    Thumbs up Oscar Winner VBookie

Well, I was waiting until Entertainment Weekly put out their odds, but they don't seem to be doing that this year. Odds from Vegasinsider.com

I don't agree with all the odds. I think Fences should be right behind La La Land for best picture. I'd also put Denzel and Gosling over Casey Affleck, but that's more about the allegations against him since I haven't seen Manchester yet.

I am rooting for Gosling but expecting Denzel to win.
on the women side, I'm clueless on who will win. I'm hoping for Negga

Put a pile of money on the acting favorites and a small bet on Moonlight pulling an upset that I don't expect.

After watching Lion tonight, that is now my personal pick for Best Picture. I know it doesn't have the buzz of some of the others, but I enjoyed it the most so I put 500 on it (still haven't seen Hidden Figures or Manchester).

Usually I just pick the Golden Globes winners but this year I'm not so sure. Is La La Land the favourite or is Moonlight? I would think Moonlight would be the favourite but the buzz doesn't seem to agree with me.

The Oscars love war movies too so is Hacksaw Ridge a dark horse? Or is that Manchester by the Sea? Casey Affleck feels like a lock this year, so does that give it an extra bump?

    Interesting stuff for sure.

Anyway, I'm going to try and make an Oscar Pool using Google Docs again this year. Unfortunately I didn't save the one I made last year so I'll have to start from scratch. I might not include every single category, but rather just the ones on this page (which I think are the only ones that get handed out on the actual broadcast): http://oscar.go.com/nominees
