Default Wrestling Observer claims WWE are negotiating with Goldberg

WWE and Bill Goldberg are now in talks, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There has been talk of him doing next year’s WrestleMania in New Orleans, LA. It appears likely they want him to work a match with Ryback.

Goldberg would be 47, but still trains hard and is in good shape and has been open to the idea of doing one big match, plus, there’s always a potential Hall of Fame offer.

Like the Batista reports it's probably bullshit, especially considering how much Goldberg hates Vince and H (hell just look at his Twitter page from yesterday), but I just had to post this because if Goldberg vs. Ryback did happen, WrestleMania XX will be nothing compared to how much fans will shit on the match.

Goldberg was big in WCW when I first started watching wrestling casually so I wouldn't mind seeing him again.

The match would probably be mediocre but it'd be amusing to see Goldberg vs. Ryback. You could even start the feud by having Goldberg rip Ryback for stealing his leather jackets.

I really wonder if by that time Ryback will be at the level of wrestling a returning megastar like Goldberg. How about Mark Henry vs. Goldberg?

Goldberg vs. Ryback would be drizzling shits on a stick. There's NO good that can come from that match.

Bring him in as the Corporate Monster to get tapped out by Bryan. Then do a Cena/Goldberg superfight, and the Hall of Fame induction. Then toss him back onto the street.

Apparently the Observer still makes things up. I've been saying it for years and I'll say it again: if it's not on PWInsider, I don't trust it.

I almost hope its true though, just cause I know the crowd will shit all over it and it'll be awesome.

    Lol

Goldberg should be used on someone else unless Ryback catches back on fire

Fuck that, they need to book Goldberg Vs. Undertaker. Its the only big match they never did when Bill was there.

I am going to call this report to be false. It's probably only around because he was announced for the new WWE Game.

Goldberg has nothing else left to prove in the WWE and he would not fit in the current programming. I hope he stays far, far away.

When I talked to Goldberg last year he told me he has accomplished everything but the streak. He told me if he gets a shot at the streak he will then come back

Not sure which I hate more, the use of a "streak" in pro wrestling or every retired guy thinking they deserve that Wrestlemania match.

I don't think Goldberg is going to come back for a job so what does the WWE have to gain from having him come back and make one of their roster look week in a squash match (Which is the only match Goldberg can wrestle)

The saddest thing for me is when Bret thinks his crippled, broken-down, halfway-to-death ass deserves to break the streak.

Ryback should join the new corporation. He could be the new muscle like Kane and Big Bossman were back in the day. It might help him get back on track and become relevant again.

I wouldn't mind the guest rumble spot like someone above suggested. Would hate a Ryback and Goldberg Wrestlemania match though.

I would love too see the man back, but it would only hurt others. At first I wanted to see Goldberg come in and destroy Ryback, but then he turned heel and I got into his character. Really the only big matches left for him are a rematch with Lesnar, and matches with Cena and Undertaker, which he should win none of them. I'd much rather see him go to TNA cause they need star power anyways.

    Dream match
    Former world champion
    Guranteed draw
    Believable threat

    Yeah, he deserves it.

Goldberg does signings and said in a recent interview with 4th & Pain he would want to wrestle Undertaker if he came back. I believe what spladle says.

Goldberg destorys Ryback in 30 seconds & Ryberg is never heard from again.
