    ANOTHER CONTROVERY FOR CHRISTIAN
It seems that controversy has followed Christian around recently, ever since Cyber Sunday to be exact. On that night, in the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship, Kofi Kingston was climbing down the cage wall to retain his title when Christian looked to stop him by swinging the door at him from inside the ring, it seemed it may work as the door swung off of Kofi’s back but it only served to allow Kofi to fall to the mat below and retain.

Then, at the Hell in a Cell PPV, Christian used a low blow while the referee was down and got a pinfall over Kofi to ‘win’ the title when another referee came down, only for the original referee to reverse the decision. Christian’s complaining on RAW meant Kofi awarded him another shot but in a match that Christian dominated, he ended up getting disqualified for ignoring the referee’s count and continuing to hammer into Kofi in the corner.

Christian is sure to be irate, just like he was as RAW went off of the air but did he blow his last chance?

    OUT FOR CENA
It took a lot for John Cena to come out last week and apologize to the WWE Universe for his actions recently but it seems that he has been forgiven and for John Cena, he will be happy to concentrate on getting back as the top guy in WWE. That was the plan and was still the plan despite coming up short in the Miz Invitational, however, after that match, MVP attacked John Cena for no good reason.

This week, MVP invites John Cena to the VIP Lounge? What will happen?

    LOUDMOUTH CHALLENGE
Mr. Kennedy has barely been seen or heard from recently but he re-surfaced last week on RAW to mouth off about John Morrison and asked for a match against Morrison to prove how good he is. Morrison accepted and when Morrison’s back was turned, Mr. Kennedy looked set to hit him with a lead pipe only for Steve Austin to show up and make the match official.

Can Kennedy get a big win or will Morrison’s momentum continue?

    WWE Monday Night RAW Preview

    October 12th 2009
    PNC Arena
    Raleigh, North Carolina
    ‘Beer Bash Contract Signing’

The ‘Ladies and Gentleman’ video package plays as we enter the programme, the screen then fades to black and we then see a recap of last week with Christian vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. We see Christian relentlessly hitting Kofi with rights in the corner until the referee eventually disqualifies Christian. The screen fades once more and we see Steve Austin standing in his office, looking at a few papers. There is a knock on the door and Christian then appears on screen to huge boos. Christian says he’s been trying to get a hold of Austin all week long to discuss last week.

Austin says he knows, Austin says he didn’t answer a single one of Christian’s calls, texts, e-mails, telegrams or messages in a bottle because he knew exactly what they would all say, ‘wah, wah, wah, I was screwed’. Austin says he knew that Christian would be in his office as soon as the show started and when he heard that knock on the door, he knew it was Christian. Austin says Christian doesn’t need to complain, he’s heard him complaining since Cyber Sunday. Austin says he gave Christian a chance at Cyber Sunday, he gave him a chance at Hell in a Cell and he gave him a chance last week on RAW and one way or another, Christian screwed himself out of the title.

Christian says that isn’t true. Austin fires back that Cyber Sunday was unlucky, Hell in a Cell, he used an illegal low blow and then last week, he ignored the referee’s count, what did he expect to happen? Christian says what he has done the last two weeks is exactly what Austin would’ve done when he wrestled and that the last two weeks have set precedents, those last two weeks, the referee’s have done things they have never done before and it’s prevented Christian from winning the WWE Championship. Christian says he came here tonight not to whine and complain but to ask for a match at No Mercy, not a Singles Match, he wants a match were there can be no question there is a definitive winner, he wants a no disqualification, no count out match with Kofi and then there can be no complaining when he gets his hands on the WWE Championship.

Austin says he’ll be honest, he respects Christian, he thinks he’s a good kid, he works hard and he’s full of tenacity and he is determined to get the WWE Championship. Austin says he can relate because Christian is right, he would’ve done those things, he would’ve done whatever it took in a WWE ring to get the job done and he often did. Austin says he’ll give Christian the No Disqualification, No Countout Match but there was no need for Christian to come to his office tonight because he was going to give him it anyway, he says the papers in his hand are the official contracts that will be signed tonight by Kofi and Christian to make the match official. Christian smirks and goes to shake Austin’s hand but Austin just stares at him, Christian pats Austin on the shoulder and leaves the office as the scene fades.

TO BE LOVED hits and we go through the RAW introduction package and we see all the stars of the show. The package ends and we go inside the arena for the pyrotechnics display before we hear the familiar voices of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. The camera eventually settles on the two men who open the broadcast.

Jim Ross: “Hello everyone and welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW live tonight from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am Jim Ross alongside Jerry Lawler and we’re barely just on the air King, but what a huge match now set for No Mercy.”

Jerry Lawler: “You’re right JR, Christian and Kofi Kingston do battle once more but this time there won’t be any controversy, there will be a definitive winner and tonight, we have the contract signing for that match!”

    Match 1
Drew McIntyre and Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne

The intro to BROKEN DREAMS plays and then it leads into BREAK DOWN THE WALLS and the arena fills with boos as Drew McIntyre and Chris Jericho come onto the stage, the WWE Tag Team Championships wrapped tightly around their waists. They taunt on their way to the ring before entering it.

BORN TO WIN sounds and former WWE Tag Team Champion, Evan Bourne, makes his way down the ramp to a good reaction. Bourne stops at the bottom of the ramp and waits before BOOYAKA 619 plays and the crowd continue cheering as Rey Mysterio pops up onto the stage. He meets Bourne at the bottom before they enter the ring.

Jim Ross: “It’s almost a rare chance to see Drew McIntyre and Chris Jericho in action, King, they’ve been more content with scouting talent than competing with talent while this Tag Tournament has been going on.”

Jerry Lawler: “They’re up against Evan Bourne, a man looking to bounce back after his defeat to MVP at Hell in a Cell and he teams with another high-flier, Rey Mysterio, who has had a couple of losses in matches recently, he needs a win too.”

    FINISHING MINUTES:

Rey Mysterio is kicking Jericho in the corner before he attempts to whip him across the ring but Jericho reels him in for a clothesline which Rey ducks, Rey jumps onto the top turnbuckle and leaps off with a moonsault on top of Jericho. Mysterio ups the pace as he meets Jericho with a couple of flying clotheslines before rolling under another clothesline attempt and leaping up onto the turnbuckle for another moonsault, but this time Jericho catches Mysterio and drops him hard with a backbreaker. Jericho dusts his hands off before locking in a sleeper. Jericho cranks up the pressure but a ‘619’ chant is soon ringing around the arena and Rey is able to fight out, he elbows out of the predicament before bouncing off of the ropes, Jericho tries to catch him with another backbreaker but Rey swivels and eventually hits a spinning hurricanrana on Jericho.

Jericho looks a little bamboozled after that and tries to get his bearings back but he eats a kick to the leg before Mysterio dives between Jericho’s legs, Mysterio bounces off of the ropes, Jericho turns and bends down looking to give a big back body drop but Rey stops and just kicks Jericho in the face. Mysterio then grabs Jericho for a DDT but Jericho stands up straight, lifting Rey in the process but Rey just spins into a tornado DDT. Mysterio goes for the pin that McIntyre breaks up. Mysterio climbs onto the turnbuckle, looking for his next move but Jericho is quicker this time and falls into the ropes causing Mysterio to crotch himself. Jericho runs and hits an enziguri that causes Mysterio to fall from the turnbuckle. Both men are down but it’s Jericho who pulls himself up first, Jericho begins slapping the back of Rey’s head before Rey gets to his feet and catches Jericho with an elbow, Rey hits a couple of open hand chops before hitting a dropkick that sends Jericho into the ropes. Mysterio then clotheslines himself and Jericho over the ropes.

Mysterio re-enters the ring and looks to bounce off of the ropes but McIntyre kicks the back of Mysterio through the ropes! Mysterio turns and clocks McIntyre with a right. Mysterio then runs at Jericho and goes to dive through the middle rope but as he does so, Jericho moves and Rey crashes face-first into the crowd barrier. Jericho throws Mysterio into the ring and hooks the leg but Mysterio is able to kick out. Jericho tags out to McIntyre who grabs Mysterio looking to take control, he hooks him up for a butterfly suplex but Mysterio fights out, McIntyre runs at Mysterio but gets a dropkick to the knee and he falls in position for the 619! Mysterio attempts it but McIntyre grabs his legs and pulls him through, McIntyre has Mysterio’s legs under each arm and he looks to fall back sending Mysterio hurtling towards the ropes but Mysterio manages to land and balance on the middle rope before coming back with an elbow to McIntyre that takes them both down.

Mysterio tags out to Bourne who comes flying into the ring and takes McIntyre down with a high knee! Bourne punches Jericho down from the apron and Bourne turns his attention back to McIntyre, he begins taking it to the Scotsman and whips him across the ring, Bourne ducks a clothesline attempt and comes back off of the ropes with a crossbody that takes McIntyre down. Bourne hooks the leg but Jericho breaks it up! Mysterio runs back in and takes himself and Jericho over the ropes again! Both men get to their feet and McIntyre can’t deal with the multiple kicks that Bourne is throwing in his direction. Bourne wears McIntyre down to his knees and then hits a spin kick that takes McIntyre down to the mat. Bourne looks around at the crowd and climbs the turnbuckle signalling for the Shooting Star Press. Bourne attempts the move... but McIntyre moves and Bourne crashes into the mat. McIntyre quickly gets up and ruthlessly hooks Bourne up and delivers the Future Shock DDT to get the three.

Winners: Drew McIntyre and Chris Jericho

The two winners pose with their tag titles before hugging in the ring which only elicits more boos from the WWE Universe.

Jim Ross: “Well, incase you had forgotten, these two men are the WWE Tag Team Champions and they’re very accomplished athletes. Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre with a hard-fought win against Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio.”

Jerry Lawler: “And this serves as a reminder JR, that whoever gets through that tournament and wins that tournament, that’s only half the battle... they need to beat these two at Survivor Series.”

    COMMERCIAL

We return to the arena and the huge inflatable ‘Awesome’ letters are at the top of the stage. I CAME TO PLAY sounds and the crowd boo loudly as The Miz emerges through the sign on the stage holding his United States Championship high above his head. Miz walks down the ramp looking as cocky as ever, he mouths off to a few fans before entering the ring and grabbing a microphone.

Jim Ross: “There you see, The Miz, the United States Champion and a man who has been on a mission to prove he is the greatest US Champion of all time.”

Jerry Lawler: “Miz has been coming out here each week JR, challenging a former champion in that bid to prove he is the best and fair play to him because he’s already beaten Jim Duggan, Carlito and John Cena so far and he did it fair and square.”

The Miz looks out at the booing crowd as he re-adjusts the title belt on his shoulder. Miz says that honestly, he wasn’t going to host The Miz’ Open Invitational tonight because they’re in Raleigh, North Carolina. The crowd boo loudly, Miz says as far as he is concerned, he wanted to get in and out of the PNC Arena as quickly as possible and head home to the greatest city on earth, Cleveland! The crowd boo louder still, Miz says that he was going to do that but then he realized that North Carolina has nothing to be proud of because after all, their sports teams suck. Miz asks how the Carolina Bobcats are getting on? This draws more boos from the crowd.

Miz says that he is a man they can believe in and cheer on and take in as their own. Miz says he is better than Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy and Ric Flair combined and he says no, none of them are here tonight because they don’t care about their home city. The crowd boo even louder. MONSTER interrupts Miz and he looks confused, after a few seconds, Rhyno steps onto the stage! The crowd cheer loudly as Rhyno looks at Miz, Rhyno marches down the ramp and enters the ring, he takes a microphone and asks Miz if he is going to shut up? Rhyno says he is here to challenge Miz for the United States Championship. Miz looks at him and asks Rhyno if he’s even held the title. Rhyno fires back that he held the title in 2001 at WWE Unforgiven and he wants it back!

Miz says okay but he doesn’t appreciate being interrupted, Miz says tonight Rhyno is gonna’ be added to his list. Rhyno throws the microphone out of Miz’s hand and tells him to stop talking. Rhyno says tonight, he won’t be added to any list, instead, Miz will be added to the list of people who have felt the... GORE! Rhyno smacks Miz in the mouth and Miz stumbles back as the referee gets between them.

Jim Ross: “Rhyno has returned to WWE, King and it looks like he is getting a shot at the US title right now. He held that title for 29 days, losing it to Kurt Angle on an episode of Monday Night RAW.”

Jerry Lawler: “Well, JR, you only need to have held the title once, it doesn’t matter how long he held the title, this is what Miz let himself in for.”

    FINISHING MINUTES:

Miz has Rhyno down and is kneeing him repeatedly in the back before locking in a chin lock. The crowd soon get behind Rhyno who fights out, he tries a couple of elbows but Miz doesn’t release the hold so Rhyno just delivers a back drop folding Miz up like an accordion. Rhyno gets to his feet and takes Miz down with a couple of clotheslines before running headfirst into Miz’ chest taking the US Champion down in an unorthodox way. Rhyno runs the ropes and just jumps right onto the torso of Miz causing Miz to cough and splutter, Rhyno quickly goes into the cover but Miz is able to kick out. Rhyno fires off a few shots to Miz’ head before picking the former reality star up to his feet. Rhyno hooks his arms around Miz and delivers a stunning belly to belly suplex after which he tries to capitalize with the cover but Miz rolls out of the ring holding his back. Miz grabs his United States Championship and walks around the ring and begins heading up the ramp to loud boos. The referee has began counting as Rhyno slides out of the ring and clubs Miz from behind causing him to drop the title. Rhyno walks Miz back to the ring, slams him face-first off of the apron before throwing him in.

Rhyno climbs onto the apron but Miz uppercuts Rhyno and smashes his face off of the turnbuckle causing Rhyno to fall to the mat. Miz exits the ring and grabs Rhyno, he tries to throw him onto the steps but Rhyno jumps onto the steps, Miz swipes Rhyno’s legs away from him and the former ECW Superstar has a nasty landing on the steps. Miz taunts to more boos as he throws Rhyno into the ring, he covers Rhyno but he is able to get the shoulder up. Miz argues a little with the referee as he pulls Rhyno to his feet by the hair, Miz slams a couple of right hands to Rhyno before whipping him off of the ropes, Rhyno comes back looking for the Gore but Miz, realizing the imminent danger, rolls out of the ring. Rhyno stands over the ropes and motions that he was ‘this close’ to getting Miz. Miz climbs onto the apron and simply slaps Rhyno across the face but this simply enrages the Man Beast and he suplexes Miz over the ropes.

Miz gets to his feet but is the recipient of a couple of shoulder tackles before Rhyno once more uses his head like a battering ram before throwing Miz into the corner. Rhyno sits Miz onto the turnbuckle and climbs up, he hooks him up and delivers a superplex to the mat! The crowd cheer as Rhyno slowly gets to his feet first and continues the momentum by picking Miz up and hitting a running powerslam, another move that drives the wind out of Miz. Rhyno grabs Miz’ legs and locks in the sharpshooter now and the crowd cheer louder as Rhyno really synchs’ it in. Rhyno cranks up the pressure on Miz in the middle of the ring, Miz is biting his knuckles but is slowly making his way to the ropes, he gets a fingertip and then a full grasp of the ropes forcing the referee to break. Rhyno runs his hands through his hair and speaks to the referee for a second. A frustrated Rhyno just kicks Miz hard on the back.

Rhyno seems to have had enough and heads over to the other side of the ring to the turnbuckle, he gets in position and signals for the Gore as the crowd cheer. Miz slowly gets to his feet, he turns around and Rhyno charges but Miz moves and uses Rhyno’s momentum to send him shoulder-first into the turnbuckle post. Rhyno stumbles backwards right into the Skull-Crushing Finale, Miz drags Rhyno to the middle of the ring and hooks the leg to boos as he gets all three and retains his United States Championship.

    Winner: The Miz

Miz knows he has been in the wars as he is handed his US Championship, Miz doesn’t want anything else to do with Rhyno and he exits the ring and heads up the ramp.

Jim Ross: “What a physical, hard-fought contest between these two King, Miz won and he deserves a lot of credit but Rhyno very nearly came away with the gold tonight.”

Jerry Lawler: “I thought he had it with that Sharpshooter, JR, but Miz found a way to win and he continues this incredible roll he is on.”

Back in the ring, Rhyno has pulled himself to his feet. The crowd give him an ovation which Rhyno acknowledges, Rhyno exits the ring and heads up the ramp.

Jim Ross: “Tremendous effort from Rhyno and you have to wonder if we will see Rhyno back in WWE sometime soon.”

    COMMERCIAL

We return from the commercial and the ring is all set up for the VIP Lounge with a hard TV and two sofas. There is the usual bouncer at the bottom of the stage and on top of the stage is the big inflatable tunnel. The crowd know what is coming as I’M COMIN’ hits and they boo loudly as the cocky and arrogant Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP comes onto the stage wearing a suit. MVP heads down the ramp and shakes hands with the bouncer before climbing the steps and entering the ring. He surveys his set before grabbing a microphone.

Jim Ross: “Well, it’s now time for the VIP Lounge, the most exclusive talk show in WWE, apparently and well, it’s an intriguing VIP Lounge tonight as the WWE Universe and John Cena want answers from MVP.”

‘Welcome to the VIP Lounge!’ yells MVP into the microphone but he only receives boos. MVP says that as everyone knows, this is the most elite talk show in WWE and not just anyone gets invited onto it but he has made an exception for his guest tonight, John Cena. The crowd cheer the mention of Cena’s name. MVP says he has been on quite the roll in WWE recently, he was Tag Team Champion, he dumped Evan Bourne and defeated him at Hell in a Cell and then last week he laid out John Cena. MVP says all week long, people have wondered why he targeted John Cena and all week long, MVP has wondered why the WWE Universe cares so much. MVP says it was just a few weeks ago, John Cena walked down this ramp and was booed out of the building for turning his back on the WWE Universe. MVP says he doesn’t want to say anything else until John Cena is out here and he’ll tell him exactly why to his face.

MY TIME IS NOW sounds and the crowd cheer although there is some boos as John Cena comes onto the stage. He salutes at the top of the ramp and pats the bouncer’s shoulder before entering the ring. Cena looks at MVP seriously, Cena grabs a microphone and says he is out here now so maybe now MVP can tell him why he attacked him last week. MVP says he’d be glad to, MVP says he actually admired John Cena when he came back from his suspension a few months ago and laid out Kofi Kingston because he was full of ruthless aggression, he wanted the WWE Championship and he was going to get it, only he never because he was beaten at SummerSlam and he was beaten at Cyber Sunday. MVP says after Cyber Sunday, Cena seemed to almost disappear.

MVP says then he was disgusted a couple of weeks back when John Cena returned to RAW, he came down the ramp, he took the microphone and he... apologized to the WWE Universe. MVP asks what kind of man John Cena is, that he will apologize to these people when he didn’t do a thing wrong. MVP says it makes Cena weak and what’s worse is that these people have embraced John Cena again, the man who blamed them for his suspension, the man who turned his back on them, the man that went against his Hustle, Loyalty and Respect, the three words that are on his t-shirt right now that he disregarded a few weeks ago. MVP says he doesn’t know what kind of man John Cena is anymore because he’ll harp on about Hustle, Loyalty, Respect, turn his back on those three words that he apparently believed in and then when things don’t go his way, he goes back to them.

MVP says these people are the puppets on the string for John Cena, he learned that pretty fast because he was kidding himself when he teamed with Evan Bourne and he showed exactly who he is when he dumped Evan Bourne and beat him at Hell in a Cell. MVP says he showed the world that MVP is the next break-out star in WWE and a future WWE Champion. MVP says he didn’t go against who he was, he has always been Montel Vontavious Porter, he stayed true to who he is. Cena yells at MVP to shut up, Cena says MVP has talked just about enough and he can get off his high horse right now.

Cena says he isn’t sugar-coating anything, he came out a few weeks ago and he attacked Kofi Kingston, he turned his back on the WWE Universe and he never denied that but he came out like a man and apologized because he knew he was wrong and thankfully for him, his apology was accepted. Cena says he was kidding himself when he turned his back on the WWE Universe because he was in a dark place, he had been suspended, he had been stripped of a title, his name was dragged through the mud and he tried to do whatever it took to take the fast track back to the top but he was denied. Cena says he knows who he is, he is John Cena and he will scratch and claw for everything to get back to the top and he will do it with Hustle, Loyalty and Respect. Cena says he walked into this company in 2004 with everyone telling him he sucked and he got to the top, Cena says he can do it again with everyone telling him he sold himself out.

Cena says if MVP has a problem with his actions as of late, that’s fine, he isn’t the first person but if MVP is a man, they will get in this ring and they will settle their differences, he can put up or shut up and MVP can see first-hand exactly who John Cena is. The crowd cheer as Cena throws the microphone down, MVP holds his hands up... and then clubs Cena with the microphone. MVP begins taking it to Cena but Cena tackles him onto the couch and begins hitting rights. Soon a the bouncer and a swarm of referee’s are in the ring separating them but they come apart and begin fighting again before they are separated again. MVP heads up the ramp behind security and both men look extremely angry.

Jim Ross: “That was intense, King! Cena hasn’t taken too kindly to MVP challenging his morals tonight.”

Jerry Lawler: “John Cena is a proud man and we all make mistakes, JR and I think MVP may have bitten off more than he can chew. For me, John Cena is truly back tonight.”

    ---

    Match 3
    Mr. Kennedy vs. John Morrison

TURN UP THE TROUBLE sounds and the crowd boo as Mr. Kennedy comes onto the stage. Kennedy walks down the ramp and enters the ring, signalling for his microphone which lowers from the ceiling above. Kennedy does his usual introduction, also saying he will beat John Morrison tonight before he screams his name into the microphone.

AIN’T NO MAKE BELIEVE plays next and there is a cheer for John Morrison as he does his slow-mo entrance on top of the ramp. Morrison continues down the ramp, clapping some fans hands before awarding his shades to a young fan. Morrison enters the ring and glances at Kennedy.

Jim Ross: “This one really came out of nowhere last week King when Mr. Kennedy and John Morrison happened to bump into one another backstage, Kennedy wanted a chance to prove he was still the fastest-rising star in WWE and requested this match which Morrison gave him.”

Jerry Lawler: “Mr. Kennedy’s stock has fallen since his World title series a few months ago but he’s a great athlete and I think he can achieve big things in WWE. This match JR, might not even be taking place if Steve Austin hadn’t stepped in just as Kennedy was about to hit Morrison with a lead pipe last week.”

    FINISHING MINUTES:

Kennedy pushes Morrison back into the turnbuckle and delivers a couple of elbows but Morrison pushes Kennedy away and lands a couple of forearms, Morrison whips Kennedy into the turnbuckle and sits him on the turnbuckle. Morrison climbs up and hits a wonderful hurricanrana to Kennedy that brings the crowd to their feet. Morrison comes off of the ropes and ducks a Kennedy clothesline, he hooks the arms and rolls Kennedy up. Kennedy manages to kick out just before three, Kennedy gets to his feet quickly and comes at Morrison again but Morrison hits a drop toe hold and Kennedy hits the mat face-first. Morrison continues to be a step quicker and he hits a leg drop on Kennedy, rolling him up but the loudmouth superstar is able to get his shoulder up again. Morrison claps his hands, getting the crowd involved as Kennedy gets to his feet, Morrison attempts a superkick but Kennedy ducks and gets Morrison in position for a Cross Rhodes, but rather than steal Cody Rhodes’ manoeuvre Kennedy just drops Morrison back-first onto his knee before making the cover that Morrison manages to kick out of.

Kennedy picks Morrison up and slams him down before bouncing off of the ropes and dropping a knee on Morrison’s face, Kennedy lifts Morrison up onto his shoulders and looks to drop him face-first onto the turnbuckle pad but Morrison outstretches his hands and holds the ropes, Kennedy tries to shrug Morrison away from the ropes but Morrison holds on tightly, Morrison slips out behind Kennedy and dropkicks Kennedy into the turnbuckles. Morrison then leapfrogs Kennedy onto the top turnbuckle and Kennedy stumbles out. Morrison comes off with a big crossbody onto Kennedy but Kennedy rolls through and hits a backbreaker on him. Kennedy goes for the cover but Morrison is able to get the shoulder up much to Kennedy’s frustration. Kennedy grabs Morrison and looks for a suplex but Morrison slips out again and uses the ropes to hit the Flying Chuck that takes Kennedy down. This time it’s Morrison going for the cover and it’s Kennedy who is able to get the shoulder up. Morrison bounces off of the ropes and just delivers a hard knee to the face of Kennedy as Kennedy sat up.

Morrison lifts Kennedy to his feet but Kennedy catches him in position for the Mic Check, Morrison has to fight out with a few elbows and then he attempts to get Kennedy in for the Moonlight Drive but Kennedy fights out, the two grapple and then exchange rights before Morrison ducks under a right hand and hooks Kennedy up and hits a Standing Moonsault Side Slam. Morrison looks the leg but is definitely disheartened when that big move doesn’t give him the victory. Morrison picks Kennedy up but Kennedy pushes Morrison away and throws him into the turnbuckle before sitting him on it. Kennedy looks to put Morrison into position for the Green Bay Plunge but Morrison hits a few right hands and Kennedy falls onto his back on the mat. Morrison turns and immediately hits the Starship Pain to get all three.

    Winner: John Morrison

Morrison pulls himself up, holding his ribs and the referee raises his hand.

Jim Ross: “Another big win for John Morrison... and another defeat for Mr. Kennedy here on RAW.”

    COMMERCIAL

We cut backstage to see Maryse sitting at the make-up chair, admiring her reflection in the mirror. She adjusts the Women’s Championship on her shoulder and is smiling until AJ Lee appears in the mirror. Maryse stands up and turns around to face AJ, Maryse asks what a ‘skank’ like her wants.

AJ smiles and says she just came by because she’s been watching everything unfold quietly over the past few weeks. AJ says she knows that the Bella Twins are facing Maryse at No Mercy but just like Melina told her on SmackDown, she is ready to face Maryse or the Bellas as soon as that PPV is over. Maryse smirks and tells AJ she has already defeated her more than once and that quite honestly, she doesn’t have the time for little girls. Maryse says the sooner AJ realizes that she doesn’t belong in the divas division, the better because AJ will never be half the woman that Maryse is, the Sexiest of the Sexy and the WWE Women’s Champion.

AJ says last time she checked, she was 22 so she certainly isn’t a little girl. AJ says she doesn’t need to remind Maryse that she burst on the scene and took Maryse to the limit, she took Maryse closer to losing the title than anyone else. ‘Oh, and don’t you dare say I don’t belong in this division again’ AJ angrily snaps at Maryse, AJ says she worked harder to get into this business and where she is now than Maryse will in her entire career, she went homeless, she starved all to be champion and Maryse can mark her words, next time they meet, she will beat her! AJ slaps Maryse across the face and storms off, Maryse looks very annoyed as the scene fades.

Jim Ross: “Well, Maryse certainly ignited the passion in AJ Lee.”

Jerry Lawler: “And whoever walks out of No Mercy champion, they won’t only have Melina or Michelle McCool on their case, they’ll have AJ Lee!”

    Match 4
    Tag Team Tournament Quarter Final
The Dudebusters (Croft and Barreta) vs. Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase)

DUDEBUSTERS sounds and the crowd boo as Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta come onto the stage. The two men, however, are playing to the crowd as they make their way down the ramp and enter the ring.

NEW DAY plays next and there are much louder boos for the team of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. The cocky duo taunt before making their way down the ramp, they enter the ring and taunt some more.

Jim Ross: “It is getting into crunch time in this tag team tournament, King, we’re at the Quarter Final stage, you have the Dudebusters, an exciting young tag team against Legacy, two men out to create their legacy in WWE.”
Jerry Lawler: “This is an odd one JR, you have two teams that are not necessarily favoured by the WWE Universe here tonight, which one will our fans side with?”

    FINISHING MINUTES:

It has became apparent over the course of the contest that the crowd have sided with the Dudebusters. Trent Barreta has Rhodes against the ropes and he whips him across the ring, he hits a dropkick followed by another and the fast-paced style gets the crowd going. Barreta hits a quick snap suplex on Rhodes and then bounces off the ropes looking for another dropkick as Rhodes is on his hands and knees but Rhodes moves and Baretta dropkicks thin air, Cody looks to capitalize by lifting Trent up and giving him an atomic drop followed by a reverse STO. Rhodes tags out to Ted DiBiase who comes into the ring, DiBiase hits an elbow on Barreta before he locks in a sleeper. DiBiase keeps it locked in for at least a minute and a half before the crowd begin to warm to Barreta and he begins fighting out of it, Barreta elbows out and runs forward desperately trying to tag in Caylen Croft but DiBiase yanks on Barreta’s hair and it brings him down to the mat hard. DiBiase tees off with rights on Barreta before mouthing off to Croft.

DiBiase lifts Barreta up and hits a powerslam before looking for a leg drop but this time Barreta moves and DiBiase hits nothing but canvas. Barreta pulls himself away and up by the ropes, DiBiase runs at Barreta trying to stop him but Barreta pulls the ropes down and DiBiase flies over them to the outside. Barreta then tags in Croft, who rather than enter the ring, runs across the apron and dives onto DiBiase. Croft yells as the crowd cheer. Croft throws DiBiase into the ring and he looks to springboard in with a splash but DiBiase raises a foot and Croft gets it under his chin. DiBiase manages to tag out to Rhodes and Rhodes comes in with a purpose, he picks Croft up and just drills him with an Alabama Slam. Rhodes taunts a little and the crowd boo him as he picks up Croft but Croft manages to fire back with rights and a fisherman suplex that Rhodes is just able to kick out of. Both men charge at each other and it ends with a double clothesline. Croft is able to tag in Baretta first and Baretta comes into the ring, Baretta hits a wicked superkick on Rhodes and that seems to be it but DiBiase intervenes!

Croft re-enters the equation and takes DiBiase down with a couple of flying clotheslines before clotheslining DiBiase out of the ring! Croft runs the ropes and dives out on top of DiBiase. Back in the ring, Baretta waits for Rhodes and lines up another superkick which Rhodes ducks this time, Rhodes grabs the hair of Baretta and puts him in position for the Cross Rhodes before connecting with it. Rhodes takes a few seconds to get to the cover but when he does it is game over in this tournament for the Dudebusters.

    Winners: Legacy

Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes raise each other’s arms to boos as they celebrate their victory.

Jim Ross: “Legacy advance to the semi-final of this tournament, they’ve had their split and their differences King but they’re very close now to a tournament win that could define their Legacy in WWE.”

    COMMERCIAL

We go backstage to see Todd Grisham standing. He says at this time he is joined by the WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. Kingston walks into shot to cheers with his WWE Championship on his shoulder. Kofi pats Todd on the back, Todd says that tonight Kofi Kingston has a contract signing with Christian ahead of another WWE title defence at No Mercy. Todd asks Kofi how he feels knowing he has to face Christian again?

Kofi says that Steve Austin actually called him last night to let him know he was making a match for No Mercy. Kofi says he can understand why Christian is upset, because there has been controversy over every title match but the fact is, the controversy was created by Christian, Cyber Sunday was unlucky, Hell in a Cell was cheating and last week he got overzealous. Kofi says he isn’t particularly pleased about facing Christian because he is one of the toughest superstars in WWE and he wants to keep his title but at least with No Disqualification, they can have a definitive winner with no excuses.

Kofi says tonight he plans to walk down the ramp and sign a contract but if Christian decides to speak out of turn, he may feel the boom! Kofi walks off as Todd thanks him for the interview.

    Tag Team Tournament Quarter Final
The New Age Outlaws vs. The Great Khali and Kaval

WARRIORS WAY hits and the crowd cheer as Kaval and The Great Khali come onto the stage taunting. The size difference is huge as they make their way to the ring. They clap some fans hands before entering the ring and waiting on their opponents.

OH, YOU DIDN’T KNOW? Plays and the crowd come to their feet for the legendary tag team, the New Age Outlaws. The duo taunt and play to the crowd before making their way down the ramp.

Jim Ross: “What an exciting match this could be King, the New Age Outlaws against the Big and Small team of Khali and Kaval.”
Jerry Lawler: “Can the fairytale return journey for the Outlaws continue or will this unconventional team of Kaval and Khali continue their winning ways? Only one can reach the semi-final!”

    FINISHING MINUTES:

Billy Gunn is repeatedly kicking at Khali’s knee but the size and reach of the Punjabi giant are making it difficult for him. Khali grabs Gunn and throws him across the ring but he comes right back forcing Khali to chop him down. Khali throws Gunn into the turnbuckle and rips open the DX t-shirt he was wearing and slaps him hard. Gunn falls out of the corner holding his chest but Khali just locks in the Vice Grip and lifts Gunn right off of the mat! Gunn is swinging his legs in the air and Khali eventually releases his grip. The crowd have sided with Billy Gunn and as he comes back with rights, the crowd cheer. Gunn hits a clothesline, followed by another and then a dropkick that actually makes Khali stumble. Gunn hits another dropkick and another and another and this time Khali falls to the mat. Khali seeks the tag and finds it as Kaval races into the ring and ducks under a Billy Gunn clothesline, Kaval bounces off of the ropes and jumps onto Gunn hitting a hurricanrana. Gunn ends up at his own corner and Road Dogg tags himself in.

Road Dogg and Kaval shake hands and lock-up and the bigger Road Dogg pushes Kaval into the ropes, Dogg whips Kaval across the ring and drives his knee into Kaval’s ribs taking him down and leaving him gasping for breath. Dogg looks to lock in a sleeper but Kaval squirms away and sits himself on the turnbuckle, Dogg walks over but is caught as Kaval simply hops onto Road Dogg’s shoulders and hits a hurricanrana from there. Dogg gets to his feet but he is clotheslined over the ropes by Kaval. Kaval then throws himself over the top rope but Dogg catches Kaval, drops him and then throws him into the crowd barrier. Road Dogg throws Kaval into the ring and tags in Billy Gunn, Gunn hits a kick to the side of Kaval’s face before hitting a suplex, he hits another and then hits him again, stalling for a long time before hitting it and going for the cover but Kaval is able to get the shoulder up in time. Gunn hits a few rights on Kaval before taunting to some cheers.

Gunn picks Kaval up looking to continue the offense but Kaval just clocks Gunn with a kick, Kaval follows this up with another kick upside the head that takes Gunn down. Kaval falls down and slowly crawls to his corner where he tags out to Khali, Khali comes into the ring and hits a chop on Gunn and then on the incoming Road Dogg, Khali lifts Road Dogg up and press slams him over the top rope. Khali turns and takes Gunn down with a clothesline and another one before lifting Gunn in the air and press slamming him through the air to the outside onto Road Dogg. Kaval is keen for his partner to capitalize and he throws Billy Gunn back into the ring, Khali hits another hard chop on Gunn that takes him down. Khali tags out to Kaval and Kaval climbs onto the shoulders of Khali, Kaval leaps off for the Warrior’s Way but Road Dogg pulls his partner out of the way, Road Dogg then chop blocks Khali and stomps him out of the ring. Kaval clotheslines Road Dogg out of the ring but he turns into a kick and a Fameasser from Billy Gunn! That is enough to get the three.

    Winners: New Age Outlaws

The two hug in the ring and wait for their opponents before shaking their hands.

Jim Ross: “Great respect from the New Age Outlaws who just had too much experience for Kaval and Khali.”

Jerry Lawler: “This one was over if Road Dogg didn’t move Billy Gunn out of the way and the New Age Outlaws know that, JR.”

Jim Ross: “Two more Quarter Final matches which you can catch on ECW tomorrow night and then we have the two semi-final matches this Tuesday on SmackDown but next here on RAW is that contract signing, don’t go anywhere!”

    COMMERCIAL

We return from the commercial and there is a table set up in the ring. I WON’T DO WHAT YOU TELL me sounds as the glass shatters and the crowd roar as the RAW General Manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin comes onto the stage, he has two contracts under his arm. Austin climbs the steps and enters the ring before taking a microphone. Austin says before he begins, he wants to get this contract signing off of the right start... Austin then signals and a few cans of beer come flying in his direction, Austin cracks open a few and downs them as the crowd cheer. Austin then sets out two at each side of the table before holding one in his hand. Austin says without further ado, it’s time for the contract signing to make the match between Christian and Kofi Kingston at No Mercy official. Austin says let’s get them out here...

JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES plays to boos and Christian comes onto the stage as ever looking for his peeps. Christian heads down the ramp and enters the ring, he looks to shake Austin’s hand but Austin just stares at him. Christian takes a seat at the seat farthest away from the entrance ramp. SOS is unsurprisingly next and the crowd cheer as Kofi Kingston comes onto the stage, he taunts and his pyrotechnics fly up around him as he heads down the ramp. Kofi enters the ring and exchanges a handshake and even a hug with Austin as Christian looks on looking rather annoyed. Kofi takes a seat at the table.

Kofi takes the microphone at the table and says if Austin doesn’t mind, he’d like to sign the contract right now. Kofi flicks through the pages and signs the contract. Christian then does the same and Austin says just like that, the match is official! Kofi shakes Austin’s hand and goes to leave but Christian tells him to wait just a minute. Christian says he can’t believe that after their three meetings and last week, Kofi is just gonna’ walk away. Christian says he wants to tell Kofi something directly to his face, Christian says Kofi got lucky at Cyber Sunday, he got lucky at Hell in a Cell when the referee’s set a precedent and he got lucky last week because Kofi and the WWE Universe knows Christian completely dominated that match. Christian says at No Mercy, he will use chairs, tables, canes, whatever to make sure he walks out as the WWE Champion.

Kofi says that’s good, Kofi says maybe if Christian had played by the book at Hell in a Cell and last week then he would be standing in the ring as WWE Champion and Kofi would be signing a contract to face Christian at No Mercy but he isn’t and at No Mercy, he is going to make sure Christian is in for some Trouble in Paradise and he is going to walk out champion and Christian better bring his A-game because this really is his last chance at the WWE Championship. Christian and Kofi stand up and stare at each other across the table as Kofi raises the title in the air. Austin intervenes and says this is good, they’ve signed the contracts, they’ve said their pieces but they aren’t done yet because this is a Steve Austin contract signing and they’re gonna’ end Monday Night RAW right, they’re gonna down some beer! The crowd cheer, Austin tells Kofi to down his beer.

Kofi wastes no time and downs his beer to cheers. Austin turns to Christian and tells him to down his beer but Christian doesn’t want to. Austin gets in Christian’s face and tells him again, Christian reluctantly picks up the beer and takes a sip before pulling a disgusted face. ‘This isn’t even real beer!’ Christian moans, Austin tells him to down it but Christian throws the beer away. Austin grabs Christian out of his seat and hands him the beer he was holding, Austin tells him to down the beer! Christian says this is pointless and empties the beer all over the canvas. Austin calls for another beer, opens it but instead of handing it to Christian, he pours it over Christian’s head! Christian is drenched... TROUBLE IN PARADISE! The crowd cheer as Kofi has laid out Christian.

Austin calls for another beer and hands it to Kofi as they have their own beer bash working all four turnbuckles and taking turns to pour beer over the unconscious Christian. The off air logo appears as both men continue in the ring.

Jim Ross: “It’s a beer bash, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kofi Kingston style but let’s not lose sight of this contract signing, King, at No Mercy, it’s official, the WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will defend against Christian in a No Disqualification Match!”

Jerry Lawler: “Christian won’t be happy about this JR and he’s got every right not to be, his own General Manager, forcing him to drink one of those awful beers and then pouring it all over him before Kofi hit him with the Trouble and Paradise and to add insult to injury, they are still at it!”

Jim Ross: “I’m sure Christian will have a lot to say next week but for tonight from Raleigh, North Carolina, that is all we have time for. Goodnight folks!”

    ECW Preview...

    ROYAL SPEAR
Last week on ECW, it was not a night to remember for William Regal as he had to get down on his knees and apologize to his country after Barrett defeated Regal at Hell in a Cell. Barrett took the situation even further by demanding Regal apologize personally to him, but by this point Regal had, had enough and smacked Barrett across the jaw but Barrett would soon attack Regal with the flagpole in the ring until Edge ran down and hit a spear on Barrett.

WWE.com understands that Wade Barrett is going to open the show tonight, what will he have to say?

    BIGGEST RISK OF HIS CAREER?
Everyone knows that Jeff Hardy is a bit of a loose cannon and he takes, at times, some unnecessary risks to entertain the WWE Universe. An example of this was at SummerSlam when, with his career on the line, he delivered a Swanton Bomb off of a Ladder to the Celtic Warrior. However, Jeff looks set to take another risk as last week he pleaded with ECW General Manager, Tiffany, to give him a match with Tyler Reks at No Mercy which a reluctant Tiffany eventually granted.

This week, Jeff Hardy returns to action as he faces Ezekiel. Can Hardy keep his mind on the task at hand?

    TAG CHAMPIONS IN ACTION
Drew McIntyre and Chris Jericho may not have seen a lot of in-ring action in recent weeks but their talking has ensured that they will be in action tonight on ECW. The duo returned to the ring and winning ways against Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio on RAW but last week they visited ECW to scout the talent in the Tag Team Tournament and managed to talk themselves in a match with the newly-reunited team of Rob Van Dam and Sabu.

Can Drew and Jericho win again or will the two extreme athletes send a warning to the tag champions?
