I sometimes (strangely) associate my matches with songs, and I can't help but visualize my match with Okada set to the Yuri on Ice OP.
Kenny Omega truly is an inspiration. You could even say a history maker.

So I just finished a short anime film called Typhoon Noruda, with a runtime of twenty-seven minutes. It's alright for what it is and I thought the animation was surprisingly good, however, the problem with these short films is that a lot of the time they feel rushed. I dunno, I just feel like an extra five - ten minutes would have been nice, so they could have explained where this mysterious "girl" came from, and why "she" was sent to earth to make sure it was reborn.

So I watched the newest episode of Tiger Mask W last night, which just so happened to feature this guy (among other New Japan talent)...

    Spoiler

I was also browsing the anime section on Netflix and started watching the three part OVA series, Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman. Admittedly, I haven't watched the main series for either character, however, I'm liking this collaboration, from what I've seen so far.

I own very few anime DVDs, but Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier is one that I do own. When I younger, I loved it and found it for $5 at Big Lots.

Just finished watching Expelled from Paradise via Netflix, it's not a bad little sci-fi anime film, with some decent mecha action in the last thirty - forty minutes.

I'll probably end up watching the 009 Re:Cyborg movie next, as I did like the crossover series with Devilman, maybe even get around to checking out that Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier series, you were talking about Raven.

Will be watching this in the next few days. The moment I saw it at Best Buy, I nabbed it fast cause it was the last copy. Apparently doesn't have the mini animations that came with each movie. Bummer.

I've seen that collector set at HMV the last time I was there @G/B, thought about picking it up myself, but I ended up buying a few nerdy t-shirts instead. Might go back and grab it, the next time I'm at HMV (probably when I buy Justice League Dark), assuming they'll still have any copies left.

Speaking of Pokemon, apparently the next film will be called Pokemon: I Choose You, and will be a film version of Ash and Pikachu's journey through the Kanto region.

To expand upon my previous post, I really enjoyed both Pokemon: The First Movie and Pokemon 2000, both are in the top three as far as Pokemon movies go for me, with the former being my absolute favorite.

As for the third Pokemon movie, I'll be honest, I don't remember much from it, though I want to say that it's the Secret of the Unknown movie or whatever it's called, I'd probably put it in the middle, as it's not one of my favorites but not one of the worst either (Jirachi Wish Maker instantly comes to mind, as far as worst movie goes).

Honestly though, I've enjoyed the majority of the Pokemon movies.

It's one of the main reasons why I bought it, although my favorite is 2000. But I remember very little of 3, so I get to see what it's about again. The fact that it's in Bluray and it's in a steelbook was enough for me to get it though. Hope to see more of these collections.

So Baccano!, I'm about half way through the series (finished episode six last night), and well I think it's good (not great), I also think it's a bit overrated due to some of the praise I've seen the series get over the years (namely it being one of the greatest anime series of all-time). I will say this though, I like both of the Isaac Dian, and Miria Harvent characters, not so much Jacuzzi (as he seems pretty whiny)... the opening is all kinds of awesome though, and I do think the animation is top notch, so there is that as well.

I finished up Baccano! last night, the second half of the series is definitely better than the first half... both Isaac Dian, and Miria Harvent remained my favorite characters in the show, though I also really liked Vino as well, such a violent man. Well I still think it isn't quite as deserving as it's praise, I do think the second half improved enough that I would at least call it pretty good, instead of just good.

I also borrowed a couple of anime movies from a co-worker (Redline, King of Thorn, and Patema Inverted), so I'll probably be watching those throughout the week as well.

Anime wise, I'm still watching all my weekly shows, in fact the dubbed version of DB Super has finally caught up to where I stopped watching the sub. I'm also continuing my venture into the Cyborg 009 universe, as I started watching Cyborg 009: City of Justice on Netflix as well.

Yeah, Netflix was kinda misleading with that, as it was the Signs of Holy War OVA episodes of Seven Deadly Sins and not the actual second season... which doesn't actually have a release date yet, at least according to MAL anyways.

Or at least that's what I'm seeing online, though I've yet to actually get around to watching Seven Deadly Sins myself. I mean, I get Netflix shouldn't have had hyped it up as the second season when it's not, but hey, you were saying you wanted to see Signs of Holy War as well so there's at least that.

After sleeping on it, I'm still pissed, but not as pissed. Netflix could have simply said this is an OVA and that would have been ok. Instead I cooked a nice steak dinner before settling down in front of the tv to watch with the kids and hubby, who took the night off, only to get 4 episodes of fluff. Damn it all!!!

I guess it's back to waiting for Attack on Titan. In the meantime, Lony, watch Seven Deadly Sins!

gotta find some new stuff on Crunchyroll...

Hmm... apparently there is going to be a Avengers anime.

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...roject/.112736

I like X-Men but I really felt like the rest of the animes (Wolverine, Iron Man & Blade) were kinda eh. Although not by Madhous this time, so it'll be interesting for sure good or bad.

Yeah, I saw that a couple of days ago, I'll probably pass on watching the series.

Anyone watching anything interesting at the moment?

    ------

Also, a look at the 20th Pokemon movie...

Which as you can tell, will be based on how Ash and Pikachu met, so basically a movie version of the first couple episodes of the Pokemon anime.

I finished Baka & Test such a fun show if my high school days were 20% as fun as that show portrays I'd have a lot more fun then I did. Looks like I'll have to search for the graphic novel.
