    Default Wimbledon 2016

This is the big one. It's for the biggest prize in tennis. And in tennis' most sacred ground, where tradition is still alive and well.

Todd will post the men's draw. And for this post, I will post the women's.

Serena Williams has made the last two major finals. However, she lost both of them to relative unknowns. Can she break out of this trend, and be successful at keeping her title? Or is her time as the most dominate woman in the game be at an end?

    Here's the draw.

    Ladies Draw

    (1) Serena Williams

    Round 1: Amri Sadikovic
    Round 2: Daniela Hantuchova
    Round 3: Kristina Mladenovic (31)
    Round 4: Svetlana Kuznetsova (14)
    Quarterfinal: Roberta Vinci ( 6 )
    Semifinal: Agnieszka Radwanska (3)
    Final: Garbine Muguruza (2)

    (2) Garbine Muguruza

    Round 1: Camila Giorgi
    Round 2: Mariana Duque-Marino
    Round 3: Lucie Safarova (28)
    Round 4: Sam Stosur (14)
    Quarterfinal: Venus Williams (8)
    Semifinal: Angelique Kerber (4)
    Final: Serena Williams (1)

    (3) Agnieszka Radwanska

    Round 1: Kateryna Kozlova
    Round 2: Karin Knapp
    Round 3: Caroline Garcia (30)
    Round 4: Johanna Konta (16)
    Quarterfinal: Belinda Bencic (7)
    Semifinal: Serena Williams (1)
    Final: Garbine Muguruza (2)

    (4) Angelique Kerber

    Round 1: Laura Robson
    Round 2: Varvara Lepchenko
    Round 3: Irina-Camelia Begu (25)
    Round 4: Karolina Pliskova (15)
    Quarterfinal: Simona Halep (5)
    Semifinal: Garbine Muguruza (2)
    Final: Serena Williams (1)

I also have a poll question as well. Enjoy Wimbledon.

I compare tennis to nascar..golf and hockey...live it's a blast but on tv not so much unless you go back to when John McEnroe was playing then you were just waiting on the explosion.

Yeah. The outbursts you hear now-a-days, are relatively tame when you compared them to some of McEnroe's tirades.

    NOVAK'S OUT!!!

Color me shocked. I mean, I knew he was down two sets. But I thought, like all top seeds usually do, he would come back and win the next three.

First Stan, and now Novak. Looks like the road just got a lot easier for Andy Murray.

With novak out its looking like Milos Raonic should have a good chance to get into the semi finals in the same bracket as Roger Federer. He'll beat him this time. Raonic for wimbledon champ!!!

Sad Genie didn't go further than teh third round. Although that's better than she's done in a while.

I saw Serena's incident where she threw her racquet and it hit a cameraman. I really don't understand why people like here, she can't seem to go more than a year without hitting someone with something, uttering threats at a umpire or something unclassy.

I'd love to see him win one more (isn't happening), but always a pleasure to see Fed gut out an epic against a great-playing opponent while approaching 35 years old.

I say that as a huge Fed fan of course. For the sport, Cilic needs to be beating Fed there, just like Novak losing was good in general. Cilic's time is already gone, but we have some missing generations. Novak should not be dominating as he is at his age.

I'm not a big fan of tennis and won't act like I follow it closer than your below-average casual sports fan, but today is a great day for Canadian sports and I'm going to celebrate.

Unlike Genie Bouchard, I feel like Milos actually has a decent shot of winning it all. GO MILOS!!!

Don't see Raonic coming back from this. Murray is just too good.

Great effort though. Today's experience will only improve his game. Proud day for Canadian sports.

Another Canadian in the Wimbledon final, another straight sets loss. I hope Milos doesn't have a fall from grace like Genie had.

He made the Wimbledon final after returning from a pretty rough injury. I think he'll do ok.

Betting he doesn't fire his coach like Genie did either. She's an idiot.

We won't see a fall from grace from Milos. He has had a much different career path than Genie When he first came onto the scene to the big time in 2011 all he had was his serve and that was pretty much it. In 5 years he has slowly been adding more tools to his game over time and fine tuning everything else along the way. His results have been steadily improving as well. He's no flash in the pan.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Raonic in another final. With Djokovic and Murray nearing 30, and Rafa and Fed on their last legs, the field should open up from next year. Milos is in a good position to grow.

Elite male players hardly ever have falls from grace anyway (that aren't injury related, and Raonic has already had his) so there's absolutely no reason to think he will. As Ace said, he's in a good position with not a whole lot of competition around him now as he hits his peak years.

Andy Murray has an awful personality but he is fully deserving of adding to his major title list - a great player who would have won many more titles had he not been around at the same time as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.

I stayed up for this until midnight last night and I'm very happy for Andy. I wish Milos had won a set, at least. Hahaha.
