Default New Five-Year UK TV Deal

Sky and the WWE have signed a new five-year deal from 2015, which means Main Event is finally coming to the UK&I but, as probably was always going to happen, seems all PPVs are going to be on Sky Box Office in the new deal.

Sky will also offer 12 special events a year on a pay-per-view basis, including WrestleMania®, Royal Rumble®, SummerSlam®, Survivor Series® and Money in the Bank®.

Hopefully this ends up with more info being available on the Network availability over here soon.

Gone are the days when all PPV's were free. I guess I'll be streaming them for the rest of my natural life.

I was pretty certain that the free PPVs we got were a hangover from the days when C4 had the wrestling. I never expected them to last forever. Guess I'll just be watching Rumble and Mania now then

The PPVs are gone because of the Network. Free PPVs discourage people from purchasing the Network. Also, you can safely put two and two together and assume that this is what the hold up is in terms of the Network coming to the UK. We'll get it at the end of the year, any time after the final free PPV (which is Night of Champions).

I love that people always say we got the ppvs free, we got them free if we paid £40+ a month haha. Makes sense with the network to now have them all on box office which I'm fine with til the network releases here.

Used to love when they were on Channel 4.

You're a business-wise guy. Care to hazard a guess as to what the hold-up is in Canada?

Is it wrong I thought 2015 was 3 years away... when in fact it is next year .
