I liked the episode, but mostly because I like Tara's character. Plus, in the long run, this is another potential community that could join the fight against Negan and the Saviors.

I'm sure the mid-season will do what they always do and suck everyone back in, but it's been different.

Did kinda get a laugh of the opening. Little girl killing walkers like she's picking flowers. In a lot of ways they are background decorations.

On imdb the episode is the second-worst rated episode of the series. So yeah...was not well received.

I was bored throughout. I was hoping they were done with the single-story episodes but I forgot Tara and Heath existed. Now that they've covered everyone I really, really hope they're done. The show is entering season 2-A levels of boredom.

Then again, the Barnageddon payoff before the season 2 break was (almost) worth the bullshit episodes leading up to it. This hasn't been as bad but I get the feeling they're going into the winter break with a bang. I hope I'm right. After how last season ended and their inability to hide the premiere spoilers or maintain quality this season, I feel they owe the viewers something.

The group Tara found will obviously come up again and I think she'll tell Rick when she gets a first hand dose of Negan and The Saviours. Tara didn't experience how brutal they can be and I doubt she just shrugs off Denise dying. I'm betting Dwight finds out who Denise was and teases Tara. That guy can't help himself.

Either way, Alexandria, Hilltop, The Kingdom and [Insert Female Community Name] are going to all come together somehow. Now that we know how they all tie to the main group it's only a matter of time.

That was a fun little episode. Carl went gangsta for a bit and then went into bitch boy who I have hated for so long.

I still don't get all the love for Neegan. His leadership skills are so forced that I still don't believe him as this badass everyone sees him as. I'm not buying "the push", I guess. I still think The Governor was more bad ass.

I like where the storyline is going and I think Michonne may have made a fatal mistake. Neegan isn't going to be there for her and she's probably going to die. The mid season break needs something crazy to happen. I don't think the single bullet Eugene made is going to be the one that kills Neegan. It'll probably be used, but for something else. Maybe to save Rick from getting killed from that dude that's been hating on him. Whatever his name is.

Nice bounce back from last week, for sure. I loved the scenes with Negan and CORAL, especially when he tells him to own his injury. Negan is going to pull a Captain Hook and try to turn Carl against Rick, I just know it. It's going to be awesome too.

GOOD FORM, CARL. THAT'S MY BOY!

    That episode was bad ass.

The pool scene with Neegan gutting that scumbag was amazing. Lucille getting shot was hilarious. What bad, but great accuracy. The fat lady getting killed was due. She sucked and was useless. So tired of her crying. Daryl going bad ass on Fat Neegan was awesome, too. The reunion at the end was a great way to go on break. The second half of this season is going to be filled with casualties and it's going to rock. I expect Neegan to go down like Denzel in Training Day.

Now the question is; who is the man in the boots?!

The real tragedy is Negan shaving in the first few minutes. But it also made his interaction with everyone feel extra creepy.

Finally they can start fighting back. Was getting tired of rick being a little bitch. Also enjoyed that we didn't stay in one place.

Seriously lost on who it could be. I would have to believe that it's a new character, but the way they played it up, it feels like it should be a character we've already met or someone from the comic. And I'm lost on both counts.

The Mid-Season finale delivered, well and truly. That was what all those slow episodes were building up to. A breathtaking crescendo. Can't wait for February. Rick & Daryl's bromance reignited - and the group now coming up with a game plan to take down Negan & company.

Negan may be my favourite bad guy ever, irrespective of him killing my favourite, Glenn. He's just so damn, fucking cool. The ultimate cool heel. Negan World Order, brother.
    Sit down. Be humble.

I understand (obviously) why Eugene couldn't be in that reunion moment, but I was a bit disappointed that injured or not, Aaron wasn't there.

When he got pulled off of the canoe, my wife and I audibly gasped; I guess we care more about the character than we realized

Negan was one of my favorites since he first showed up to collect loot after Glenn in the books. I've marked for every appearance, but honestly I think I like JDM Negan better than comics. Sure the language isn't there, but sometimes less is more like Dumb & Dumber versus the unrated version. Boots I thought might be the next baddie in the books, but supposedly they'll play a role in the second half so that seems too soon for them to appear. Maybe someone from the female beach camp?

    Or Dora's monkey.

I was thinking Boots may be the black dude with the dreads who went missing, but I don't know why he would act so mysterious and not shout, "HEY, I'M OVER HERE!" So I have no clue.

I think Boots is someone new and likely the owner of the boat. They go out of their way to have Rick mention the guy had lots of guns but no ammo, so I think he hid out hoping someone would come along for his stuff then follow them back to where they came from.
