Default Saturday Morning Slam Possibly Ending Soon

    - WWE Saturday Morning Slam may air only for a few more weeks. Word was going around a few month ago that the CW Network only purchased a certain number of episodes of the show but this isn't confirmed. There have been no new matches taped for SMS in two weeks now.

That's a shame. I know most here don't watch it (me included) but I know a few of you love it and it is the highest rated show during that block. I'd be surprised if CW didn't try to renew it or something. I know it's G-rated and all, but I wish I had a wrestling show like that when I was a kid.

NOOOO SMS is a place where guys like perfect Jr. were able to show a little more personality and many times the wrestlers looked like they were having genuine fun out there, I'm sure going to miss it.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Shame. Those gifs people posted made it look pretty awesome. Not that I bothered to watch it despite that...

So no more Sheamus drinking water or Daniel Bryan ranting about bears?

Why? If you never watched the show anyway, how does this affect you in any way?

Why? What possible joy could you get out of a show that you probably didn't even watch ending?

Sucks to hear this , I recorded it for my 5 year old weekly and he enjoyed it and I got a few kicks out of watching it as well.

Seriously. It'd be like me saying i'm glad that cupcake wars got canceled, it doesn't affect me in any way.

It's terrible that this show got canceled, a show that didn't take itself too seriously and was always good for a bit of fun, what on earth is bad about that?

A ton and a half of credit to Rad for this superb artwork

Saturday Morning Slam is usually the highlight of my weekend!

Yes, I know, I lead a fairly sad life.

Seriously, though, I can't imagine CW not renewing the show. It definitely deserves it, and the show is finally starting to develop some storyline elements now that they've made Mick the GM. The show is so much fun to watch, and it'd be a shame to lose that. Besides, where else are heel jobbers going to get the chance to show off their personality and look good in matches? And it was always interesting to see who would be the guest commentator of the week.

I don't watch it regularly but on the Saturdays when I'm not sleeping off a Friday night drunk, don't have other plans and actually remember it's on, I watch it. Even though its geared towards kids, I like it. If it is actually the highest rated part of The Vortex than I'd be surprised if CW doesn't renew it. That is unless it's also a lot more expensive than the other shows they air. I like the fact that they have a kid based Saturday morning show. That's how I started watching wrestling.

they lost me once i noticed they edited out moves (by cutting to the audience) if the impact looked too stiff.

wtf, cant have the fake fighting look too real i guess..... no loss here.

Hopefully this gets renewed, I actually enjoy watching it along side Justice League Unlimited and Dragon Ball Z Kai.

Yes, god forbid we see every sick-looking move.

It's a good show for children to watch, and it's lighthearted entertainment for those of us who enjoy a more fun offering from WWE that doesn't screw with storylines on the main programs. But why should you care if the show exists or doesn't exist? You're a grown-ass man. You want to watch the stiff stuff, don't watch a Saturday morning kids' show.

"sick looking"? im talking clotheslines and some top rope moves edited. stuff i would see on sat and sunday mornings growing up HAS A KID.

seemed overly ridiculous and processed to me my fellow "grown ass man"

and by saying "no loss" pretty sure indicated i dont care. its been off my dvr list for months now. but since its a topic of current discussion i figured i would drop my two cents in. sorry if i pissed in your cereal dude i missed the part in the thread title were it said "only those who enjoyed the show post within".

Slam is good just for the classic video packages but it isn't the best show at all. It was nice to see a throw back to the old WWF Superstars (of Wrestling) and Wrestling Challenge though.

Except that it is a loss? It may not be a loss to you, because you don't care whether the show continues or not. But some of us actually enjoy it, do care, and would see it as a loss, especially as the show has gotten a lot better the last couple months.

Saturday Morning Slam is the best show WWE has at the moment, and the only one I watch these days, sucks to see it go.
    That's all, folks.

As noted earlier, Saturday Morning Slam will finish its current run of original episodes at the end of this month as the current TV season for Vortexx children’s television block on the CW Network ends.
WWE and the CW Network are scheduled to meeting up and discuss the possibilities of a second season. If a second series is picked up, new episodes would begin airing in the fall.
