    Default The Open 2016

Big Phil nearly became the first player to score a 62 at a major, lipping out with his birdie attempt on 18. He'll probably shoot a 72 tomorrow.

    Ouch.

I always liked The Open. It's always unpredictable, the conditions are crazy, and don't let the lack of trees and water fool you, the courses will still eat you up.

    Thanks, surrender.

The weather is supposed to decline dramatically for round two, so Phil's three shot lead could come in very handy.

Only sad thing about this years Open is no more Ivor Robson doing the introductions.

Fantastic final day battle between Stenson and Mickelson, both finishing an absolute mile clear of the rest of the field.

Phil's now finished runner up 11 times in majors - crazy.
