This is a fascinating matchup for me , only because it's two of the most snakebitten franchise's in NFL history. From The Drive to Gary Anderson in 98 and The Fumble to Blair Walsh - I honestly think that the fourth quarter might be a battle of these two teams seeing how could break their fans hearts the most.

On paper it looks like the Vikings have this , they are just so talented on defense and I think a little better in many areas.

I'm going the other way on this one with the Browns. Minnesota's defense has traditionally been soft against the run and this one is no exception. Brown and Motley will get their yards which will allow Otto Graham and the Browns to control the clock, keep Minnesota's highly potent offense off the field, and keep the 3rd downs with in 6 yards or less. Types of downs which Warfield and Slaughter both excelled at. Plus while Carter and Moss are going to get theirs, Frank Minniefield and Hanford Dixon will slow them down better than most.

I agree that the best way to attack this defense would be in a short passing game , because their corners can be had , but anything longer than a five step drop and Graham would be getting murdered every single drop back.

I still think Minnesota is the more rounded team , and I don't think there is any slowing Moss down in his prime unless you are an absoluletly elite shutdown corner with great speed , Deion would be a choice for sure.

I think the Browns can pull off a win in this match up. I dont see them stopping Jim Brown and Marion Motley.

Looking at the All Time roster of the Browns is a big reminder that the abomination from 1998 onward is no relation to the team that moved to Baltimore.

Joe Thomas and Josh Cribbs are the only circa '99 Browns players on this team.

Procisely. Those two were there best after coming back. The smart front office went to Baltimore and it shows, since the Ravens are usually good.
