    Default PW's Favourite Netflix Originals

@Raven* and @The Main Event started this in the TV Discussion Thread and I thought it was a good idea for a new thread. Thanks for the inspiration, fellas.

I thought about doing a countdown but didn't see that turning out so good. Instead, we'll just get right to it. I'll pose a few questions and you fill in the rest.

-What is your favourite Netflix Original Series?
-How would you rank your top 5/10/20/etc Netflix series in order?
-Which Netflix series are you looking forward to watching?

Sell us on your favourites, tell us why our favourites are terrible, and so on. Maybe if we get enough lists of shows listed in order we can average them out the good ol' PW countdown way and see what ended up as the overall favourite.

Wikipedia list of Netflix Original programming: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ted_by_Netflix

I'll chime in with mine once I've compiled a list. Oh, and we're totally allowing shows like Black Mirror that started out elsewhere and got picked up by Netflix because that show might be my #1...or is it Stranger Things? House of Cards? Hmm....

I only got Netflix a couple weeks ago (I'm late to most new tech things), and I'm not one of those binge people. So far, all I've seen in Stranger Things and the first several episodes of Daredevil. Both are quite good although I thought Stranger Things got a little more hype than it deserved.

As far as Netflix original programming goes, it's only really the Marvel shows for me.

I'm pretty stoked for Iron Fist (Marvel show), which is coming to Netflix next month, should be pretty awesome, at least if the other Marvel shows are any indication

If I'm only counting the one awful Arrested Development season as Netflix and ignoring the rest.

    1 - Stranger Things
    2 - Making a Murderer
    3 - Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
4 - Orange is the New Black

    Big Gap

    5 - House of Cards

and those are all the Netflix originals tv shows I've seen (most) of. At least for adults, they have some cute kids shows like Word Party and Beat Bugs.

Going to make a cheat on my list:

1 - Netflix Marvel Shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage)
    2 - Stranger Things
3 - Orange is the New Black
4 - Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (bet NBC regrets dropping this one at it's pilot)
    5 - Bojack Horseman

Tempted to rearrange 2 through 5.

Honestly; if it has Netflix original in the title, I WILL watch it. I actually only got Netflix for Arrested Development's fourth season (which actually is significantly better on rewatch) and I do not regret it one bit. I honestly wish I could find room to put Master of None, Lemony Sticket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (just finished this one and holy crap was it good), House of Cards, Grace and Frankie (a show that on paper I would probably never watch), The Crown, Sense8, Black Mirror, Bloodlines and Narcos on this (and I actually still have more that I'd add) and I heavily suspect I'll be adding Santa Clarita Diet as well (which I'm only 2 episodes in so far). I have only really come across one dud: Flaked and I might come back to that given that a few shows (like Sense8, Bloodlines and Bojack Horseman) took about 3/4 episodes before they had me hooked.

Also Marco Polo has a fantastic season 2. Skip Season 1. Season 1 wasn't all that good.

Also, because I haven't seen it mentioned, I'm surprised no one was really high on The OA. I thought it was pretty damn good.

I haven't watched Stranger Things (although like Game of Thrones figure it's not really my thing regardless of how many people love it) and only watched one ep of Black Mirror.

Neither of those are my things either but I really like Stranger Things and on occasion enjoy GoT. Watching one episode of GoT will tell you if you'll ever like it, because it's pretty good out of the gate.

Saul isn't a Netflix show, season three starts on AMC in April.

Thought that might be the case. I was convinced it was a Netflix show but smelt a rat when I didn't see anybody post it.

And I only corrected you so if there's any faster way for you to see season three than wait for the Netflix to catch up.

I can see the confusion though since it's only available on Netflix in the UK.

Over here it's a part of Stan, a rival streaming service that seems more prominent than Netflix, at least based on advertisement.

My favourite would be Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I never got around to watching 30 Rock, but I really enjoy Tina Fey's brand of comedy and it's just such a feel good show.

Otherwise the only other show I watched was Stranger Things which was a good throwback show, certainly one of my favourites from 2016.

I really need to get on House of Cards, Narcos, Daredevil, Master of None, Orange is the New Black, Bojack Horsemen and F is for Family.

I think there's about four times more Netflix subscribers to Stan in Australia - you just see so much advertisement for the latter because it's owned by Nine and Fairfax.

    4. Chef's Table (Don't judge me)

Season 1 of House of Cards was one of the best things I ever watched but have despised everything I have seen since.
Narcos is on my list to watch... Some of the comedies are very good, Grace and Frankie has brilliant writing.
Most of the time I have binge watched everything I want to see and spend my time scrolling through Netflix going "Naaah"

Hey man, Chef's Table is pretty good. Wouldn't make a top ten list for me but it's pretty interesting and good to casually watch. Season 3 premieres on Friday!

Speaking of food shows, I wish Anthony Bourdain's better shows were on Netflix. I download Parts Unknown when I remember to and watch it, but if that or No Reservations were on Netflix I'd watch them all the time.

I will post this link in the original post too since I meant to and forgot: Wiki list of Netflix Original programming

Not really sure how to order my top ten, honestly. I don't even have a clear cut #1 favourite of all the shows I've taken in over the last few years. All their original programming is good in its own way, for the most part. I'm going to tinker with a list and post it later.

I'm looking at the list of stand-up specials that were released by Netflix and there are some real good sets on there. Mike Birbiglia's "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" is one I've watched several times, and I probably enjoy it more than a lot of shows I've watched on Netflix.

Patton Oswalt's "Talking for Clapping," Bo Burnham's "Make Happy," Jim Jeffries' "Freedumb," Nick Offerman's special, Bill Burr has like 3. And those are just the ones I've watched more than once. Trevor Noah and Mike Birbiglia both have stand-up specials coming out this month too. Man.

I've watched a half-dozen or so on there, none that I remember better than Anthony Jeselnik's Thoughts and Prayers.

I came in here thinking hell yeah I can make a list , and then I realized I don't watch enough Netlix Originals to even qualify. I always want too but never get around to it.

Daredevil and Stranger Things are two of my favorite television shows around though , so they would make my top ten of any list. I need to watch a few I've heard about.

I've watched every comedy special though , I don't know what'd I'd do without Netflix stand up shows.

Just curious, what are your favorite Netflix stand up specials? Tom Segura's ones are my favorite along with Bill Burrs.
