Default What are you thankful for this year: WWE Edition

It may be one day late but probably still worth doing. Just off the top of your heads name a few things you are thankful for regarding the WWE.

We finally got a new belt.

The wrestler beat the franchise FOR THE BIG ONE CLEAN.

    The Spear is back!
*Don't worry guys... not that Spear... *

They're here (for their promos, Bray is enthralling... not digging their in ring work too much ATM though)

A thread where we're positive about the WWE... Ok I can do that.

    1. I'm thankful that in 2013, The Rock once again became champion of the people.

    2. I'm thankful Daniel Bryan beat John Cena CLEAN in the main-event of Summer Slam.

    3. I'm thankful that Curtis Axel held the WWE Intercontinental Championship for 155 days.

Fandango caught on... I was a naysayer who thought it would be stupid before he even debuted but that theme song, that portrayal and those dancers (Summer Rae and the original legit dancer), they made it work BIG TIME.

Sandow came really close to winning the big one... forgetting the crippling disappointment when he lost, that was a damn great match and it happened on Raw!!!

    Cody Rhodes got a push!

The bizarre one is tagging with his brother!

The Dolph Ziggler Cash In for sure. The new WWE title for sure. Fandango too. Otherwise, not much.

Honestly, it took me forever to think of what I actually liked this year. I'm thankful for Alberto Del for holding the WHC most of the year and Daniel Bryan beating John Cena.

Our Princess's Pipebomb, her getting the title, her not being arm candy anymore, her being a featured champion wrestler with a great unorthodox finisher!

We need a transcript of that speech.

"Do you want to know what I see when I look at that ring, honestly, a bunch of cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women. Women who have turned to reality television because they just weren't gifted enough to become actresses. And they just weren't talented enough to become champion."

There is more but that is the jist.

    Great thread, Dose!

I am thankful for the slugfest that was Brock Lesnar vs John Cena. One of the most thrilling and unpredictable matches the WWE has ever produced.

I am thankful for the greatness that is The Shield, and their extremely good booking. They were brought down from god-mode undefeated level without being completely ruined, and still remain an extremely dangerous force. May they stay together for at least a little while longer.

I am thankful for Daniel Bryan's eventual rise to the top, culminating by a convincing win over John Cena.

And finally, I am also thankful for the lovely and enthusiastic new interviewer, Renee Young.

By far the greatest moment of the year:

Jack Swagger winning the Elimination Chamber and Co-Main Eventing Wrestlemania in New Jersey.

To see one of my favorites in the company not only come back but to beat some of the best talent in the world in such a grueling was beautiful. WWE tried their best to bury this guy but he kept on trucking and showed the WWE he ain't gonna tolerate that nonsense as he stood home raising his child with his lovely wife. By far it was one of the very few matches I was jumping up and down for screaming for Swagger to survive and get the pinfall(s). I legit fist pumped when Jack pulled the upset. Dude got left off the Wrestlemania card when he was ECW Champ, this guy killed it this match.

    http://forums.prowrestling.com/showt...nation+chamber
(God that thread was greatness. So much rage)
And PW post-match....dat rage. Dat feel.

ALMOST as good as Swagger's MITB win. That's because Swagger cashed it in to accomplish the full-blown ragequitting that commenced among the IWC. We all knew Del Rio would win so I was not too surprised.

I'll probably add a few more after this.

Keep on trucking, Swagger! You really showed everybody!

Anyway, the one thing I am truly grateful for about WWE this year:

WWE's undisputed best show this year, Saturday Morning Slam!

For the latter part of 2012 and 5 glorious months of 2013, WWE produced the most fun wrestling show on TV, a true haven for yours truly, where I got to enjoy simple wrestling sprinkled with lots of fun, the way nature intended wrestling to be.

Honestly, I just can't BEAR to not have the show any more, it was so fun!
    That's all, folks.

I don't blame you, the damn bastards didn't even give him a Wrestlemania Moment/Entrance!

    2) Heath Slater Climbing The Mountain of Legends.

John Cena, and CM Punk have never wrestled the likes of Sid, Vader, and DDP. The most popular female in the company, AJ Lee has never faced Lita. You know who has though?

I will admit I was not that much of a Slater fan......up until this. He's been absolutely on fire this year. Great seller, hilarious in the ring and gets the fans involved by making a fool of himself. That's so hard to do on live TV. He gets hardly anything and whatever he has gotten, he's made the most out of it. Yeah he got squashed and humiliated but who cares?!?!?!? He got to wrestle with some big time names!

You can't help but feel good for someone who was on the verge of possibly being cut to suddenly become a weekly fixture on Monday Night Raw and have one of the best segments every single week during this Slater vs The World storyline.

Here are the top 3 things I am thankful for:

    1. Cody Rhodes - His performance at MITB, face push, promo after being fired, and tag team title reign with Goldust

    2. The Shield - Mainly Ambrose, but the others are good to(Reigns to a lesser degree)

    3. Daniel Bryan - His push to the title culminating in the WWE Title win and all of his great matches

I am thankful for Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk and Summerslam 2013 in general. Punk and Brock put on one of the best matches ever and had the most entertaining feud this year. I loved everything about the buildup and culmination. It's just too bad that the feud between Punk and Heyman was dragged on way too long because Curtis Axel and Ryback suck ass.

I have been informed by Stefan that Cena vs Brock took place in 2012, not this year. This blows my mind. It definitely doesn't seem that long ago
