    Default Roommate from Hell

Earlier, my college roommate from Freshmen year decided to send me a friend request on Facebook. I honestly haven't thought about him for a few years. He was so weird at the time. My roommate meowed, even spoke with a fake accent. The best part was when he would randomly try to get on my laptop when I was gone. Well, the best besides him making up lies about me and telling the two friends he had. He actually ended up breaking his tailbone, and had to drop out for the second semester.

One time I was roommates with @Jay Lethal and he kept beating me at beer pong. It was a nightmare.

I've been fortunate enough to not have any bad roommate stories. I have always lived in places that allowed me to choose my roommate. College would pair people up that requested each other on their application forms for residence (a few of my high school friends went to the same college as me so we all paired up) and when I moved to Saskatoon I lived alone after I broke up with my girlfriend, then moved in with a couple friends I made here and lived with them until I met my wife and started living with her.

Some of the stories I've heard though...yikes. I was an RA for a couple years in college and had to mediate some roommate conflicts. The shit people did that they didn't think was out of the ordinary/wrong/illegal/disgusting/etc....

Damn right, 60 minutes of hell bitch!

Let's see....I had one guy in college (not @RT) but he puked in his room and left it there for like 3 days, which was fucking disgusting. Recently I had a single mom who lied about having a child, then had her mom move in w/o my permission. Yeah that didn't go well.

My first two years of college, here in Huntsville, I rented a house with a high school friend (C), and one of his friends (D), who I had not previously met. Terrible idea.

D stunk to high heaven. Messiest person I've ever know. His room looked like an episode of hoarders, half eaten bowls of Ramen and half cans of Mountain Dew everywhere. Took a shower, LITERALLY, maybe once a week. It was bad enough that when my friends from school would come over, they would always ask me why the D stunk so much. To add to the list, D went out and bought a snake, after me telling him numerous times that it was against our lease. C and I decided to move to a new place with our girlfriends, once our lease was up, and D threw a huge fit and was throwing furniture around. It was a nightmare all the way around.

My first college roommate liked anime pornography and tried to download it on my computer and burn discs of it when I was gone. He also constantly got small pets including a flea infested little rodent that gave me flea bites.

But on the plus side he found a girlfriend a month in and I rarely saw him.

I moved into this cool warehouse space a few years ago when I broke up with my girlfriend. One of my oldest friends invited me to stay there and it was pretty awesome. There were 4 people total including me, and the 3 others were in a band so they would have band practice and stuff and my friend was building this makeshift studio. I was working from home so it was a pretty easy situation of just letting me know when he/they wanted to do music outside of my work hours and it always seemed fine.

We got into one little tiff when he wanted to record a band during the day and I couldn't let him because the studio was right outside of my bedroom and it was insanely loud and so he rescheduled it for later in the day but it was still a weird vibe, this was about a year and a half after moving in. After that he started to not talk to me and stopped doing house chores and it was really awkward and the other roomies were kind of pacifists so there was this weird tension between us.

So finally we schedule a house meeting and we decide to do chores and the meeting seems like it is ending so I'm like "Ok, well, that seemed easy, does anyone have any other issues?" so my friend kind of brings up very off-handedly how he wants to turn our apartment into a recording studio so I have to be ok with him recording whenever he has to record and I was just like "uhhh, that's not really how shared apartments work?". Like I knew it was a little inconvenient that I work from home but it is on a computer in my bedroom, not something that makes the whole apartment unlivable. And again my other roommates were just kind of like "yeah, I guess you can do that" and I was like "do you guys know what that means? this is crazy" but they are also musicians and all in a band so I was outnumbered. Anyways, I moved to Chicago after that and I love it here but it really sucks to lose a good friend over some dumb crap like that!

Again, I don't like people so I went from living on my own to living with my wife.
I'm not an easy person to live with so I think I would have a low tolerance and also be equally annoying. I'm kind of clumsy and more messy than I mean to be.

Lived with 4 of my friends in a townhouse for school. It was ok except the guy I shared a room with was a slob. My half would be clean and then the other half looked like he had been robbed. He had the side near the door so I always had to walk through his mess.
One of the guys decided mid contract that he wanted to leave and move in with his new girlfriend. Just up and bounced leaving us to carry his part of the bills without really any notice.
We ended up moving and it was down to just 3 of us in an apartment(myself and a buddy/his girlfriend). We were fine until another friend needed a place to stay cause she was getting kicked out of her house. She ended up in my room on a futon and she was a mess. Now I had zero intrest in this girl but was trying to be a nice guy. This girl tried taking over the place with her crap and was not a clean roomate. My girlfriend hated coming over because of this slob. We warned her repeatedly about how she was acting but she just didn't grasp it. A few time I'd get home from work and she'd be in my room with some guy. I told her not to pull that crap since she was staying in my room in our apartment for basically free. I got to where I would just pick the lock and go in anyway so I could get changed and kick them out. She lasted about 3 months until I threw all her shit on the balcony and told her that was her new room. She didn't like her new room. She left.

After that I never let another person live with me until my girlfriend who later became my wife. Any girl I dated who even brought it up got shot down immediately. My wife though, I was ready to move in with a month after we started dating. Sometimes you just get that feeling that someone is different.
