I guess given his size, this isn't a huge shock. But still... 43, heart attack, wrestler. Main stream media are gonna eat this up and rightfully so. Ridiculous industry.

What the fuck has this gotta do with the industry? The guy was ridiculously overweight

Sorry to hear this. He was a decent big guy in the ring and could move pretty good considering his size. Hate to see that he died. RIP

He's just another statistic for the media to salivate over.

    No he's not.

Sorry but nobody will even bother to attempt to sell a man who died of a heart attack and looked like this... as anything related to wrestling.

I'll never forget Lillian proposing and him going away with the Godfather. That PPV got me into wrestling again.

    Calling all cars.

I'm not the least bit surprised, but I am saddened to hear that. He was a very entertaining performer. And I may be in a minority here, but I thought his push as Big Daddy V was phenomenal, even if him being shirtless was the stuff of nightmares.

    Rest in peace, big guy.

I'm with you man. I was never a fan of his Mabel or Viscera gimmicks, but I thought Big Daddy V was cool as fuck and had potential to be a major player on RAW. Too bad from what I remember he never did anything outside of WWECW. Striker made a great manager for him, too.

& To people saying you aren't surprised due to his weight, I've actually been hearing V has been slimming down since leaving WWE.

    RIP

Do you think TMZ give a shit what he looks like? Fact is that he was a WWE wrestler who died of a heart attack under the age of 45. He will be another number on every list they spout out. I'm sure they could find a way to blame the WWE for his weight problems and instead of having him address it, they promote it as essential for his gimmick.

Don't give the media credit for giving a fuck that his weight problems were his own.

I worked a few cards with Nelson in the Memphis area before he became Viscera. He was nice to me. Watched some of my matches and gave me good advice that I wish had followed during my short career. He told me to slow down, limit and perfect my moveset, and to make everything count. He told me that just because I knew every move doesn't mean I should try to fit all of them into every match. I was never a big fan of his characters, but I loved hanging out with the man.

The amount of stress and wear and tear in the ring can take its toll.

Can't say I am surprised with him getting a heart attack but it still sucks given he was so young. The Love Machine got to do some lovin' with the likes of Trish Stratus and Lilian Garcia....he can always say he did that.

Wow, that's a young guy to die of a heart attack. I get he was a big man, but that's just too damn young. I was never a fan of any of the characters they gave the guy, but you could tell he had talent, and should have been the 90's version of Bundy.
