Default WWE Planning a WCW PPV Matches DVD Set

    http://www.wrestlingdvdnews.com/next...matches/54798/

I was never a WCW fan myself since I only started watching wrestling when they started going downhill and it wasn't popular to watch WCW so what matches do you folks think should be included? Apparently it'll be about 8 hours long so I assume plenty of matches will be included.

I posted a few years back that WWE should start a Tagged Classics series for WCW and ECW shows. License to print money.

This could honestly be the best set the WWE has ever released if they take it seriously and don't just throw whatever match sounds good.

Not that the set should only be made up of the best matches, I think they need to mix it up with the high profile matches to provide fans with a bit of context but for the most part, the set should really span from Starrcade 83 all the way through to 2000 and that fun ladder tag match which has featured on a few sets now.

I'll have a look at other WCW sets and try and come up with a list of matches that haven't been used yet or not in a long long time.

I'm really excited about this. Nothing before or since has surpassed the quality of matches from the Cruiserweight division. There's a lot of talented wrestlers today in WWE, but even they don't match the quality matches from the Cruiserweights. One PPV match I'm praying they don't put on this DVD is Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair from Bash at the Beach. Nothing against the match but I've seen it too many times of too many DVDs!

I'd like to see plenty of matches from Rey Mysterio, Eddie, and Dean Malenko. In my opinion Malenko is the best technical wrestler ever. As for Rey he probably had the best matches out of anyone in WCW.

You can't have a Best Of without Benoit.

Jericho vs. Mysterio - Souled Out
Mysterio v. Guerrero - Halloween Havok
Dean Malenko v. Jericho - Slamboree (should include the cruiserweight battle royal, just because)
    Mysterio v. Juvi v. Guerrero v. Kidman - Starrcade

    All should be on it.

I wonder if Hogan Vs Sting at Starrcade 97 will be on it? Initially I'd assume yes, as it was without a doubt the most hyped WCW PPV bout ever... but the match itself was fucking atrocious.

Mysterio vs Dean Malenko*Great American Bash*my personal favorite between the two.
Savage vs DDP*Spring Stampede*not the greatest but I really liked this fued as a kid.
Any Bret vs Beniot but that wont happen.
Raven vs Saturn*I believe it was Fall Brawl

^^^ They did a Best Of Starrcade three disc set a year or two ago. I'd highly recommend it to any wrestling fan.
