs and says that, that is a ‘silly comparison’ as Mickie will never be her. Maryse says that she appreciates what Kelly did last week and that she should be honoured because Maryse doesn’t appreciate a lot, she’s often the one being appreciated. She tells Kelly that tonight when she puts up her Divas Championship against Mickie James, she expects more of the same. Maryse saunters out leaving Kelly looking confused.

    ---

Holla hits and the crowd boo as Kelly Kelly walks onto the stage not looking her usual self, she continues down the ramp and enters the ring taking a microphone. She says that she wants Mickie James to come out here. Obsession plays and Mickie comes onto the stage, also not her usual self, she gets into the ring and stares at Kelly looking like she wants to take her out. Kelly says that Mickie probably wants to lay her out right here but wants Mickie to hear her out first. She says that she doesn’t know what happened last week and that she lost it, ever since she was a kid she wanted to hold a Women’s Championship and she was disappointed, if not angered that Mickie was getting the shot, she was jealous and she was stupid and she wants to apologize to Mickie.

Mickie smiles and goes to hug her but stops and says, ‘a stupid blond? Not surprising’ the crowd go ‘ooohh’ Mickie then just lays out Kelly with a huge Mick Kick which gets some boos. Mickie shrugs her shoulders and tells Kelly that any plan she had of costing her tonight’s match, are off as officials take Kelly to the back.

Match 2 – Mickie James vs. Maryse ©
    WWE Divas Championship Match

Maryse looked worried, maybe because Kelly couldn’t help her tonight. The standard was higher than last week and both divas gave it their all. One particularly impressive shot was when Maryse came off of the top rope with a flying clothesline but it wasn’t enough for the victory. The match continued in this vain and both divas took each other out with a double clothesline. The finish to the match came when Mickie James nailed Maryse with a Mick Kick but Mickie was too exhausted to cover and when she finally did Maryse kicked out, soon afterwards Maryse hit the French Kiss (DDT) for the victory to retain her title.

Winner and STILL Divas Champion: Maryse via French kiss at 5:32

    Commercial

We go backstage where Kelly is being tended too at the side of the corridor, her eye is bruised. Mickie walks past ignoring her, ‘Hey Mickie’ she shouts and runs after her. ‘What?’ Mickie retorts angrily, Kelly says that she just wishes Mickie would understand. ‘Understand what?’ Mickie continues by saying has she to understand why someone who she thought was a friend attacked her? Friends don’t go around attacking each other. She says that Kelly is just a jealous little bitch before walking off, not very PG now was it.

Match 3 – Mark Henry vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan

This, I’m afraid was nothing more than a squash. In Duggan’s first TV appearance since, I believe, last year he was beaten by Mark Henry in only a couple of minutes. Duggan barely got any offense in, a couple of punches but the end came when Mark Henry crushed Duggan with the World’s Strongest Slam.

Winner: Mark Henry via the World’s Strongest Slam at 2:42

Suddenly, Shelton Benjamin runs into the ring and picks up Jim Duggan, he lands the Paydirt on Duggan, he then lands another and another. He turns to Henry and tells him something, Henry smiles and lands the World’s Strongest Splash. MVP comes running out from the back but gets sandwiched in the turnbuckle by Henry and given a Paydirt. Cole keeps shouting ‘what is the meaning of this?’ Benjamin pats Henry’s shoulder before leaving the ring.

Video Package: World Tour begins NEXT WEEK!

We go backstage where Josh Matthews is standing, Josh says that at this time he is joined by Chris Jericho. Jericho comes into shot. Josh tells Jericho that last week he shocked the WWE Universe when he not only offered a retirement match to the Undertaker at Judgment Day but that he dominated the Undertaker like no one has been able to do before. Jericho interrupts, he says that Josh is right, these ‘gelatinous hypocritical parasites’ were shocked but they shouldn’t have been because he is Chris Jericho. He is the best in the world at what he does today and quite frankly, the Undertaker just like Jimmy Snuka, just like Roddy Piper, just like Ric Flair and just like Mickey Rourke, a washed-up has been who doesn’t know when to give it up. He says the retirement ship for the Undertaker sailed a long time ago but if the Undertaker doesn’t want to realize that… then Jericho will make him realize it at Judgment Day when he extinguishes the legend of The Undertaker.

Before the next match, the Scottish bagpipes play and Drew McIntyre comes out to the ring to boos, Chris Jericho trails along beside him. In the ring, Drew McIntyre gets a microphone, he says that for years he was lost in Florida Championship Wrestling, nowhere to turn, nowhere to go and then two weeks ago on RAW he was put in a match with Mr. Kennedy which he lost, he said he was disinterested until Chris Jericho helped him out, he said that two weeks ago, Jericho went to bat for him and got him called up to the main roster and he is grateful for it, he says that Jericho is the best in the world at what he does today and Drew says he is just as good. He says he proved that last week when he beat the Undertaker but all week he has heard it was a fluke victory but people need to accept what Jericho is saying, that Undertaker is washed-up and can’t compete at their level anymore and he’s going to further prove that tonight when he does something unrivalled, he beats Undertaker two weeks in a row.

Match 4 – The Undertaker vs. Drew McIntyre
Note: Chris Jericho is at ringside.

This was actually a pretty decent contest with Drew McIntyre looking strong once again, the Undertaker looked the best he has since WrestleMania 25 as over the last two RAW’s he has been on, he hasn’t seemed ‘on it’ as it where. Drew is certainly one to watch, his crossbodys and flying forearms were sick and his selling of the Undertaker’s offense was especially sound. The finish to this one came when Drew put Undertaker’s head at the ropes, he brought in a steel chair, the referee tried to get it off of him and with his back turned, Jericho smashed another steel chair to the skull of the Undertaker. The Undertaker fell back into the ring, the referee turned unsure what happened and he couldn’t call it. Drew picked up the lifeless Undertaker and planted him with the Scot Drop picking up an unprecedented second straight win over Undertaker.

Winner: Drew McIntyre via the Scot Drop at 13:21

Jericho gets on the microphone afterwards and says there lies a decrepit has been who’s only fuel and energy left in this business comes from the WWE Universe. He says that the Undertaker has no passion or drive anymore, he just goes through the motions because that’s all he knows how to do because he is washed-up and worn down. He says that the little fuel and energy Undertaker has left will be sucked away dry from him at Judgment Day when he retires the Undertaker in 3 weeks. He says he wants everyone to get a close look, get your cameras because next time the WWE comes to the U.S. Airways Arena for a WWE and a show where the RAW Superstars will appear is WrestleMania 26… and Undertaker won’t be there, he’ll be watching from home retired and most importantly… he won’t have the chance to go 18-0. The crowd boo loudly as the camera fades.

Video Package: The Marine 2 starring Ted DiBiase

Suddenly, the titantron flickers on, Mr. Kennedy is sitting in a room full of Steve Austin posters. Kennedy says that right now he is in Mexico City, Mexico prepping for the first ever live televised RAW in Mexico for the start of the world tour. He says he’s been doing a tonne of promotional work and all week, fans have came up to him asking why he is running from Austin because they are so sure he’d be in Phoenix. Kennedy says that he told them all what he is about to tell the WWE Universe, last week after RAW he was on the phone to Ken Blackwell, someone who works on editing The Expendables and he said that Austin is still in Brazil doing more filming work. Kennedy says that he isn’t running, because Austin isn’t coming. He gave Austin three long weeks to respond and he never, he considered giving Austin one last chance in Phoenix but thought better of it. He says that he is moving on to other things... most importantly… the World Heavyweight Championship. The video ends.

    Commercial

We go backstage where John Cena is preparing for his match, he chugs down a bottle of water and then DJ Gabriel comes into shot dancing. DJ stops and says that Cena shouldn’t be drinking water to get energy for his match… he should be dancing! Cena looks confused and pats DJ on the shoulder, he says ‘your logic confuses me DJ’ before walking off… right into Shawn Michaels. The two stare each other down before Cena continues towards the ring.

    Main Event
    World Heavyweight Championship Match
John Cena © vs. Shawn Michaels

This one had the big-match feel alright and was a scorcher of a match, both men really gave it their all out there and on many occasions it really looked like the match was over when it wasn’t. Showing no ill effects of their cage effort they blasted each other with signature moves including Shawn’s patented elbow drop and flying forearm. Cena did manage to catch Shawn Michaels in the STF but the Heartbreak Kid managed to reach the ropes and Cena released the pressure before Michaels could tap. Then, out of nowhere Shawn Michaels connected with the super kick and it looked to be over but Cena managed to kick out at the very last second to everyone’s shock.

The match continued back and forth for another five minutes, big haymakers were planted with Shawn Michaels edging Cena as the crowd favourite. Cena lifted Shawn for the Attitude Adjustment, Shawn scrambled out, superkick ducked, Cena then clotheslined Shawn out of the ring and shocked everyone by diving out through the middle ropes onto Shawn. The finish to the match finally came when Shawn was climbing up the turnbuckle for presumably a Moonsault, Cena climbed up but got elbowed off. Cena stayed on his feet and grabbed Shawn and lifted him up so what Shawn was facing the ceiling, Cena then planted Shawn with a weird, modified version of the Attitude Adjustment to get the victory.

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: John Cena via the Attitude Adjustment at 18:24

The crowd applauded and cheered both men’s efforts, Shawn shook Cena’s hand and left as Cena celebrated then from out of nowhere a man wearing a large biker’s helmet attacked Cena. Chants of ‘Edge… Edge’ filled the arena but the biker removed his helmet to reveal that he is indeed… Mr. Kennedy! The crowd booed Kennedy thunderously as he picked Cena up and planted him with the Mic Check. He picked Cena up and landed another one before taking the microphone. He says he isn’t really in Mexico, he’s right here in Phoenix to give a message to John Cena, that message being… ‘Say hello to the new Number One Contender’ Kennedy throws down the mic and taunts with the World title as we go off of the air.

    System's Semantics

    RAW

    Intro

    - Aah, pic of doom!
    - I hate the Papa Roach Raw theme, just thought I’d tell you lol.
    - Great recap.
    - Does the WHC spin now? .
    - Whoa, Mean streak by Cena..heel turn coming? Great promo.

    #1 contendership:

    - flung a punch?
    - Bourne gets the win with the SSP. Fun opening match.
    - I thought Kane’s theme was called “Slow Chemical” or something, I suppose it changed.
    - Kane is such an underutilised wrestler, I’m glad to see him getting a push in your fic.

    Divas

-Kelly Kelly drinking..coffee? I’d expect water or some energy drink..she doesn’t seem the type. Was expecting it to get tipped on her.
    - No complains otherwise .

    - Good promo but the last part was just shallow, but I suppose the Diva promos are like that (Hair colour stuff).
    - a stupid BLOND? You Blonde!

Decent match with Maryse getting the win in the end in an even match.

    - They sound like high school girls fighting.

    Sexual Chocolate Vs Ho!

    - Damn I thought Duggan was going to win .
    - Henry’s pissed right off! Did someone steal his Big Mac?
    - Shows the damage Henry can dish out, good stuff.

    - gelatinous sounds like something found in ice cream
    - Jericho/Undertaker fued is going to be fantastic, I’m never wrong

    Undertaker vs Drew Mcyintre

    - I don’t know of Drew IRL .
    - Cheap win over the Undertaker, believable and ads fuel to the Jericho fued.
    - Your Jericho promos are spot on and just simply awesome.

    Pre Match

    - What the shit?
    - Maybe it didnt hit my sense of humour but it seemed very pointless and i didnt think Michaels and Cena needed to interact again before the ME.

    Main Event
    - impressive back and forth match and an intense main event, with a cool ending to the match (modified FU),
    - MISTAHHHHHHHHHHHH KENNEDY!!!!!!! That kicked ass ending was superb.

    Overall:

I still dislike people starting matches with “it was a great match” type stuff, but I know I sound like a broken record. Aside from the Diva promo and rather pointless DJ Gabriel segment is was an entertaining and well done post PPV show, with Cena’s promo being very intriguing (Yeah..i just said that :suspic) and I’m looking forward to the Kennedy/Cena match.

Thanks for that review System and will try to return it at tommorow sometime. A couple of things, I don't know if it's commonly used in America but when talking about a fight here or something we say "he flung a punch" if he just lunges forward with a punch. I just wanted to fit DJ in the show, was a pointless segment though, I'll admit to filling time. I usually spell it blonde but there are two spellings. Thanks for the review though System, much appreciated.

    ECW on Sci-Fi Preview
    April 28th 2009
    Milwaukee, Wisconsin
    Bradley Center

Tonight on April 28th 2009 for the first time since Taboo Tuesday in 2004, the WWE Superstars return to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a rocket-buster of an Extreme Championship Wrestling show. The fall-out from Backlash 2009 will be evident to see as a new king reigns in the Land of Extreme as the ECW World Champion.

Two nights ago at Backlash, Christian defeated Jack Swagger in a hard-fought match to become the ECW World Champion for the first time in his career and as per the stipulation of the match, it means that Jack Swagger will never get another ECW World Championship shot as long as Christian is the ECW Champion. What effect will this have on Swagger?

As for Christian's opponent at Judgment Day, will that will be determined as the ECW Gold Rush Tournament continues in the semi-final stage as John "Bradshaw" Layfield goes one-on-one with R-Truth and The Miz faces Tommy Dreamer a man who vows to retire if he doesn't win the ECW World Championship by June 6th. Dreamer also said he may retire if he loses this tournament as he can't see himself getting another shot at the silver.

In other happenings in the Land of Extreme this week, new boy Tyler Reks makes his debut on the brand but after verbally berating ECW General Manager Tiffany last week, he won't have it easy, not by any stretch of the imagination as Rob Van Dam returns to ECW after a one week absence to break in the former surfer. Reks, who has a bad attitude if you've ever saw one is definitely going to be in for a rough night.

Jeff Hardy came to ECW in the WWE Draft with one goal in mind: to become the ECW World Champion. Hardy planned to participate in the eight-man tournament that began last week but was sidetracked by the ECW Television Champion The Brian Kendrick. Hardy came very close to winning that title in it's inauguration throwing Ezekiel, Kendrick's bodyguard if you will over the top rope and then Kendrick but Kendrick was caught by Ezekiel and as Hardy was 'celebrating his win' Kendrick flung him over the ropes to win his first singles WWE title. This week on ECW, Jeff Hardy will face William Regal, a man looking to make an impact. Can Jeff send a message to Kendrick in this encounter?

Cryme Tyme are coming to ECW! Three weeks ago they were drafted to ECW in the WWE Draft and tonight they finally make their presence felt but they will not have it easy as the Unified Tag Team Champions, Primo and Carlito make their first appearance on a different brand since winning the Unified Tag Titles which allow them to compete on any brand. Will Carlito and Primo have a good night on their first edition of ECW as tag champions or will Cryme Tyme make a mark on the titles by winning on their debut?

In final news, Yoshi Tatsu, one of the most exciting prospects in the WWE makes his ECW debut after earning the spot on the ECW Roster with impressive performances in development territory Florida Championship Wrestling. Tatsu may be worried about a poor debut as he has to face an angry "Samoan Bulldozer" Umaga. Will Tatsu spring the upset of the year or will Umaga continue his mean streak?

Find out all of this tonight at 10/9 CT on the Sci-Fi Network where you will witness an exciting TWO hours of ECW action as WWE returns to the Bradley Center for the first time in five years.

Default Re: WWE: The Draft Changes Everything

    Some news and notes...

    Wrestling News and Notes
    April 28th 2009
    WrestleCircle.com

    - Although it isn't officially confirmed as of yet, it is a lock that Mr. Kennedy and John Cena will battle for the World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day. RAW was supposed to finish with John Cena celebrating his hard-fought victory but the plan was scrapped at the last minute and Kennedy inserted to add to the build for Judgment Day.

    - Speaking of Judgment Day, for the first-time since SummerSlam 1992, a household WWE PPV will take place outside of the United States and Canada as Judgment Day takes place in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Center in Glasgow, Scotland as part of the huge World Tour beginning next week. Other PPVs scheduled to take place outside of the USA and Canada on this World Tour are Extreme Rules which takes place in Aalborg, Denmark. The European Bash which is now the confirmed name takes place in Kosice, Slovakia.

    - Speaking of the huge World Tour, the RAW Superstars are already in Mexico ahead of the tour and after tonight's SmackDown and ECW tapings it is expected that the SmackDown/ECW Superstars will make their way to Mexico for their shows there. The tour has already raked in millions as WWE spans over twenty-six cities in places such as Japan, Australia, the UK, Spain, Finland and many others.

    - There is expected to be 'huge' costs to transport all the equipment from city-to-city each week and WWE have brought equipment for two sets to be constructed as their wouldn't be enough time for the equipment to be taken from a RAW show in say Denmark and then a SmackDown show in Sweden whereas usually they would use one set. This is also costing the WWE money although all tickets for the World Tour are sold-out.

    - Many thought the tour was a ridiculous idea as although in principle it was good it means that the wrestlers are away from their families for over three months and not only that but it was announced so late that the WWE quickly cancelled the European Tour that was scheduled to begin last week and many fans lost out. The good news is that there are no House Shows so the WWE Superstars will have more time off this year than in any year previous as they have a total of seven days until the next taping unless it's a PPV to get from city to city and relax.

    - Many people have e-mailed WrestleCircle.com wondering about the time zones and right now, there doesn't seem to be a plan of action as of yet. There was originally talk of taping the shows to show them at the correct time in America but that results in lower ratings. For shows in the UK and Ireland, the plan is to do them live rather than tape them as they would do in England because it would air at 2am in the UK anyway and that way it can air regularly in the US. For countries like Australia expect the TV shows to be taped. The PPVs will be shown live no matter the time zone, with Slovakia an hour ahead of the UK and around seven ahead of Washington, USA. The PPV will begin at 1opm Slovakian time, 9pm UK time and around 3pm Washington time.

    - Don't be surprised if there any cuts on the roster before the World Tour begins as WWE will be informing talent if they will be needed on the tour.

    - Shawn Michaels is expected to take a break from the WWE starting as early as next week. Michaels who takes part in a highly-regarded bible study is not expected to go on the tour. He is slated to appear on the show in Mexico but other than that it's unlikely he'll be back on WWE TV until the Canada shows. He apparently wants to rest up also and sees this time as the chance to do that.

    - We brought you the story a few weeks ago that the Undertaker was unhappy with his position in the WWE and he wanted some time off. Vince McMahon refused to grant him that time off and he is now in a feud with Chris Jericho. One would assume that Undertaker is happy about going on this rigorous tour but he will most definitely be on the tour until at least Judgment Day in Scotland where he has a match with Jericho.

    - Christian was reportedly 'delighted' with his victory and ECW Championship win at Backlash. As he got backstage he personally thanked Vince McMahon for allowing the change to go through.

    - Kofi Kingston is earmaked as a 'future star' and has been given the chance to shine at Judgment Day in the WWE Championship Match. If he performs well he could well be elevated to Main Event status.

    - Hulk Hogan's contract with TNA ended today. The contract was scheduled to run for a month but he injured his knee early on and there was rumour he'd be back in time for a match at somepoint but he wasn't going to be and TNA just cut his contract.

    - Finally, the whole angle with Mr. Kennedy and Stone Cold Steve Austin is finished. The reason for what we reported at the beginning of the newsletter that Kennedy was inserted late into the broadcast was because for three weeks WWE sent out requests to Stone Cold to appear but he refused and WWE then ended the angle at this week's RAW.

    ECW should be up tomorrow.

Turmoil in WWE before tonight's ECW
    Reported on WrestleCircle.com

    - Just after our weekly newsletter went to press, DJ Gabriel was released from his contract and WWE Superstars Goldust and Ricky Ortiz were suspended for thirty days for violating the company's drug policy for the first time. Ahead of WWE's World Tour this is not good news the last drug suspension was in October when Dolph Ziggler got suspended and then two people have been suspended in one day.

Because of all this controversy, WWE probably wishes they held back the announcement of the release of DJ Gabriel as many will now link that to being drug-related but we can confirm DJ Gabriel was released because WWE didn't see a future for him in the company. As far as him being in last night's broadcast, it was to make him look goofy on his way out and that's what Vince McMahon wanted, apparently.

The feeling is, with our report today that releases could be coming because WWE will be paying talent extra for coming on the tour even though they may not be needed. Evidently, DJ Gabriel was not going to be a huge part of the tour and he was released. It will be interested to see, now that Ricky Ortiz and Goldust will miss one month of the three month World Tour if they are released from their contracts as a result of the drug tests.

Ricky Ortiz has been languishing in his role as a motivational speaker and has performed poorly in the ring, however his match with the Miz this past week got him praise.

Goldust has always been walking a tightrope as it was rumoured that drug problems got him released before in the WWE and with the amount of times he has been fired and re-hired it wouldn't be a surprise to see him given his marching orders. The surprising thing is, WWE may well have gotten the drug test results back on Monday but waited until today to announce them as apparently Goldust was pencilled in to face Mark Herny rather than Jim Duggan, someone who hadn't appeared on TV since the 2009 Royal Rumble.

We hope to have more on this in next week's newsletter.

    SwaggerCC's Raw Review

Opening Fatal Four Way sounds like a great match, and also, I like how you're building Ted in the midcard division now that Legacy is out of the picture. Bourne winning is interesting, and should be fun. Also, nice touch with the whole Kane thing.

Henry/Duggan.. not much to say here. Squash match, served its purpose, made Mark Henry out to be dominant.

I like what you're doing with Drew McIntyre/Chris Jericho, kind of like a Lance Cade/Chris Jericho thing except I wouldn't expect Drew to get abruptly released, haha. Anyways, good on you for making Drew look good against the Undertaker.

Awesome Ken Kennedy promo, and I like how he's gonna get a shot at John Cena's heavyweight championship. I always thought of Ken Anderson as the new Stone Cold Steve Austin before he was released, but that never happened, so maybe you'll give him he shot he ever so deserves here.

John Cena/Shawn Michaels was very good, and it was nice to see a World Championship match in the main event. Cena retaining was no surprise, setting up Ken Kennedy/John Cena at JD. Very good main event.

    Good event overall.

I'm going to basically just recap everything I read and what I liked/disliked so far.

First off, having Kofi Kingston win the tournament was huge and shocking. I really thought it was going to be Punk/Matt with Punk winning, but man to see Kofi/Show shocked the shit out of me and I thought you'd just go with Show winning, but regardless, shockers are always cool.

Kennedy/Austin is a feud I've got going on in my fed, as well and it's definitely great in yours, too. This feud is very tricky and you have to make sure you take your time with it, because one bleh promo could get the readers to just fall out of care for it. Honestly, I know they'll eventually feud in your fed and all, but to have SCSA basically get interviewed and kind of admit that Kennedy attacking him was fake.... was.... horrible. This is Fan Fic where everything is real.

I can't say I like what you're doing with the mid card. I'm real big on mid card guys (Kennedy, MVP, Morrison, Punk, Matt) and I think that's where you get the most fans in, because if you have a good enough main event with an awesome mid card, they'll be bound to read all the way through to the main event. You need to keep the fans interested and besides Kennedy, nobody else is getting me excited. There's a lot of great talent on all three shows, so use them all well.

As for the main events, I always like reading HBK & Taker and I'm most interested in what this whole Jericho/Taker thing is going to lead to, if Kofi will become a World champ and other the usual Cena, Orton crap that does not excite me. To really get fans to want to read, you got to push new mid card wrestlers to the upper mid-card, at the least, or as far as to the main event if you try hard enough. New main eventers are the best, but in order to get that, you have to make sure the upper mid-carders are not stale.

But I'm one to talk about the usual champs, just write with who you write with best. That's how you become better at writing with everyone else. I'll definitely be reading and keep up the good work, it's definitely good, so don't let the negative things out-shine the positive things.

    Here is ECW...

    ECW on Sci-Fi
    April 28th 2009
    Milwaukee Wisconsin
    Bradley Center
    “The Fairytale Continues”

The WWE logo flashes up on the screen followed by the what now seems mandatory ‘not suitable for younger viewers’. Then, much like on RAW the Backlash logo flashes onto the screen and text comes across saying ‘Sunday’, the video shows Christian and Jack Swagger coming out for their match. It continues to show numerous clips of said match until it reaches it’s conclusion where Swagger throws a punch which Christian ducks and lands the Killswitch. The video package finishes with Christian holding the ECW World Championship high into the air as Swagger looks on angry from the stage.

Don’t Question My Heart begins to play by Saliva and then the Opening Introduction Package plays going through the majority of the ECW roster but this time at the end instead of Swagger, it is Christian holding up the ECW World Championship. The camera goes inside the Bradley Center for the first time in five years for a WWE show and a dazzling array of pyrotechnics, much like on RAW go off. The camera then swings around and we hear the familiar voices of the ECW Announce Team, Josh Matthews and Matt Striker. They welcome us to the show, run-down what is going to happen and then lead us to the next segment.

On Your Knees by Age Against the Machine plays and the crowd being booing as Jack Swagger walks onto the stage wearing a cream suit. Swagger is looking pretty glum. He continues walking down the ramp ignoring the fans as he usually does and enters the ring. He takes a microphone as chants of ‘Christian’ fill the arena. Swagger tells everyone to shut up! This gets some boos, Swagger says that it’s obvious they were all expecting someone else, expecting the new ECW World Champion, Christian! This gets cheers, Swagger says that they may have expected Christian to come down here and talk about his win… but right now, this is his time. He says that two nights ago at Backlash, he lost his focus and Christian managed a fluke victory… before Swagger continues boos fill the arena. Swagger says that he probably be able to accept that, put in his rematch clause and win the title back tonight but he can’t because the General Manager, Tiffany put up some stupid stipulation that prevents him competing for the title while Christian is champion! This gets cheers too. Swagger says that he is sick of the way he has been treated by the ECW General Manager and for that reason he has no other choice but to quit! Swagger says he is leaving the ECW brand. He goes to leave the ring…

Just Close Your Eyes hits and the crowd rise to their feet and cheer loudly as the new ECW World Champion, Christian comes onto the stage searching for his peeps. Then he puts the microphone to his lips, ‘it’s not fair, it’s not fair’ he whines mocking Swagger. Swagger is irate, Christian says to Swagger ‘if your done, you can leave.’… Swagger is reluctant but goes through with his decision and leaves the ring. He stops at the stage staring at Christian before leaving the arena as an ECW Superstar for the last time. Christian continues to the ring and gets into it. He says ‘now that doofus has quit, I can say what I wanted to say’ the crowd cheer, agreeing with Captain Charisma. Christian says two nights ago at Backlash he won his first major Heavyweight Championship, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. The crowd cheer loudly, Christian says he couldn’t be more proud holding a belt with such a valued history and says that he plans to do his best every ECW, every live event and every PPV to defend the title with honour, determination and integrity.

He says that he begins his journey as ECW World Champ at Judgment Day when he faces JBL, R-Truth, The Miz or Tommy Dreamer. He says he wishes all four combatants the best of luck and whoever wins the Gold Rush Tournament, he looks forward to having a heck of a match with them at Judgment Day. Christian drops the microphone and poses with his belt but is taken down from behind by William Regal. Christian gets to his hands and knees, shaken by the attack and then the Knee Trembler! Christian is unconscious! Regal locks in the Regal Stretch for a good two minutes and then takes the microphone. He says he warned everyone last week he was going to make an impact, the years of people disrespecting him are over… and that that right there, is your impact. Regal drops the microphone.

    COMMERCIAL

    Match 1 – JBL vs. R-Truth
    Gold Rush Tournament Semi-Final

Longhorn by Jim Johnston hits and the crowd begin booing as the long stretch white limousine comes onto the stage. The door opens and the chauffeur opens the door for JBL. The New Yorker does a little jig on the stage before continuing to the ring. We are told by Tony Chimel that JBL is from New York City, New York and weighs 290lbs. JBL enters the ring and takes a microphone, he says that tonight he will take another step towards greatness in the WWE and ECW when he advances to the final… and that is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

What’s Up by R-Truth sounds out and the crowd begin cheering, one section louder than most as R-Truth comes down through the crowd singing his trademark song. Truth gets a few fans to say what’s up before getting into the ring. JBL does not look impressed. We are told R-Truth is from Charlotte, North Carolina and weighs 228lbs. Truth continues his rap until the music stops.

The opening portion of this match was pretty good and R-Truth is doing himself no harm with his stellar performances on ECW recently. Truth comes off of the ropes but is met with a big shoulder tackle, Truth sells this. JBL picks up Truth and clubs his back, Truth fights back and forearms JBL, Truth comes off of the ropes and takes down JBL. Truth signals for the Scissor Kick but misses and JBL boots R-Truth right in the face. He waits for Truth to rise to his feet and clobbers him with a huge Clothesline from Hell. Truth is out, JBL goes for the cover and pins him advancing to the final of the Gold Rush Tournament.

Winner: JBL via the Clothesline from Hell at 7:32

Video Package: World Tour NEXT WEEK!

We cut backstage and Tiffany is shuffling through some papers, Jack Swagger comes straight in wearing a tracksuit top and bottoms carrying a heavy bag. ‘Listen, Jack’ says Tiffany, she continues saying that she apologizes if Swagger feels like he’s been mistreated on ECW but he is valuable star and has a new contract on offer for him. Swagger says it’s no use Tiffany trying to buy him to stay, he says he’s finished and he’s going somewhere where he has been offered an opportunity and thank you for nothing. Swagger leaves and William Regal comes into the office and says that she doesn’t need a scallywag like Swagger on the roster, she needs someone like him, William Regal. He asks Tiffany if she saw what he did earlier and she says she did. Regal continues and says that he deserves an ECW Championship Match next week. Tiffany says she doesn’t quite know if Regal deserves it, but the current ECW Champion Christian requested the match for next week… it’s on! Regal looks satisfied and leaves.

    Commercial

Match 2 – Umaga vs. Yoshi Tatsu

The music of Yoshi Tatsu plays, a newcomer who is part of the New Superstar Initiative. Tatsu is fired up and he comes running down the ramp clapping the hands of the fans. He enters the ring and taunts some more as we are told he is from Tokyo, Japan and weighs 230lbs. Tatsu taunts some more.

Tribal Trouble hits and the crowd begin to boo the Samoan Bulldozer. Umaga comes down the ramp looking rather emotionless staring at Yoshi Tatsu the whole time. We are told he weighs 350lbs and is from the Isle of Samoa. Umaga gets into the ring and taunts some more.

Yoshi Tatsu climbs the top rope and comes off with a missile dropkick which takes down Umaga, Tatsu immediately goes for the cover but it isn’t enough to keep down the wrecking ball. Tatsu climbs the turnbuckle again and lands a flying leg drop but again the cover isn’t enough. Tatsu aims a kick right at Umaga’s head but Umaga shakes it off and grabs Tatsu flinging him half-way across the ring. Umaga then climbs the turnbuckle and lands his Samoan Splash but Tatsu, surprisingly, is able to kick out. The finish to this match came when Yoshi Tatsu climbed the top turnbuckle one too many times and came down but was met with a Samoan Spike! This one is over.
Winner: Umaga via Samoan Spike at 6:43

Video Package: A video plays of Sim Snuka wrestling and then Snuka appears. He says that ECW better watch out because he might end up cracking em’ in the mouth.

We go backstage with Beverly Mullins, she says at this time she is joined by The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel. Beverly says that tonight in the Main Event, Jeff Hardy battles William Regal just two weeks before Judgment Day where The Brian Kendrick defends his ECW Television Championship against Jeff. Beverly turns to Kendrick and says that for weeks, everyone has been saying that the way Kendrick won the title was cheap and that if it hadn’t been for Ezekiel, you would’ve been eliminated and Jeff Hardy would the TV Champion. Kendrick interrupts, he says ‘could of, would have, should of’ it doesn’t matter. Maybe if Jeff showed the same ring awareness as him and Ezekiel, he would’ve thrown him over another set of ropes rather than the ones Ezekiel went over. He said Jeff screwed Jeff in the Battle Royal and that he and Ezekiel were just smart. He said that last week, Jeff beat Ezekiel in Extreme Rules to secure a match for the title at Judgement Day, but again it doesn’t really matter because at Judgment Day… the Man with a Plan is leaving with the Television Championship. Ezekiel follows Kendrick off, but stops and says ‘you better believe that’.

Match 3 – Cryme Tyme vs. Primo and Carlito
    Non-Title Match

Cool hits and the crowd begin cheering as the Unified Tag Team Champions, Carlito and Primo come onto the stage for the first time in ECW. They have the Unified belts they unveiled on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago on their shoulders and continue down the ramp. They stop, point to the stage and the Bella Twins come onto the stage. We are told the brothers are from San Juan, Puerto Rico and they weigh a combined 438lbs. The Bellas take ringside seats as Carlito and Primo stand in the ring.

Bringin Da’ Hood T U hits and Cryme Tyme, Shad Gaspard and JTG come onto the stage making their Extreme Championship Wrestling debuts. They continue down the ramp clapping the fans hands before entering the ring and taunting some more. We are told they are from Brooklyn, New York and weigh a combined 530lbs. They taunt some more.

Shad whips Carlito into the ropes and Carlito comes back but receives a big back body drop, Carlito holds his back in pain. Shad picks up Carlito and tags in to JTG who jumps over the ropes with a flying clothesline taking down the Caribbean Caper. The cover only gets two, JTG goes for a suplex but slips out the back… BackStabber! Both men are down and out! Carlito is desperately looking for a tag to Primo and JTG to Shad… tag to Shad… tag to Primo, both men charge in and meet in the middle exchanging hands. They come off of the ropes, Shad goes for a clothesline, Primo a spear and Shad comes off worst. Primo climbs the top rope looking for a crossbody but as he is coming down… Knockout Punch! The Big Show has appeared from nowhere! The referee calls for the bell, Primo is out. Carlito gets into the ring but receives a Knockout Punch! The Bellas look concerned, Shad and JTG try to attack Show but receive a Double Chokeslam!

Winners: Carlito and Primo via a disqualification at 8:34

Show bellows ‘I asked you, what can you do to me, really?’ before laughing and leaving the ring as the Bellas get in and check on Primo and Carlito.

    COMMERCIAL

Match 4 – Tyler Reks vs. Rob Van Dam

The music of Tyler Reks hits and he comes onto the stage for his in-ring debut looking cocky. We are told he is from Laguna Beach, California and weighs 250lbs. Reks gets into the ring and takes a microphone. He says that last week he came to ECW, expecting opportunity to knock at his door… expecting people to come to him but instead he had to go to the GM, Tiffany to get a debut match and that doesn’t pleased Tyler Reks. He says that he can totally understand why Jack Swagger quit earlier because Tiffany clearly isn’t up to the job… but he is bigger, better, faster and stronger than Jack Swagger and he won’t take the crybaby way out by quitting because he Tyler Reks… don’t forget that.

One of a Kind hits and the crowd jump to their feet as Rob Van Dam comes onto the stage after a week absence from ECW. RVD does the ‘R…V…D’ taunt and we are told he is from Battle Creek, Michigan and weighs 237lbs. He does his taunt some more before getting in the ring and taking a microphone. He says that it’s been a whirlwind two weeks before returning to where he belongs E…C…W. He says that he hadn’t had much of a chance to talk about his return but now he thinks it’s an ideal time… he is taken down by Tyler Reks though.

Reks takes down Rob Van Dam with a stiff clothesline, he goes for the cover but only gets two. Reks picks up RVD and forearms him repeatedly in the face and Rob’s nose is busted open, don’t know if that was planned or not but the shots seemed excessively stiff. Reks picks up Rob Van Dam and just slams him to the ground, he comes off the ropes with a leg drop. Cover gets two. He picks up RVD but gets a kicks square in the jaw, Rolling Thunder! Cover, gets two! RVD picks Reks to the corner, already signalling for the Frog Splash. Reks climbs up, PILEDRIVER FROM THE TOP ROPE TO THE MAT! Reks goes for the cover and gets three!

Winner: Tyler Reks via Top Rope Piledriver at 7:45

Note: There will be an explanation for Rek’s finisher later.

    Video Package: Ezekiel

Match 5 – Tommy Dreamer vs. The Miz
    Gold Rush Tournament Semi-Final

Man in the Box hits and the crowd go crazy as Tommy Dreamer comes onto the stage wearing his usual attire. We are told he is from Yonkers, New York and weighs 255lbs. Dreamer does his ‘E…C…W’ taunt.

Reality hits and The Miz comes onto the stage to boos. We are told he is from Cleveland, Ohio. He saunters down to the ring and we are also told he weighs 231lbs.

The Miz whips Dreamer into the turnbuckles and does his running clothesline thing. He goes for the cover but Dreamer kicks out at two. Miz comes off of the top rope with an impressive dropkick but again that is not enough right now. The Miz, rather frustrated rams his knee to the face of Dreamer before going for the Reality Check but misses and hits turnbuckle. Dreamer puts him upside down, taunts and does the dropkick. The Miz gets up and then walks into the Dreamer DDT! The cover and it’s over. Dreamer is in the final, next week!

Winner: Tommy Dreamer via the Dreamer DDT at 8:32

JBL runs into the ring and smashes Tommy Dreamer with the Clothesline from Hell. He stands over Dreamer to huge boos.

    Commercial

We go backstage with Beverly Mullins again and she says she is surprisingly joined by the translator of The Great Khali, Ranjin Singh! She says that last week Khali attacked Ranjin and wants to know what the deal is. Ranjin says that Khali and him have some differences that are now resolved and just wanted to clear things up. Khali walks into shot and grabs Ranjin and flings him into a steel shutter. Khali mouths something in his language and walks off. He stops as Festus stares blankly from down the hall before walking on. Random…

    Main Event
    Jeff Hardy vs. William Regal

Gladiator hits and William Regal comes out, we are told he is from Blackpool, England and that he weighs 244lbs. Regal taunts in the ring for a bit.

No More Words plays and Jeff Hardy comes onto the stage dancing around as pyrotechnics go off. He continues down the ramp clapping the fans hands before entering the ring ready for his match.

Jeff comes off of the top rope with a Whisper in the Wind! The crowd cheer loudly but Regal covers and slams Jeff with a sick clothesline. Regal only gets two on the cover. Regal picks up Jeff and whips him into the ropes but Jeff comes back with a flying forearm. Jeff then shouts ‘Milwaauuukkeeeee’ before jumping onto the top rope going for the Swanton but Regal jumps up to the turnbuckle and just grabs Jeff, falls backwards and flings him back to the ring but the cover gets two. Jeff manages to get to his feet and elbows Regal, he goes for a Springboard move using the ropes but Regal wraps his arms around him… German Suplex. Cover gets two.

As the match continues Jeff lands the Twist of Fate but in another twist, Regal manages to surprisingly kick out. Jeff goes for the Swanton again but misses. Jeff runs at Regal but gets his knee kicked out from under him. Jeff falls to his hands and knees, Knee Trembler! Cover gets three and William Regal has defeated Jeff Hardy.

Winner: William Regal via the Knee Trembler at 13:45

The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel hit the ring, The Kendrick on Hardy! Regal locks in the Regal Stretch, but Christian hits the ring with a chair, one for Ezekiel, one for Kendrick and one for Regal. Killswitch hits! Christian holds his title high into the air as we go off the air.

Swagger quitting.. I had mixed emotions about. Kinda mad because I love Swagger, but hopefully this means onto bigger and better things for my boy.

JBL/R-Truth was a good match that served it's purpose. For some reason, it's hard to imagine JBL on ECW, but that's just me.

Umaga/Yoshi Tatsu was good. I like how you made Tatsu look at least somewhat strong here, because I like him and after all, he was facing Umaga. But I do like Eddie Fatu and was glad you gave him the win.

Cryme Tyme/Carlito & Primo...you know how I feel about Cryme Tyme, but whatever. Good little match, interested to see where this whole Big Show thing goes.

RVD/Tyler Reks was pretty fuckin' solid. You know I'm a fan of Reks, and it's of course great to see Van Dam back. Oh, and Reks's finisher is sick if I do say so myself.

Dreamer/Miz was what it was. Not much to say here. JBL interfering was obviously because they will face off next week I'm guessing.. yeah. By the way, I don't see how you can call it a gold rush tournament, when the ECW strap is platinum.

The Main Event was enjoyable. One thing I don't understand is why would you put the number one contender for the midcard title in the main event, while not even giving Christian Cage a match? Just my two cents, but at least you managed to get Christian in the end there, to close off ECW

Overall: Good freakin' show. I like what you're doing with ECW, as you are treating it as at least somewhat equal to Raw and Smackdown. Good job.

Triple H “Release” Explained and More

Yesterday, the wrestling community was shocked when Triple H was ‘released’ from his WWE contract. It turns out that Triple H is STILL a WWE Superstar and the article posted was a goodbye present to the WWE from one of the WWE.com workers. It appears that one of the WWE.com staff handed his notice last month and being unhappy in the WWE decided to play the trick as some sort of revenge. The page was eventually taken down but many were said to be irate as it was mis-leading and many who already read it may now think Triple H has actually been released from the company.

Triple H, who is currently out of action following a punt from Randy Orton actually took the joke well according to all sources.

WWE.COM STATEMENT ON TRIPLE H RELEASE
    WRITTEN APRIL 30TH 2009

It has come to the attention of World Wrestling Entertainment that yesterday an article was posted onto the website claiming that legendary SmackDown superstar Triple H had been released from the company. We can confirm that this article was a result of vandalism on the part of a now former WWE.com staff member who is being dealt with severely.

We at WWE.com wish to apologize for this mishap and reiterate that Triple H is still a member of the WWE Universe and has not been released. We strive to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for your continued patience.

    System’s Semantics:

    ECW

    Intro:
    - Thanks for clearing up that Age Against The Machine thing for me
    - Swagger has a cry and backs his bags in typical heel fashion. Heading to greener pastures? I hope.
    - Very well done exchange showing Swagger’s confusion.
    - Nice face promo by Christian

    JBL Vs R-Truth:

    - Haha, the truth line was cool. No idea what a jig is
    - Doesn’t R-Truth gets sick of singing that shit?
    - I don’t like the “he sold it” stuff as I think I’ve mentioned before, but that’s just preference.
    - JBL gets a fairly dominate win on Truth.

    Tiffany backstage:

The busty blonde types at her desk then Swagger walks in wearing very loose fitting tracksuit pants and demands Tiffany to GET ON HER KNEES!
My Point: Tiffany’s fucking hot, I’d have my breakfast there any time.

    Umaga Vs Yoshi Tatsu

    - never seen Tatsu wrestle but he sounds cool, I’m an Umaga fan.
    - Umaga was able to showcase the powerhouse monster that he is and Tatsu the high flying moves with some lethal kicks, good match.

    Snuka:
Jimmy Snuka? The Shit? Oh Sim Snuka, Duece.

    Kendrick & Ezekiel Promo:
    - Kendrick the little midget punk delivers a great promo.

    Cryme Tyme Vs The Colons

    - Fun tag match, Bella twins are hot.
    - WELL ITS DA BIG SHOW~!!!
    - Big Show cleans fucking house.

    - I’d take a beating from Big show if I got to be with the Bella Twins..ok maybe not I’d be dead.

    Tyler Vs RVD:
    - Decent match, was expecting more from RVD.
    - Piledriver form the top motherfucking rope? Rob Van Dead what a move!!!

    Dreamer Vs Miz:

    - Dreamer gets the win, a brief but enjoyable match.
    - Dreamer gets clotheslined! Can’t say I’ve ever seen a Dreamer/JBL fued

    Backstage:

    - I can’t tell if Khali is speaking English or not half the time.
    - I already saw he was released but interesting move.
    - Fuck a Festus/Khali fued would have the best promos ever!
    - Random.. I hate the overuse of that word.

    Mainevent:

    - I’m going for Regal here.
    - Very good match with their contrasting styles there.
    - Regal wins!!
    - Kendrick and Zeke interfere than Christian clears house to end the show.

    Overall:
A very enjoyable ECW show, still don’t like the non-kayfabe stuff but that’s your style. No complaints, just another solid edition of ECW. As for the releases, Triple H is my favourite wrestler but very interesting move there, but as for releasing Ranjin Singh WHAT THE FUCK MAN? You've killed your whole fed now! He is the Hulk Hogan of this generation . J/K
EDIT: That Triple H/WWE hack thing is very interesting. *wonders where this will go*

    Preview...

    WWE SmackDown Preview
    Milwaukee, Wisconsin
    May 1st 2009

    Still Champ!

SmackDown invades Milwaukee on this May 1st for an exciting night of action. Last Sunday, at the blockbuster Backlash, Randy ‘The Viper’ Orton defeated Batista and Rey Mysterio under questionable circumstances to retain his WWE Championship. Now, after that victory Randy Orton has an entirely new contender to challenge with, that being Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston shocked the WWE Universe at Backlash by chopping down the seven-foot giant, The Big Show to earn a WWE Championship shot at Backlash, his first shot at the title. Before he is prepared to concentrate on Kingston however, Orton has plans to introduce the WWE Universe to the new third member of Legacy following Cody Rhodes move to SmackDown. Who will be the new member of this Legacy team?

    Torn Tandem

At Backlash, in the aforementioned Triple Threat Match, Randy Orton sickeningly targeted the leg of Batista with a steel chair essentially removing Batista from the action. It was then a one-on-one contest between Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton and Rey, like he had three weeks ago in a non-title match and the week later in a title match, Rey got the better of Orton but for the third time, victory was snatched from his hands by the same man, Batista.

The question on everyone’s mind is weather or not it was intentional. We all know the spear from Batista two weeks ago was intentional and that he was doing it to get into the title match and all seemed to be forgotten between the two but then last week on SmackDown, it appeared that Rey elbowed Batista’s eye in a Handicap Match against Randy Orton and Batista flung Rey into the RKO, accidentally. Now, Batista knowing he couldn’t even stand with his leg in the shape it was in used his last ounce of energy just to stop his ‘friend’ winning the gold! What will Rey have to say to Batista?

    Warning! Warning!

Two weeks ago, Paul Burchill delivered a startling warning that he was prepared to do whatever it took to get noticed and then last week told how his warning went unheeded and that now bad things were going to happen. With the brute force of Regal making an impact on ECW, Burchill a fellow Englishman will look to do the same but he’ll have no easy task when he is matched up with Mr. Money in the Bank, CM Punk, who will be able to prevail?

    Knockout Encounters

Almost everytime the Colons, the Unified Tag Team Champions have been met by the giant, Big Show it has ended in a Knockout Punch each. The devastating finisher is not an enviable finisher to take but Primo was on the receiving end of it three nights ago on ECW when in a match with Cryme Tyme, he came off of the top rope into the Knockout Punch. It seems that Big Show has some sort of fixation with the Colons and even the Bella Twins, this Friday on SmackDown, Carlito has challenged Big Show to a match.

Is this a wise move? After all Primo is at home nursing what we believe to be a broken jaw from the heinous attack.

    WrestleMania Jealously

It was plain as day to see, Michelle McCool, a former Divas Champion is jealous of her new band mate Melina. Miss. WrestleMania, Melina was awarded with her sash and crown at Backlash to the dismay of Michelle but at Judgment Day the fiery divas will compete for the Women’s title. Before that however, in a blockbuster six-diva tag. Melina teams with the Bella Twins to take on Michelle McCool, Katie Lea and newcomer Jenny Cash.

Who can come out on top?

Find out ALL THIS and MUCH MORE on MYNETWORKTV at 8/7 CT.

    SmackDown!

    WWE Friday Night SmackDown
    Taped from Milwaukee, Wisconsin
    May 1st 2009
    Bradley Center
    “Closer Judgment”

The show opens in the same manner as what ECW and RAW did with a video package documenting Backlash. We see Kofi Kingston winning the King of the Ring tournament, Melina being crowned Miss. WrestleMania and Randy Orton retaining his WWE Championship. The package then ends and Rock Like Me plays and the normal SmackDown introduction package plays but this time Cody Rhodes appears in it having secured a move to SmackDown. The camera then goes inside the arena and we are treated to a spectacular pyrotechnics display before going to the announce table of Jim Ross and Todd Grisham who run down the bill for tonight’s event.

Voices hits abruptly and the crowd begin to boo as Randy Orton, the new WWE Champion comes onto the stage accompanied by Legacy-mate Cody Rhodes. The two walk down the ramp wearing ‘Legacy’ shirts with the WWE Championship over the shoulder of Randy Orton. Orton continues down the ramp with Rhodes before entering the ring. He takes a microphone and gets ready to speak. Orton begins by saying that just last Sunday he re-solidified his place in the annals of WWE history when he defeated Rey Mysterio and Batista to retain his WWE Championship. He said that wasn’t the only thing that happened at Backlash that concerns him… at Backlash the greatest young superstar in the sport, Cody Rhodes defeated that lowlife Ted DiBiase to earn a move where he belongs… SmackDown!

He also says that at Backlash, Kofi Kingston surprised everyone by defeating the Big Show and becoming the King of the Ring and thus earning a shot at the WWE Championship, his WWE Championship at Backlash. He says that Kingston can prance around knowing he is King of the Ring, knowing he has secured a shot and can wave his crown proudly in the air but at the end of the day… come Backlash… one RKO… or one… punt to his skull will leave him incapacitated and will leave him wondering why he even bothered. He says that Kofi Kingston is nothing more than some kid who got lucky and earned his shot in the big leagues… Orton says that’s fine because he’ll get a Reality Check come May 17th.

Orton says that isn’t the only thing he wanted to talk about tonight, he said that at Backlash he told Cody Rhodes that he had lined up a third member of Legacy after the departure of Ted DiBiase and he says without further ado he would like to introduce him. Orton says that this man isn’t a second-generation superstar but he is quickly making his own name in the WWE and he is already a former champion and he is…

On Your Knees sounds and Jack Swagger cockily walks onto the stage wearing a Legacy shirt. Swagger smirks and continues down the ramp before entering the ring, he shakes hands with Cody Rhodes and then Randy Orton. Swagger takes the microphone… he says that that’s right, he is the newest member of Legacy. He says that he doesn’t need to be a second-generation superstar because he is just simply great. He is a former ECW World Champion for crying out loud. Swagger says that he quit ECW because he was being treated unfairly… on SmackDown, he’s joined the best faction in wrestling and the best brand and that Legacy will dominate like never before…

SOS sounds next and the crowd leap to their feet, Kofi Kingston comes onto the stage wearing his King of the Ring crown and the three members of Legacy are dismayed. Kingston has a microphone. Orton asks ‘just what in the hell are you doing here, Kofi?’ Kingston says that it’s pretty neat, he’s the first ever Jamaican King of the Ring and he has every reason to be out here, after all he is challenging for the WWE Championship at Judgment Day. Kingston says that at Backlash, he has every intention of leaving Scotland with the WWE Championship.

Orton says what is neat is that Kingston actually had the guts to come out here and face them and interrupt them… he admires that but the admiration stops there. He says if he wanted to, he could grab that silly little crown, take Kingston to this ring… punt him in the skull and end his career right now… if he wanted to, but he doesn’t. Orton says he has already ended the career of Triple H and wouldn’t hesitate to do it to Kingston after Judgment Day. He says that he wants to teach Kingston a lesson and he’ll do so at Judgement Day and then he’ll enforce the early retirement. Kingston takes his crown off and says that Orton’s attitude stinks, he says that if he wanted to right now… he could take down all three members of Legacy… right now!

The crowd cheer loudly as Orton smirks, ‘why don’t you try it then?’ Kingston runs to the ring as JR questions his decision. Kingston spears down Orton but Swagger grabs Kingston and lands the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Rhodes then lands the Cross Rhodes. Orton stands up, ‘you brought this on yourself, Kofi’ and lines up the punt. He is about to do it when MacMilitant hits and Theodore Long shouts for Orton to stop and Orton does reluctantly. Long says that Kingston wants his hands on Legacy… and Legacy want their hands on Kofi so they’re gonna’ have a Six-Man Tag Team Match, tonight! Holla! Holla! Holla! Long says if there is any more physical contact between them until the Main Event, Orton will be stripped of his title and Kofi his match.

    COMMERCIAL

Backstage, Jenny Cash is wearing small shorts and a top in preparation for her debut match. A door opens and out comes Dolph Ziggler, he and Cash kiss in the hallway before Cash goes to walk off. Ziggler slaps her on the bum and then does his ‘hair taunt’ as Cash giggles.

Match 1 – Jenny Cash, Michelle McCool and Katie Lea vs. Melina, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella
    Six-Diva Tag Match

Not Enough For Me sounds out and the crowd begin to boo as the All-American Girl Michelle McCool comes onto the stage with Jenny Cash and Katie Lea in tow. They walk down the ramp and we are told that they are Team Michelle. They enter the ring and taunt.

Paparazzi is next and the WWE Women’s Champion Melina comes onto the stage taunting followed by Brie and Nikki Bella, the Bella Twins who do their signature poses. We are told they are Team Melina and they continue down the ramp before Melina does her splits entrance as The Bellas pose on the apron.

Cash lands a beautiful dropkick on Brie Bella and quickly goes for the cover but Brie manages to get out before three. Cash picks up Brie and tags in Katie Lea. Lea grabs Brie by the hair and flings her half-way across the ring, a smile etched on her face. She tags out to Michelle, Michelle comes in and drops an elbow on Brie as the quick tags continue. Michelle tags out to Jenny again but Jenny goes for a clothesline, Brie ducks and wallops her with a kick… tag to Nikki… tag to Katie Lea… Nikki charges in and takes down Lea and then Michelle but Lea recovers and flings Nikki into her (Melina’s) corner, Melina does a blind tag which Katie doesn’t see. Melina comes in and grabs Lea from behind… Primal ScreamLast Call! It’s over.

Winners: Melina and the Bella Twins at 5:45

Michelle is less than impressed as Melina and the Bellas celebrate, Cash however runs in and grabs Brie and flings her from the ring, Lea does the same to Nikki and Melina is all alone. Like henchwoman Lea and Cash do a chop block to both of Melina’s knees as the Women’s Champion falls to the ground. Michelle begins screaming at Melina that it’s her title. As Melina struggles to her feet Michelle grabs her… Faith Breaker! Melina is down and out, Michelle leaves with Melina’s Women’s Championship!

    Video Package: World Tour

We go backstage where Josh Matthews is filling in for Jenny Cash. Matthews says that at this time he is joined by Paul Burchill. Burchill comes into shot, Josh says that two weeks ago Burchill delivered a startling message that no one was safe from the Ripper and then last week Burchill told everyone that his warning had went unheeded and bad things would happen, Josh asks if he can elaborate? Burchill smirks and says that he can elaborate… he says that ever since he came to WWE, he has been held down and held back on RAW and ECW. On SmackDown in 2006, he shone but that was ripped away from him when he was sent back to development. He said he’s back and he isn’t getting opportunity. He says that Josh witnessed first hand what a fellow Englishman in William Regal can do and to imagine it x10. Burchill says that tonight when he faces CM Punk, he isn’t just going to take the win… he’s going to take his career. Burchill walks off.

Match 2 – Paul Burchill vs. CM Punk

Generator A plays and Paul Burchill comes onto the stage, we are told by Justin Roberts that he is from Chelsea, England and weighs 247lbs. Burchill gets into the ring with a less-than-impressed look on his face waiting for the arrival of CM Punk.

This Fire Burns plays and CM Punk comes onto the stage taunting with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Punk continues down the ramp taunting some more and clapping the fans hands. He walks up the stairs and we are told he is a Chicago, Illinois native and weighs 222lbs. Punk gets into the ring taunting.

Burchill takes Punk down with a sick-looking clothesline from nowhere but gets two on the cover. He picks up Punk and slams him with a European uppercut before kicking him in the gut and dropping him with a DDT but again the cover only gets two. Burchill picks up Punk and goes to whip him into the turnbuckle but Punk reverses and then lands the running knee to the head. He lands the bulldog and the cover only gets two. The finish to this match comes when Punk goes for another knee but Burchill kicks Punk hard in the gut and then lands the Twisted Sister – a Swinging Neckbreaker and gets the three count.

Winner: Paul Burchill via the Twisted Sister at 10:32

Burchill picks up Punk and lands the Twisted Sister again… and again… and again… and again. He takes a microphone and says, just like he said no one is safe… no one is ever safe when he is around.

    COMMERCIAL

Match 3 – Big Show vs. Carlito

Crank It Up sounds out and Big Show comes onto the stage to boos, he continues down the ramp. We are told he weighs 487lbs and comes from Tampa, Florida. He gets into the ring and does his signature taunt.

Cool is next to play on the speaker system and Carlito comes onto the stage with a microphone. We are told he weighs 220lbs and is from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Carlito enters the ring and immediately asks what Big Show’s problem is. He says two weeks he, he lost to Show in the King of the Ring Match and ever since he’s confronted him and his brother at every turn saying how they can’t do anything to him and then three nights ago on ECW… he broke his brother’s jaw with that sick Knockout Punch. He just wants to know what his problem is. Show laughs and says that he has no problem with them personally, he just enjoys beating people up. He says that he does want something – those Unified Tag Championships. Carlito says ‘fine, as soon as Primo is healed, you find a partner, we fight’. Carlito says after that, Show leaves them alone and Show says ‘Carlito, that’s fine but I’ll leave you with nothing because you won’t have the titles.’

Show takes down Carlito with a big shoulder tackle, Carlito gets up feeling the effects but fights back and dropkicks Show knee which brings him down to just the one knee. Carlito comes off of the ropes with a flying clothesline. Carlito goes for the cover but only gets two. Carlito goes for a springboard elbow but is given a blow to the back. This winds Carlito and he turns into a Chokeslam which ends the bout.

Winner: Big Show via the Chokeslam at 6:32.

Show waits for Carlito to get to his feet and lines up for the Knockout Punch but the Bella Twins run in to protect Carlito. Show walks forward and gets right close to their faces before leaving.

    Video Package

Booyaka hits and the crowd leap to their feet as Rey Mysterio comes onto the stage carrying a microphone. He doesn’t look pleased again but does his usual taunt with the crowd and with the kids. He gets into the ring and immediately gets everyone quiet. He goes to speak but stops, looking to find the words. He says he wants everyone to take a look at this…

We see a replay of the Backlash WWE Championship Match where Rey lands the 619, West Coast Pop and Droppin’ The Dime only for it to be broken up by Batista who couldn’t do anything else because he couldn’t stand from the leg injury. The camera turns back to Rey. He says that he doesn’t know about everyone else but it’s pretty clear to him that Batista went out of his way, despite being in immense pain to stop his friend winning the title. He says that Batista couldn’t stand up after the attack by Orton and wouldn’t have been able to go after Orton to win the title anyway so he just came in and stopped him winning it.

Rey changes his tone, he says the lying is all over, it’s finished… he says that two weeks ago, he accepted Batista’s reasoning against better judgment, then last week he took Batista’s word for it against better judgment… but now he’s finished with the forgiving… he says he wants Batista out here right now so they can finish this man to man.

I Walk Alone plays and the crowd are now booing Batista pretty loudly. Batista has a microphone and stands on the stage and goes to speak. ‘What, are you scared, come down here and face me like a man, Dave.’ Says Rey and Batista lifts his hands up, shrugs his shoulders and walks to the ring, he enters the ring and stands next to Rey, ready to speak. He says that Rey and the WWE Universe can believe what they want. He says that quite frankly, he is surprised at the accusations, he is a man who prides himself in his matches and does everything he can to win titles, he knew his leg was busted at Backlash but wasn’t going to give up so he broke up the pinfall, tried to stand and simply couldn’t do it. It wasn’t to spite Rey but it makes him look bad because of what has happened in the past few weeks. Rey says he doesn’t believe him one bit, Batista isn’t a nice guy anymore, he isn’t the fun-loving Batista he knows. He changed and he’s a completely different person.

‘You know what, Rey? Your probably right!’ and Batista spears the living daylights out of Rey Mysterio as the arena descends into boos. Batista says theirs a hidden agenda in all of this, he says that he’s been WWE Champion and he’s done that. Batista stops and picks up the fallen Intercontinental Championship. He says he has never held this, he says this is the one thing stopping him from becoming a Triple Crown Champion… something he has wanted to do his whole career. He says Rey was too mixed up in the WWE Championship hunt, Batista had to do something about it. He says that he wants a match at Judgment Day for the belt and then picks up Rey and Batista Bomb! The crowd continue to boo as Batista smirks staring blankly at the title.

    Commercial

We go backstage with Theodore Long and then Santino Marella barges in. ‘Mr. Teddy Bear! Santino Marella is ready to lay the Smack-a-Down on anyone on… Smack-a-Down!’ Long smiles and says ‘Just like you did with the Big Show, playa?’ Santino looks less than impressed, ‘The Bigg-a Slow got LUCKY!’ Long says he’ll give Marella the chance… against… Hornswoggle! Marella rubs his hands together, ‘Hornswaggle is easy!’ he laughs and leaves to the ring.

Match 4 – Santino Marella vs. Hornswoggle

La Vittoria é Mia (Victory Is Mine) hits and Santino Marella comes onto the stage saluting. We are told he is from Calabria, Italy and weighs 227lbs. He gets into the ring taunting some more.

He’s Ma Da sounds out and Hornswoggle and Finlay come onto the stage to loud cheers. We are told Hornswoggle is from Belfast, Northern Ireland and weighs 138lbs. Hornswoggle gets into the ring.

Marella laughs at Hornswoggle, ‘Hornswaggle… NO CHANCE!’ and Marella pushes Hornswoggle down. Hornswoggle gets up, takes off his jacket and rolls up his sleeves and aims a kick at the shin of Marella. He climbs the turnbuckle and comes off with a crossbody but Marella catches him… but slips in a aptly placed banana skin, Finlay is at ringside eating the banana. Marella kicks out of the cover looking less than impressed. He is complaining to the referee but then Finlay jumps onto the apron and the referee is distracted, Marella turns around into a Shelleigh shot to the back of the knee, and another and another and Marella falls to his back. Hornswoggle climbs the turnbuckle, Tadpole Splash! And this one is over.

Winner: Hornswoggle via Tadpole Splash at 3:22

    COMMERCIAL

We go backstage with Josh Matthews and he says this time he is joined by Matt Hardy. Hardy says that last Sunday he was defeated by Kofi Kingston who cheated to get the victory. Kingston used a steel chair while hitting that Trouble in Paradise and he is the rightful King of the Ring. Hardy goes to continue to speak but Kung Fu-Naki comes into shot. Matt asks him just what in the hell he is doing and grabs him and flings him into an aptly placed container. Hardy just walks off.

    Video Package

    Main Event
Kofi Kingston, ??? and ??? vs. Legacy

“A New Day” hits and the crowd begin to boo as Randy Orton comes first onto the stage followed by Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger. The trio continue to the ring as they are announced as Legacy. They continue to the ring looking sort of emotionless.

SOS plays for the second time tonight and Kofi Kingston comes onto the stage with a microphone. He does his Boom, Boom, Boom and is announced from Kingston, Jamaica and weighs 218lbs. Kingston then speaks and says that most of the usual suspects people would think he would pick where on duty tonight but that doesn’t matter because he’s picked up two superstars as his partner that are tough… those two being Finlay and Hurricane Helms. Everyone seems to be surprised by the second pick.

He’s Ma Da plays again as Finlay comes onto the stage, he shakes hands with Kingston and is announced from Belfast, Northern Ireland and weighs 233lbs.

It’s Time plays and Hurricane Helms gets a pretty sizable pop. He is announced from Raleigh, North Carolina and weighs 215lbs. Helms shakes hands with Finlay and Kingston and the team make their way to the ring.

Kingston flies at Cody Rhodes with a flying clothesline which takes Rhodes down, Rhodes gets up and this time knees Kingston in the gut but Kingston escapes and tags to Hurricane Helms. Orton is tagged in and Helms takes down Orton, Orton ducks another clothesline attempt and clothesline Helms. He picks up Helms and lands a hard uppercut before tagging to Jack Swagger. Swagger enters the fray and slams Helms before missing a big leg drop, Helms is able to tag to Finlay and Finlay takes down Swagger with a Shoulder Tackle, he goes for another one but Swagger grabs Finlay and slams him down. Swagger whips Finlay into the turnbuckle and lands a superplex.

Finlay is reaching for the tag, tag to Orton and Orton prevents Finlay from getting the tag. He locks in a chinlock which Finlay struggles in for a substantial time. Orton tags out to Rhodes who goes for a Moonsault but misses the target. Orton is wanting a tag again after this mishap… tag to Orton… tag to Kingston and Orton seems to backtrack as Kofi smiles. Kingston takes Orton down and then Swagger, Trouble in Paradise to Rhodes but he took his eye off of the ball… RKO! And just like that it’s over, Helms wasn’t able to get into the ring in time.

    Winners: Legacy at 8:58

Legacy celebrate in the ring as the show closes with Orton holding his WWE Championship high in the air.

    System's Semantics

    Smackdown

    Legacy:
    - Yay! New video package.
    - Orton just proving he’s a great heel not to be messed with.
    - 2 members of Legacy ?
    - Nevermind…HOLY SHIT, AWESOME MOVE dude.
    - *cringes* Not a generic face promo , Kofi looked pretty good.
    - Mainevent should be good player!
    - Long promo to start off the show, sets things up and Legacy is going to rock

    Six-Diva Tag Match:

    - Melina does a blind tag just sounds weird
    - fun little diva match, with a post match beating to top it off.

    Paul Birchill:
    - Burchill sounds absolutely sinister, I love it , Teaming with Regal doesn’t hurt either.

    Burchill Vs Punk:
    - I’m excited for this one!
    - Good match but I’m a bit disappointed about the length but I’m sure they will have a rematch.
    - Beats the shit out of punk, awesome..and Punk’s my third favourite wrestler!
    -

    Big Show Vs Carlito:

    - Show being an impressive monster, I wonder who he will team with? Pretty much guaranteed they will be a kickass team..unless its like Hornswoggle or John Cena or some shit
    - Lucky fucking colons

    Rey Mysterio:

    - Unexpected promo from Rey and it was actually pretty good as don’t normally see Mysterio being all business.
    - Calling out Batista, someone’s got a death wish
    - Heel Batista (See=Evolution) is awesome and you just showed why

    Santino Marella Vs Hornswoggle

    - MOTN Coming..
    - Eating a banana , shouldn’t he beating potatoes?
    - Hornswoggle gets the win, as expected

    Matt Hardy:

    - Hardy having a bitch time!
    - What did Funaki do wrong?

    Mainevent:

    - The Hurricane!..Helms
    - Great match, MOTN..really showcased both teams.
    - RKO! Legacy being an awesome heel stable (in your fic anyway )
    - Legacy get the win which im very happy about.

    Overall:

Very enjoyable Smackdown, a lot of development on upcoming fueds and good matches for a weekly show. Swagger joining Legacy was 7 shades of awesome.

    Wrestling MVP's Smackdown Review

Opening segment was enjoyable, nice little promo by Randy Orton.. not too big on you putting Swagger in Legacy, but I'll give it a chance and see where you go with it. Nice character development though.

Diva's match was what it was, no more, no less. Diva's wrestling to me hasn't been interesting since Mickie/Trish in '06, so I just kinda quickly skimmed this.

Burchill/Punk was good for what it was, and I keep forgetting CM Punk is a face. Good match though, as you seem to be really pushing the Brits (Drew against 'Taker, Paul against Punk).

Show/Carlito was all sorts of awesome, and I like where this is going. I hope his partner isn't Chris Jericho though Nevertheless, good match, and made Big Show look good, which I'm always happy with.

Rey/Batista promo was all shades of awesome, by far my favourite part of the night. 'Tista hitting the spear and officially turning heel was awesome, as Rey and Batista are good friends in real life, stemming of course from Eddie's death while they were both close to him, and all that jazz (by the way, just my suggestion, don't mention Eddie at all in this feud. The whole Eddie storyline was already beaten to death and gave WWE a bad reputation in 2006, and we don't need that again Just my two cents though, it's your fic).

I expected Horny to beat Marella as you are a fan of Horny, and have said so multiple times to me. Personally I can't stand the guy, but oh well. Marella was his awesome jobber self as always, and I think he may very well be one of the best jobbers in history.

Main Event was awesome, and I liked how you mentioned the fact that Cody can do a moonsault That was awesome to watch with you and Champ at NOC
Anyways, strong main event, and I like the return of Hurricane Helms as I am a fan of the guy, and a good cap-off to a great show.

Overall: Another great piece of work from Wrestling MVP, and I look forward to seeing where everything, even the stuff I didn't necessarily like, goes, which is a talent you have. You don't have to force someone to like a decision that you make, but you always hook them in, if you know what I mean. Great, great show though, and one of your best.

    Some News and Notes:

    Wrestling News and Notes
    WrestleCircle.com
    2nd May 2009

This Monday, the first ever televised WWE World Tour kicks off with RAW in Mexico City, Mexico. The event is sold-out as are all of the other WWE live events and PPVs scheduled during the tour. There was original concern over the first dates of the tour due to the ongoing swine flu pandemic but the tour will go ahead as planned.

One of the major talking points coming out of this week was Jack Swagger joining Legacy. We can report this was a late decision probably made around Monday evening during RAW. It was only after Christian defeated Jack Swagger to become ECW Champion in that match that WWE realized they didn't know what to do with Swagger. They then had him move to Legacy as they see him as a main-event player and with Christian as champion he wouldn't have been on ECW.

Tyler Reks earned rave reviews for his first televised match on ECW against Rob Van Dam. Everyone was impressed with the new superstar. Reks introduced a new finisher for the show, a Piledriver from the top rope which shocked many. Reks apparently asked for permission from Rob Van Dam but also Vince McMahon. After much persausion Vince allowed the spot to go ahead but demanded he was shown numerous demonstrations where Reks would be able to protect Van Dam's head. It isn't expected to be his finisher move for every match though as the impact on Reks back isn't ideal everytime he does the move.

Vince McMahon “blew up” during the week after Triple H was “released” from his contract. As we mentioned, a former employee of WWE decided during his last day's to put up the article. It took an hour or so to remove from the site as the staff member had put some sort of password onto the article. Vince was very angry at this and is apparently seeking legal action.

No more word on what brand Edge is going to appear on. We can confirm that Edge has signed a new five-year extension to his WWE deal but right now it seems Edge is taking some time off to heal some nagging injuries.

Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker are two stars about to take time off from the WWE. Shawn, who does a major bible study in San Antonio every Tuesday has opted to work this Monday's show in Mexico before flying back to San Antonio and taking the rest of the tour off. Shawn, who had wanted some time off after his WrestleMania match was persauded to stay on until after Backlash so new challengers could be built on RAW and he agreed. The Undertaker was persauded to postpone his time off and was almost ready to quit after Vince, for presumably the first time outright denied his request. Although we don't expect Undertaker to retire yet after Judgment Day it is expected he will take time off.

Mr. Kennedy has shot right into the Main Event scene following his 'feud' with Stone Cold Steve Austin. WWE had originally planned for Austin to make a big return to the ring and start a feud with Kennedy or at least have Kennedy get his comeuppance but Austin rebuffed their attempts. Austin has been in Brazil filming his new movie The Expendables for some time now. Filming is reported to wrap up next week but Austin wasn't willing to travel outside of America for the shows and the feud was ended on RAW last week and Kennedy was then propelled into the Main Event.

Hulk Hogan has announced his possible retirement from the world of wresltling. On HulkHogan.com he wrote:

Hulkamaniacs, it's time to call it a day and hang up those boots, brother. Over the years I've sustained several injuries and I've had a hip replacement and I can hardly walk with my knees. I enjoyed my time in wrestling and recently with TNA but another knee injury has made me realize my body can't do this wrestling thing anymore. Right now, I am done with wrestling and this isn't me retiring yet but it isn't me saying I'm finished and then coming back very quickly to make a quick buck. I may be back at somepoint but right now I want to be finished with wrestling and relax. If the time comes where I am officially retiring or even making a come back from this extended rest period, I shall inform you, brother.”

That is all from WrestleCircle today.

    RAW Preview:

    WWE Monday Night RAW Preview
    Live from Mexico City, Mexico
    Arena Mexico
    May 4th, 2009

Tomorrow, the WWE invades Mexico City for the first ever televised WWE show. Monday Night RAW storms into the city on the first date of it's huge, rocket-buster two-month World Tour set to span many countries.

    Don't Get Me Rattled

Last week on Monday Night RAW, live from Phoenix, Arizona the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena defended his title successfully against 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. Cena began to celebrate his victory when Mr. Kennedy, who had been antagonizing Stone Cold Steve Austin for weeks and who was apparently in Mexico City promoting the upcoming World Tour, attacked the champion. Kennedy gave Cena a Mic Check and told him to say hello to the new Number One Contender.

John Cena has said in the past that he doesn't get rattled, that he has been through the Hammerstein Ballroom and had 80,000 fans at WrestleMania tell him he sucks and that he can't wrestle. Mr. Kennedy's attack may well get John Cena rattled because in just two weeks he needs to defend his belt against the upcoming loudmouth.

However, this Monday on RAW, in huge Six-Man Action, John Cena teams with Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker to face Chris Jericho, Drew McIntyre and Mr. Kennedy. Which team will come out victorious?

    What is the Meaning?

Also, last week on RAW, The World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry defeated 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan in convincing fashion. Seconds after the win, Shelton Benjamin came to the ring and took out Duggan with the Paydirt. Benjamin then instructed Henry to carry out more punishment which he did.

Many claim that Benjamin and Henry have formed some sort of partnership. Well in Tag Team action, Benjamin and Henry team against Jim Duggan and the man who saved the legendary wrestler, MVP.

    The Big Red Monster

Evan Bourne has been concentrating recently on moving up the ranks on Monday Night RAW putting in impressive performances in a Battle Royal, a match against John Morrison and then earning the Number One Contender's spot for the United States Championship at Judgment Day but for the past two weeks he has been plagued by the Big Red Monster Kane at every turn.

Tomorrow night, Evan Bourne will have the chance to get revenge as he takes on the Fire and Brimstone of Kane. Can the high-flier continue his good run or will Kane take Bourne down again?

    A Mick Kicked Friendship

Kelly Kelly shocked the WWE Universe two weeks ago by laying out Mickie James who had just earned herself a Divas Championship opportunity. This week, Kelly apologized to Mickie profusely saying it was a mistake and it was her stupid jealously that got in the way of what is a good friendship. Before the confrontation, Maryse said she expected more of the same from Kelly in the title match but Kelly seemed confused.

Kelly seemed genuinely sorry to Mickie but received a Mick Kick to the jaw for her worries. Later in the night, Mickie lost to Maryse and marched backstage and Kelly again tried to apologize but Mickie called her a 'jealous bitch' before walking off.

Evil General Manager Vickie Guerrero has placed Mickie James and Kelly Kelly in a match this Monday on RAW. What will occur?

Find out ALL THIS and MUCH MORE as RAW emanates from Mexico City, Mexico for the FIRST EVER televised RAW in Mexico and the BEGINNING of WWE's HUGE WORLD TOUR. YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS IT.
