I'm starting to find it more ridiculous that MLB is only suspending Red Sox players over this bullshit they are pulling with Machado. What Machado did was worthy of a suspension. What the Sox are doing is worse. Someone in the Red Sox organization is either telling them to keep throwing at Machado, or they're failing to stop them from doing it, which is just as bad at this point since they're never going to stop on their own. Their management is embarrassing themselves with this nonsense. They're talking about suspending Chris Sale now as if that's going to accomplish anything. Wow, maybe he'll miss one start. What a big fucking deal.

Machado made a bullshit slide and shouldn't have gotten away with it because it's stupid and dangerous, but to react to this degree and act like it was malicious is pathetic, and he doesn't deserve to get thrown at in every game for the rest of his life.

Gausman got ejected for a whopping below 80 breaking pitch that hit Boegarts Geez these umps have such poor judgment. I think if Gausman wanted to make a point, he would have nailed it with a 90+ fastball to the back.

Aaron Judge wants in on the HR derby! 13 HRs this year and he's hit some bombs.

So far, this season is beating out 2012 for lucky breaks going the O's way. I never thought this craziness would come back.

Hawk Harrelson was complaining hard about it during the White Sox series.

Midway through April, Cardinals fans were complaining about how bad there team was and how it would be a rough seas (as though there wasn't 150 games left).

Now, the Cardinals sit in first in the division.

This is why Cardinals fans are annoying.

No one flips a bat quite like Jose Bautista. If Joey flips his bat, you can guarantee benches are clearing.

Bautista doing Bautista things. I love when he gets fired up and pisses off the other team.

Kevin Pillar suspended 2 games for a homophobic slur. We all know what he said, and he seems to really regret it. Is what it is.

This series came out of nowhere. Two shit teams just going at one another for like no reason. Been a pretty entertaining few days.

The O's will finish last in the AL if the Blue Jays get healthy.

I thought Aaron Judge may have a shot of the HR derby this year but honestly....is it outlandish to think he should start RF for the AL in the all star game with the numbers he is posting?

You can give Judge the 2 month MVP, absolutely...problem is the other 5 months that are left in the season. Long, long season.

Nah Trout has MVP on lockdown at this rate....but Judge can totally take AL ROY!

Hunter Strickland is such a douchebag. Harper was in his head for Harper's domination a couple of postseasons ago to throw at Harper's hip. Good to see Bryce go after that punk though that was a really, really bad helmet toss.

I wouldn't have a problem with, but sadly, baseball seems to old fashioned and archaic to even allow a rookie to start the All Star Game, even when he does fit the bill for it.

Fans vote the starters in the All Star game, blame them...plus, it's pretty damn rare. 23 times...ever.

Aaron Judge is THIRD in votes for the All Star Game, behind only Trout and Harper. I think we're going to get our rookie starting the ASG. He doesn't know yet if he wants to do the Derby, but we'll see. I hope this dude can be the next Jeter for the new generation of Yankee fans. He's definitely got great stuff.

I wasn't aware he was that high in the voting. If he gets it, then good for him. Sometimes though, the old fashioned nature if baseball bleeds over into fans, so I could see him losing out to Harper or Trout.

There are 3 OF positions, he should get one. Trout just went on the DL. He would lose out to Trout, because Trout was having the best start to a season in his career, so yeah. Harper is in the NL, he's out of the equation. Betts is the other guy in the top 3. Judge should get voted starter and he should totally do the HR derby...why not...go all out. The derby does ruin your swing for a bit, so watch out for that.

That would be the only reason not to do the derby, if you don't want to mess up your swing for anytime. Has anyone figured out why it messes up a batter?

They're swinging for the fences every time, which isn't a normal swing for everyone. When guys hit home runs, it's because they recognize a mistake thrown by the pitcher...a fastball right down the pipe, a hanging curve or slider, something without movement. That's why throwing hard is great, but without movement, it's junk. Now, recognizing a mistake is only half the deal, you still have to hit it and hit it well. That's why it's the hardest thing to do in sports...hit a round ball, with a round bat...squarely. Also, derby pitches are thrown around 60-75 mph. Most really good hitters go in with a plan during batting practice...hitting opposite field, hitting to the gap, etc.

Even when slumping, the Cubs still find ways to beat the Cardinals. I guess they just bring it during a rivalry.

Good for Edinson Volquez, no hits the Diamondbacks...this could turn his season around.

Really, the whole NL Central is down early on this year. Only 4 games separates first and last, and Milwaukee isn't that great right now either.

Well this is basically glorified batting practice for Judge and Judge has hit some absolute aweinspiring bombs on numerous batting practice outings so I think he'd put on a show from a distance standpoint and a exit velocity standpoint though both don't matter in a derby I suppose.

Why not...let him go for it. Still, the most impressive HR derby was McGwire at Fenway and he didn't even win. It's all for fun.
