Isn't Hell in a Cell also that month?
- The UK’s Sky TV is currently listing WWE’s October pay-per-view as “Battleground.” Previously, the event had been known as “Over The Limit.” WWE has yet to acknowledge the change. The show takes place on Sunday, October 6th from Buffalo, NY.
So still might be OTL in the U.S. I doubt it though if it's changed on the UK listings. Never liked the Over The Limit name. Too similar to Over The Edge. I like the name Battleground.
August 18 - SummerSlam
September 15 - Night of Champions
October 6 - Over The Limit/Battleground
October 27 - Hell in a Cell
November 24 - Survivor Series
December 15 - TLC
I could do without the first October one (whatever it ends up being called), but then again, I guess it makes up for there being no March PPV (and only one May PPV instead of the usual two).
I miss the last Sunday of every month having a PPV. Two in October is not really needed.

Maybe i'm just being nostalgic but I really dislike these newfangled pay per view names. Night of Champions is cool but the rest are meh.
Battleground is a better name than Over the Limit.
Still called Over The Limit here: http://www.wwe.com/shows/wweoverthelimit/
Remember when pay per views had kickass names like Bash At The Beach, Fall Brawl, Unforgiven, Fully Loaded, No Way Out, Souled Out, Judgment Day, etc.
Now-a-days, it seems they get their ideas from little 8 year olds.
The vast majority of those names are no worse than this one.
I wonder if they'll introduce a new multi-man gimmick match or if it's just a cool name?
So many PPVs!
(Mucho credit to Bender)
There are only 12 PPVs a year now. There are two in October because there are none in March.
While I wish HIAC had a longer build, I don't think 12 is too many.
I'm a sucker for nostalgia, so I think there should be one October PPV, and it should most definitely be....
I wish Vince would realize how much his PPV names suck compared to WCW. I would love to see Halloween Havoc come back. Triple H was once behind the idea of bringing War Games back, but Vince wasn't. Hopefully when Triple H takes over he can incorporate some WCW PPVs into the schedule.
I would love to see them adopt Fall Brawl (featuring War Games), Halloween Havoc, and Starrcade in their traditional months of September, October, and December. You'd basically just be replacing PPV's with no real tradition like Night Of Champions, Hell In A Cell, and TLC.
Hog (Road) Wild or we riot.
Sky isn't normally great at updating WWE things on their schedules. I remember like a year or two back, they still listed JR and Jerry Lawler as the announce team. It could be correct but I don't know why Sky would have the info first before WWE even updates their info about it.
Sky always advertise the names as something screwy anyway take it as a pinch of salt my transatlantic friends.

12 is too many anyway. There should be 1 every 6-8 weeks these days not 3-4 weeks.
maybe Battleground will be War Games. Would make sense as a name change considering WWE's relationship with the armed forces. Can't really call something War Games when the US is fighting wars still.
