    Default Six Flags Alone

How odd would you find it for a grown person to go to Six Flags on their own?

Not odd at all since I go to many places alone. I see movies alone regularly. Its fun when you don't feel obligated to entertain or talk to someone.

@Mistress beat me to it....I was gonna bring up movies because I will see a movie on my own at times. Same with going to restaurants alone, etc So that being stated, it'll only be as weird/awkward as you make it. Hence goto Six Flags alone, have fun and be in the moment.

Sometimes it's nice to have somebody to talk to when queuing up. Sometimes it really isn't. Either way I don't think it's a big deal. Chances are nobody at the park would pay it any mind or even notice that you were on your own.

I don't know if they have it at six flags, but lots of theme parks have single rider lines. So if you're on your own you can get past the big queues by filling up the gaps which is a great thing.

The question that @Theend is asking, is more along of the lines of "Can a single man go somewhere alone where there are children present?". The answer is of course yes. But that doesn't mean that a ton of people won't question the motives or be over-protective.

I doubt anyone would notice unless he makes a point to be noticeable. Don't stand around staring obsessively at anyone, especially not a kid and he'll be fine. If he keeps moving along and having fun,no one will give him a second thought.

I go by myself all the time. I have my season pass and I'm always make trips on various days to hit up the coasters and then go back home. Nothing wrong with going to theme parks alone, plenty of people do it.

It's insane people would rather go without than do something alone because of what others may think, although you are probably invisible to them anyway.

Pretty much, fell in the vein of thought of "if you have to ask you already know the answer" but at the same time I kinda felt the other way. So, I put it to the masses to see how instant creeper it was.

So, like Tuesday you are driving back from work, pass the park on the highway, pop in, hit a roller coaster and go home for dinner?

Theme Parks here have just as many adults as kids. I assume it must be different in the US.

When I lived closer to the area, yes. I would decide to pass through the park and hit up a few rides before going home. Now, it is more that I plan for the day and go and spend the day there before coming back.

This is extremely weird to me. I don't know how someone can go to a theme park alone. Could you? Sure. Is it weird being a grown man going to a theme park alone? Hell yeah. There's no question about it. It's also weird for a grown man to say "Awww how cute" to someone's kid. At least I feel that way. Going to a theme park alone is on some Law & Order SVU shit.

As for going to events alone, I always questioned if it was weird to go to a WWE event alone and I always wanted to but never did. I just felt like I would be the weird guy sitting alone, going crazy and marking out.

Some things are okay. Theme parks solo is just on some creepy level.

I wouldn't find it weird, but it's not something I would do myself. I see a theme park as a social experience, something to enjoy with friends or family. In contrast to the cinema or a music show where you can't really socialise because there's a noisy thing you have to pay attention to. I've queued up to rides alone many times. It's fine. Sometimes I strike up a conversation with some other people. Most times I don't. Not an issue either way.

What the heck is creepy about going to a theme park alone? I guess you're assuming that any person who goes to a theme park alone only goes to...look at kids? As opposed to going on rides, you know, the reason anyone goes to a theme park? That reasoning is so strange to me.

What I have found is that people are not looking at you as much as you think you are. Whatever social qualms you may have aren't nearly as bad as you imagine them to be.

Worst case, take a pair of headphones.

I don't think many people would notice or care. If you go on a ride alone, who is going to know? You could of been in a group and have been the only one to want to ride that ride. I went to a theme park with a group and was the only one to ride a ride. My group waited for me at the exit to the ride.

I don't think it's creepy at all. I love my husband, but he's a huge homebody so if a concert or trip comes up that I want to go to I go by myself. I've flown to Los Angeles from NC twice to go to a couple of events I thought I would enjoy. He waves me off at the airport. I've been to plenty of wrestling matches by myself. Didn't even think twice about it.

My friend's dad would constantly go alone to Six Flags. He loved it. He said he could do what he wanted, and not worry about anyone else. Also he could go at extreme off hours to save cash and time.

I used to go to wrestling shows and concerts alone all the time. Within an hour I would be sucked into one group of people or another.

Going to wrestling alone sounds akin to going to a concert alone. Fast way to make new best friends.

It is actually far easier. Then again, CT had a really fun scene that got into keyfabe for the most part. A few smarks here and there but in general people responded to the action. Makes it easy to get with people and root on people.
