Greece has legalized medical cannabis recently. It had a prohibition dating to 1890 on cannabis! Interesting...Details won't be out yet but the general article's link is below.

Very interesting news...In Switzerland, a Swiss tobacco company (Heimat) will begin selling packs of CBD joints(which will reportedly contain up to 20% CBD) in certain grocery stores starting July 24th. These same grocery stores already sell other products with hemp in them, such as tea, oil and beer. Coop is the grocery store chain's name(there's supposedly other chains participating) and a pack of joints is 19.90 Francs, apparently.

It just needs to be legalized here. The medical marijuana situation sounds like one big headache...

It is..This is about the best info out until shit gets finalized(whenever that happens)..Things are truly asinine in Ohio...Especially considering the fact that people can't grow their own weed at home. Not just for people living in towns/cities but since Ohio's in the Midwest, people who have farms could(though they're prevented by no citizen being allowed to grow their own weed) grow a good amount of weed on a section of their own property, sell it to various cannabis dispensaries and get consistent income from that, for instance. That's one of many examples on how Ohio could've made their weed laws actually useful for people.

I dunno..Ohio misses it on so many levels with cannabis it's just pathetic.

It is interesting. I have been doing a fair amount of reading about how legal taxed marijuana in particular studies in CO is mostly beneficial to white people. The model goes that due to the almost 30% tax that there is still an economic advantage to buy from the black market for poorer people. The poorer people being predominantly black are the consumers of black market weed. Some estimates of up to 40% of the weed sold in CO is on the black market. Another economic inhibitor is the cost to get a dispenseray permit. Apparently, the $10,000 cost to open up a legal shop to sell weed in CO is not what people want to spend in the hood.

So, end of day black people is still dealing and still getting arrested for selling weed in the hood. White people are using their economic advantage to pay taxes and open dispensaries. Apparently, the arrests of blacks for selling weed have hit crazy numbers.

It could be argued that legal weed only helps white people and hurts black people.

@Theend that's actually pretty accurate and there are some blacks out there who wanna get other blacks involved legitimately in the cannabis business..But you're very right on how legal weed benefits mostly whites. Since mostly white people in Colorado own/operate dispensaries/grow houses, etc Even in the Bay, there's more black involvement in cannabis(along with Asian) but still, it's got a ways to go on the whole..

@Ness the beautiful thing is, weed is also really good to use as a preventative medicine. So that being stated, you could still take some liquid cannabis tincture under your tongue or smoke a high CBD joint and it'd help your body. Mostly what would be happening in your body is that the cannabinoids from the cannabis you ingest will interact with your own endocannabinoid system and help to flush/kill off whatever prescription drugs(if any) you're on from your internal organs/intestines/bloodstream, plus it'd help with most any conditions you possibly have.

@Soulblazed I have brought up the whole black market thing in other mediums and people always come back with the fact they have been to or live in CO and never saw a black market. It's kinda comical how naive they are to the other economic classes.

@Theend oh yea it's plenty ironic there. Like I stated, the Bay (even though it needs more of it) has more diversity in at least some blacks are involved with the cannabis industry. This one's based in Oakland.https://blackcannabisentrepreneur.com/

It'll be nice when there's more(on an overall scale in the US) black, Asian, central American, etc cannabis business owners because that way it'll be a catalyst for more people of those same races to get involved and work together.

@Theend that's a great question I've wondered about. From what I've read, it boils down to a tribe by tribe basis..In that whatever tribe's land said rez/casino is on will either be (from what I've read at least) extremely against or extremey pro cannabis.

Now here's some interesting shit! As you'll see, some tribes for various reasons can't won't grow weed on their land..But, if you look to Washington State, the Squaxin and Suquamish tribes, they've have been selling weed for awhile. The Suquamish, for example got smart with it..They(since December 2015) sell weed from a store on their land and collect the same 37% tax as Washington State does. The Squaxin opened their 1st cannabis store on their land in November.
