Skip left for the money and I don't blame him but if he stayed he could have still pissed off all those sports fans who hate him yet watch the show. Feels like a lot of fans that hate Raw, complain all the time, and still watch it.

Why? Dan Lebetard is great. He doesn't take sports or himself seriously at all. I might not like everything he says but I dig his view on things. Most fans go bat shit crazy because Dan mocks the construct of sports media. I just laugh because fans take shit so serious,in turn want him to do the same and get mad when he doesn't acting like they can't find the same tired construct of hot take bullshit everywhere else.

Douchebags around America rejoice at the news that Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock are set to host a show together on Fox Sports.

Gosh why not just set a real tone for the show and let Skip mediate and steer discussion.

Jason Whitlock & Colin Cowherd together...I think that combination could replace a Horseman of the Apocalypse.

People seemed to love Colin Cowherd in his last 2 person show back on SportsNation.

They probably should have joined Cowherd and Charissa Thompson together but hey what do I know?

I may not care for most of what ESPN offers but it doesn't seem to make a difference who leaves or joins them ratings stay the same.

The one thing I'll miss about Bayless is him going on on how his Cowboys are the Super Bowl favorites every year. Never have I rooted for a team to fail so hard. God bless you daft Bayless.

My point along with ratings most of the talking heads are replaceable because the brand is so powerful. It's not like people are flocking to Fox Sports 1,NBCSN or CBS Sports Network for the sports personalities. The flaw with networks is that they were way late to the party. ESPN had a 35 year head start on them. Look at Michelle Beadle she went to NBCSN and disappeared.

The brand is losing some of it's power , and while it's still got a considerable lead in the eyes of the public , more and more educated and diehard sports fans are going elsewhere or scouring the internet but better and actual insightful information.

They also completely hate original opinion and thought and anything that might piss off the NFL. It's funny that for a channel THAT loves putting out any sports debate show imaginable and will leave them run for years , won't allow an actual debate to happen on a real issue. Instead they just suspend and silence the party.

They are the WWE of sports media. Plain and simple.

That's true ESPN is like WWE but maybe it's just me if I don't like WWE I can go sample other types of wrestling flavors. With sports yeah ESPN has the loudest voice but outside of a few people EVERYBODY talks about sports in 1 of 2 to maybe 4 ways. Condescending like Cowheard Witlock and the like, vanilla like Mike & Mike and go really off the deep end like Skip & SAS. People like Jim Rome,Dan Dan Lebetard,Bill Simmons and Katie Nolan have their own flavor on topics. Every network is pretty much the same. has their own biases and formats hell I wanted to call Doug Gottlieb's Show 1 time and defend hockey what's the point? most of these media types of their own agenda and echo chambers anyway and you as a single viewer or listener can't ever deviate from the same 3 or 4 topics they regurgitate each they or call host on their bullshit if you disagree with their views or they way the express them.Often these people just take the dumbest calls on the other side of their viewpoint just to stoke their own ego. Maybe my post has nothing to do with anything you've touched own here but I'm just voicing my indifference to most of the medium that is sports talk radio and I love sports but I don't enjoy how sports is talked about for the most part anymore it's just a habit now.

It was interesting to see ESPN's ratings for the NFL draft fall significantly again this year, while NFL Network's rose slightly (especially as I think NFLN still has very limited availability?) It's no real surprise when they trot out Chris Berman every year.

ESPN is just getting rid of everyone now.

Ray Lewis and Cris Carter are both out. Randy Moss in.

Both were fairly intolerable. Hopefully TJ is next.

I like that Randy Moss took over Carter's job as the go to WR in Minnesota and does the same with ESPN. Wowza.

Tom Jackson must have some sort of photos on the ESPN heads to keep this job for as long as he has.

Randy Moss makes for a surprisingly insightful and unbiased analyst. Countdown will be much better for his, and Charles Woodson's, presence.

I love Moss but he's a Brady/Pats dickslobber, he will be all over Brady's dick throughout the season. Shall be painful.

No one can be as biased as Rodney Harrison though. At least ESPN didn't buy him out.

Now I kind of want there to be somewhat of a revolving door of analysts every year , keep things fresh and always gain new perspective on players and teams. I think Woodson can be really good since he is fresh out of the league and a good talker.

Moss has been decent on TV as well , but the guy was never really known for being a student of the game or even really caring so I've always had a hard time he really is doing his homework for less money.

ESPN has kept the holy Quadruple of Salters/Ponder/Burke/Mendoza as far as big name females goes.

Fox Sports already trying to go after Schilling's more hot, more cool replacement with nasty tweets.

Mike North: Jessica Mendoza would 'already be fired' if she were a man

ugh, keep on losing Fox Sports. I watch ya for soccer and Big East basketball, that's it. Well you have baseball too I guess.

During his tenure at The Score he came under criticism for suggesting a female ESPN reporter had slept her way into better assignments and referring to South Korean pitcher Jae Kuk Ryu as a "Chinaman."

    Wow what a winner.

Have to disagree on that one. He was able to pick up the Patriots offensive system which has a BRUTAL learning curve for wide receivers. There is a reason so many free agent receivers have washed out in New England.

Now his work ethic on the other hand.......
