That IMO is what's wrong with TNA today. Jay Lethal was one of the main reasons I tuned in every week. I loved his Black Machismo gimmick. The guy was great in the ring and I enjoyed his promos as well.

I liked the Black Machismo character but since Randy Savage has passed away, I think might be a little disrespectful to do it now.

I never thought it came off as disrespectful, more if a tribute to him, much like cm punks elbow drop.

TNA dropped the ball on him too many times for hiim to want to come back. There are two instances in which he was put over to be a star, but TNA failed with booking him after the moments. His match against Kurt Angle in 2007 for the X Division really put him over as a future star on his way. Even defeating Team 3D with the MCMG gave him a big boost. But his feud with Sonjay Dutt wasn't exactly the best next step. Then in 2010 you have Ric Flair even putting him over. But no, they just stuck him back in the X division until he left.

He was so much fun with his different personas. TNA really does need a good dose of fun humor while having great talent as well.

I don't want to see any more gimmick infringement on my TV screen. He is a good wrestler, but he needs something completely original if you ask me

It wasn't disrespectful, then. He was mocking a man who was still alive and it was more like he was ribbing the guy, almost like he was hoping to get to work a program with Mach. Bringing it back after his death seems in bad taste. What Punk does now is more of a tribute kind of like Chavo doing (although poorly) a frog splash or the Three Amigos. But a comedy character, imitation after his death just seems in poor taste to me.

Well, the story goes that Jay met with Randy Savage when he started doing the gimmick, and Macho man gave him his blessing.

It's unlikely for TNA to re-sign Jay Lethal, because...TNA is dumb that way, but it wouldn't be a bad thought for him to bring it back once in a while.

Hell, let him do more impressions.

Well if he got the blessing from the man itself, then I guess I'm okay with it. But with Shark Boy and copying Stone Cold, that's a different story

    Not necessarily...according to Sharky himself.

"I was really happy to know that he liked it because I was kind of worried. If he'd hated it, that would have really bothered me because I really admire the guy. But then I heard he thought it was funny and entertaining. And the first person who told me that was Kevin Nash. He said, 'Yo. I called Steve and told him about what you're doing and that he should watch. He popped. He loved it.' So I was really happy to hear that."
Oh, also. Stone Cold Shark Boy was one of the greatest things ever.

That is seriously on the level of the Unbreakable 3-Way in terms of greatest TNA moments ever. Unforgettable.

Jay Lethal has retired the Black Machismo gimmick. Plus, TNA doesn't need another X-Division guy since they don't use all of the X-Division guys they have, and the ones they do use, they use outside the X-Division for the most part. Then again, what the hell is the X-Division?

The fact that they brought back Shark Boy this past week (and another TNA legendary gimmick according to their official website) next week. I'm getting my hopes up for a cameo from the Black Machismo.

I liked the Machismo thing but I dug his Ric Flair persona more.

One of the things I would have liked to see them do is have Ric betray AJ in favor of Lethal, then have those two going out on the town, wrangling up women, getting drunk. Would have been a big draw, I think.

If by big draw you mean keeping the rating exactly the same then yes, I imagine it would.
