I couldn't put AD in front of those guys, because they're proven winners. I also put Westbrook over Harden, because Harden plays no defense. Plus, Westbrook should win MVP this season. I should probably put Westbrook and Harden above AD, but AD is so dominant when he is healthy. I'm just telling everyone that KAT is going to be the best player in the NBA soon.

Westbrook doesn't play defense either. He's fast, gets some steals, but is frequently gambling and out of place on defense.

Yeah, but I would rather someone gamble on defense then not play any.

Eh, I'd rather have the better offensive player that plays slightly worse defense in a battle of two bad defenders.

It's a coin toss, really, between the two. That's why this MVP race is so close. I'd still give MVP to Russ and put him slightly ahead of Harden here.

I probably would have too, though I think in retrospect Kawhi needed more due.

I'm pretty sure if Westbrook and Harden weren't breaking records this season and having their regular kind of seasons, then Kawhi would be walking out with the MVP award. Kawhi is going to have a tough and long career where he'll have time to show where he really will go down in the history books. Same could be said about Russ and Harden, as they all will be playing in the same conference as the Golden State Warriors. It's going to take historic performances to beat that team.

Shoot, I wouldn't be against Draymond being in the top 10-15, either. That dude handles a lot on the court and if he was a better scorer, he'd be in the MVP chatter every season.

I heard today that the Warriors have unanimously declined the traditional trip to the White House.

Would've been awfully awkward given how eloquently Steve Kerr has talked against the president this year.

They haven't decided shit. David West is the closest and he only said he would find it very difficult. They are still two days in to celebrating. Noone would want to be talking about White House Visits.

    Fucken onwards and upwards~!

I would like to see it as well west and lebron can make for very interesting and exciting basketball... Staying in east with cavs to see cavs warriors next 5 years and him jacking up his nba finals losses due to addition of durant and durant is reason warriors never lose again its going to get boring real fast... Lebron in west equals fun basketball...
Honestly I hope he stays with Cleveland. No one bitched about Boston/LA in the 80's and it's pretty much the EXACT same situation. Lets take a look

1980's- Magic Johnson's Lakers dominate the West and have no real competition. Bird's Celtics dominate the East and their ONLY real competition is Julius Irving's 76'ers

Present day. Lebron's Cavs dominate the East and have no real competetion. Durant's Warriors dominate the West and their ONLY real competition is Kawhi Leonard's Spurs.

Curry has said he sticks by the answer he had already given which is he doesn't want to and Iguodala has said even more explicitly he doesn't want to go.

    I don't think they'll be invited so it's a moot point.

That's the best thing I ever heard about this situation. You fucking nailed it.

And look at the Lakers' Western Finals opponents during that period.

    Seattle (1980, 87)
    San Antonio (1982-83)
    Phoenix (1984, 89)
    Denver (1985)
Houston (1986, the only one they lost)
    Dallas (1988)

    *Didn't make it in 1981 (Houston/Kansas City)*

Six opponents for the Lakers during the Showtime run of the 80s, and none of them were even close to their level. And the only team, other than LA, to make the finals in that period was Houston. They beat LA one time (and once in the first round of the '81 playoffs), and Dallas came close to doing that as well. As that series went the full seven games. Everyone else were just honored to be the final Western stepping stone to Showtime.

...that was then... This is now and for cavs fans I hope he doesn't do that to them again but if he does and leaves to either team in LA it will get exciting and interesting real fast... Back then was actually fun watching... Another 5 losses to warriors in finals and having lebron cry all the time is getting old... I guess it's cool because whether he stays or makes it much harder for himself... He still will be stuck at 3 rings and likely 10 losses...
