More hours of TV. Good lord.
There are currently no plans for WWE to bring RAW back to two hours each week. WWE officials like the extra money they're making each week and they are looking at more hours of TV and more rights fees each week. That's where WWE is focused on growing their business right now - not live events or pay-per-views but TV and rights fees.
The one thing WWE could do with is a significant TV presence.
It's bad for the product and storylines that they have to keep producing one more hour each RAW. But I understand the extra money is always a good thing.
I know right. In Australia there's only 3 hours on Wednesday, 3 hours on Thursday, 3 hours on Friday. Then 4 hours of replays on Saturday and 2 hours of replays on Sunday.
To quote Ryback "Feed me more"
More TV? I share everybody's sentiment of that. Fuck that. I can barely keep up with what they are putting out now. Too much to handle as it is.
Nobody is forcing you guys to watch everything the WWE produces.
How about giving us more wrestling, and less recaps. It's because of them kids with those short attention spans, ISN'T IT?!!!
Get a DVR guys. Makes things so much easier.
Also, there isn't too much WWE of tv. There's too much mediocre WWE on TV. If every show was stellar I think people would be just fine with all the hours. If one hour was added to RAW just to push product and do recaps and talk about the App and that sort of thing it would be one thing but it feels like they are dedicating half the show to all that shit. Promoting your goods is fine as long as it's not in competition of the actual reason people tuned in.
I used to hate the three hour shows when they first changed it. I don't hate it as much now because I tape it and don't have to sit through the breaks, and I cut the show up through the week. However, if given the choice I would rather Raw return to two hours again. I definitely don't want to see anymore shows broadcasted though, there are more than enough. I only even watch Raw and NXT.
Thanks too Fresh Prince
TV is a dead medium. Its not suprising WWE has not realised this.
I don't think there was any chance they were going to go back to 2 hours. That would be like saying "3 hour Raws have been a fail."
The thing that bugs me most about all this TV time is that there are still so many superstars and divas that don't have anything to do. That's unacceptable with all the programming they have at the moment.
I don't get home from work until around 9:40 in the evening.
I'm pretty much OK, but I empathize with you guys.
