Default 10 Superstars who put the 'W' in WWE

WWE.com just did a list of "10 superstars who put W in the WWE"

    Here is the list:
    10. Chris Jericho
    9. Natalya
    8. Tyson Kidd
    7. Cody Rhodes
    6. Dolph Ziggler
    5. Antonio Cesaro
    4. William Regal
    3. Brock Lesnar
    2. CM Punk
    1. Daniel Bryan

WOW! they made a list almost looks legit? I thought cena and orton would be in it. Kudos to WWE for making a great list.

    Article:http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2013-05...o-put-w-in-wwe

Last Monday, Antonio Cesaro continued his roaring rampage of revenge by Neutralizing Zack Ryder into a splatter and proclaiming that he was the kind of competitor who puts the “W” in WWE. As in, “Wrestling.” Old-school, down-and-dirty, carny-rumblin’ wrestling (though, to be fair, since he does speak five languages, Cesaro probably qualifies for the “World” W as well). Easy as it is to nitpick at the egotistical ramblings of recently dethroned champions, it’s honestly tough in this case to disagree with The Swiss Superman’s sermon.

With his brutal strength and technical precision, Cesaro is nothing if not a throwback to a bygone era of technical grappling and he’s certainly not alone in this characterization. While WWE has become known these days for the superhuman statue of its competitors, there are a few like Cesaro who go about their business in a decidedly old-fashioned way. These are ten of the throwback Superstars (and one Diva) from the WWE locker room, a unique blend of seasoned competitors and newcomers, seeking to bring the roots of amateur wrestling and sports-entertainment into the future. Try lacing up their boots … if you dare.

I am baffled that WWE made a positive list and Cena isn't even on it let alone #1.

I kinda don't get how Lesnar is on this list though. All these people on the list to me know how to wrestle and wrestle well. Lesnar is more the brawler type and doesn't really fit here for me. Its like I see 9 people who are similar in a way and then a completely different type of wrestler is lumped in.

Cena makes no claim to be a great in ring technician. He's a brawler and a fighter. He may not put the "W" in WWE, but he sure as hell puts the "E" in there.

I assume Lesnar's included because of his amateur wrestling background, though I agree he doesn't actually bring that much of this across to his current wrestling style. It applied more during his first WWE run when he threw a lot of suplexes and did a bit more grappling.

Lesnar definitely deserves to be on the list. Just because his current gimmick requires him to be more of a brawler, doesn't mean he can't wrestle.

    Pretty much this.

WWE.com really does put out some great articles nowadays.

    We did it.

Remember when the "smart fans" said to stop trying and that the WWE doesn't care about what we want? Well, they were wrong!

Just watch his 2002-2004 run with WWE. He was awesome. A mixture of power with awesome technical skill. He was really entertaining on those days.

Even they know he's an average wrestler at best.

I think Lesnar more than deserves to make this list.

They speak of bringing amateur wrestling and sports entertainment together. Lesnar def qualifies for both.

True. Right now they are focusing on his former MMA career. During his first run they were focused on his amateur wrestling background. Lesnar was the first guy to cross my mind when I saw this thread. He has a stellar amateur background. The one that surprised me was Natalya. I believe she deserves to be on the list. I'm just surprised that the E acknowledges that she is one of the most talented wrestlers in the women's division since they rarely let her actually do it.

Same thing as every other forum where this list has been posted. Why people on this list aren't being used, and why isn't there more wrestling.
Just wait and see how it plays out, guys.

While it is a good article, it still seems like this W, is the least important initial to them still.

"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breath their final breath. And if what that man did in his life, makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory, of those who honor him and make whatever the man did live forever."

This a pretty accurate list. I would have a different order, but other than that, I don't have much problem with it.

I'm very surprised that Cena isn't on there. He's been more consistent in having great matches, over the past 5 years, than everyone in the company except Punk and Bryan.

I know it's not just one man, but IMO, a lot of the credit goes to the great Joey Styles on many of these pieces on WWE.com. I've got assume an with article about "wresling" ability Styles must have had a part in this one.

They hardly showcase Tyson Kidd's talents so I'm curious to why he made the list. Also Cody Rhodes, No.

Cody Rhodes is a great wrestler. It too bad he hardly gets a chance anymore to showcase his talents.

Come on SM, great? Seriously think he is great?

    I'd say average at best.

To me he is, but I know not everyone agrees with me.

Still, he is easily better than average.

I don't see any part of his repertoire that stands out. What does he do that makes him exceptional?
