    Default Daddy's Boy Turned Psycho

He benefited from nepotism courtesy of his father, Ric Flair, but he suddenly turned into a psycho after a brutal attack on his father. Here's the story..

David was obviously way overpushed way too soon, but given his age (he was still just 19 years old when he had his debut in WCW) and inexperience, I think David did OK.

Surprised WWE didn't have more patience with developing him given his pedigree and how young he was in the business. Seems like he lasted barely 18 months in OVW developmental.

The incident legitimately upset Ric due to how many times Hogan whipped his son.
Is this true? What a dick Hogan is if he used David to get at Ric!

I believe it was agreed for two or three whips. However, Hogan went way overboard with it.

This storyline was one of the reasons why I stopped watching WCW. It was pretty terrible imo. Even when I was really into WCW there were always guys on their TV shows that would have me reaching for the remote to change the channel, it got to the point through 1999-2000 where those guys comprised like 90% of their roster. David Flair was definitely one of those guys for me.

There was a brief period that I liked the David Flair/Crowbar/Daffney crew. It was surprising to be even remotely entertained by David Flair, so this may have been a sliding scale, but I found myself enjoying those lunatics for a month, or two.
