The Oilers are another team with a tough draw right out of the gate as there are aspects of their team I really love , including their offensive line and running game. I'm pretty sure I know which way I am leaning here as well but I'm going to refrain from voting at this very moment.

Also here's the deal to perhaps promote some more discussion , everyone who also comments in the thread and gives some football related reason WHY they made their vote - their vote counts as double. Also for anyone who has contributed and does contribute to voting/discussion can get some shiny new vBucks or something if you're interested.

I voted for the Raiders because I think they hold pretty big edges at both wide receiver and the secondary. I don't see Mason or Givens getting much separation against Woodson and Hayes, and they will get absolutely pummeled over the middle by Tatum and Atkinson.

Plus Shell pretty much owned Bethea throughout their careers. So I don't see the Olier pass rush generating much heat.

Campbell will have a field day running up the middle behind Matthews and Munchak, but I don't think it's going to be enough.

Yeah, to go along with LT...Raiders just seem one head above at nearly every position. I see Raiders taking this one by at least 10 points, most likely more.

I will say that Houston's line is god damn impressive , especially up the middle and I think Campbell could have some success there , and Houston would need him to in order to even keep them in this game against an Oakland team who is superior at damn near every position. I think it would work for a while but eventually the overall game of the Oakland Raiders would break the Oilers and I don't know that Warren Mood has the exact right weapons to keep them in there passing the ball against a tough cornerback duo of the Raiders.

    Final Score
    Raiders - 35
    Oilers - 17

    Oakland Player of the Game
    Ken Stabler - 312 Passing Yards , 3 TD's

    Houston Player of the Game
    Earl Campbell - 110 Rushing Yards , 1 TD
