If all of mankind minus one were of of one opinion, and only one person of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.

Well, just like Father Time, the #1 seeds in the tournament are still gonna be undefeated after Round 1.

K-State scores 61 tonight after scoring 95 points on Wake on Tuesday.
Just confirms what I thought on Tuesday, Danny needs to really work on the defense during the off-season.
Can't believe I picked Marquette. I made my bracket after I watched K-State, a team with a suspect offense, drop 95 points on Wake Forest. Wake Forest and Marquette are basically twin brothers, their teams are so identical. Electric offenses, terrible defenses.
You rarely get away with having a poor defense during the tournament.
This has been a pretty boring first round, the only top 5 seed to lose was Minnosota and everybody picked that upset anyway.
VILLANOVA IS OUT!!!
The overall #1 seed in the tournament, fails to get out of the first weekend.
Still My Champ
Well there goes my bracket
There goes everyone's bracket.
Including my fucking bracket!
I assumed you guys picked them to repeat.
Still My Champ
The thing about results like this is that Villanova was considered a safe pick, so most people had them going far. You probably aren't as fucked as you think you are, unless you had them winning the entire thing.

Wisconsin will play the winner of UVa/Florida.
Well my cousin goes to Wisconsin so I can be happy for her atleast.
Oh, whack. Wisconsin should get to the Elite 8 with ease. Good for them.
Florida State just shat the bed against Xavier. Are you sure Xavier is a #11 seed?
Still My Champ
That being said, they go as far as Trevor Bluitt allows them too. He hasn't taken the next step in his Soph. year as far as being a go to player. Vanishes in games and has been held nearly scoreless for 1st halfs quite often this year.

So the Madness in March hasn't really been "maddening" except for Villanova being knocked out in the second round. I feel like the first two rounds were highly overshadowed by referee decisions and that's bad for the sport. We've seen a maybe-not-so flagrant foul called in a late and tight game. Today we had ourselves a goaltending that wasn't called. Great showing by Northwestern, though. I was really pulling for them to Morrison Zaga. It was looking like such a great story and then ENTER ZEBRA. They're choking on their whistles.
Anyways, on to the Sweet 16 match ups we have in store for us.
Wisconsin hot off the biggest upset of the weekend to face a school just chomping at the possibility of another successful run in March, the Florida Gators. They just smothered Virginia. Not many saw this match up coming, but people also felt that Wisconsin was way too strong of an 8 seed. I think the Gators run comes to an end in this match up and it won't be close. I feel like Wisconsins win over Villanova did more for that group then Floridas crushing of Virginia. We'll soon start hearing the name Frank Kaminsky, again. Wisconsin wins 78-53.
Gonzaga comes into this game off of a close and controversial win. The most important question of their whole season is this; are they MENTALLY strong enough to do this? Are they that good? I always judge by past accomplishments and I fear for the future of Gonzaga. I fear for their future, because if they thought Northwestern trying to fit into a glass slipper was tough, imagine what it's going to be like having to go up against the baddest team in March right now, West Virginia. West Virginia may be the biggest wildcard left and I think they're Final 4 potential. I think it's going to be a great game, but at the end I don't think Gonzaga is mentally strong enough for this. West Virginia is serious. I got WVU winning 78-73.
Xavier is going to dance at the Sweet 16 and this is going to be such a great and underrated game. They will be squaring off against a red hot Arizona team. This match is going to be the Steamboat/Savage game of the Sweet 16 round. I think it goes to OT and I think it goes down to the final shot to win it. I'm bouncing back and forth for who I think is going to win, but I'm going to go with what I had already pushed going further. Arizona. I got them winning in OT 89-87.
When I was at the deli this morning getting my morning heroes, I started talking with this black dude about March Madness weekend. I told him I got Villanova winning the whole thing against UCLA and he told me he had Duke winning the whole thing. He said "that coach is the best coach in college sports and that Grayson kid is funny." I said "yeah right. I hope we get some upsets, because it's been boring lately. He said "yeah, my Cinderella team is Iona." I said "who?" He said "Iona." So I thought to myself, second guessed if Iona was in it. He started rambling about this great win they had in round 1. I'm thinking no fucking way. I start to analyze him and notice him lift his arm up towards his mouth. In his hand was a brown bag and just peaking out was a fucking Budweiser 40 can. I went "what the fuck?" This whole time I think I'm having a sports convo with a regular dude at 11am in the morning at the bagel store. Instead, I was talking to a fucking drunk, drinking at 11am.
BTW, I do think that Xavier is a better team than Seton Hall, Providence and Marquette. Seton Hall, Providence and Marquette just had better resumes than Xavier.
Also, you don't really need to remind me that Chris Mack is a good coach. Take a closer look where he's spent some of his assistant coaching career at.

That NCAA Championship for Villanova is looking a little strange, as its now sandwiched in between a ton of Round of 32 exits.
Shit happens in March.
I hope Michigan continues their run today. They got a huge game to start the day against Louisville. I'll also be pulling for UNC and UCLA to win their match ups. Hopefully today's games are good.
