I'm glad to see them hiring someone outside of the 'entertainment' world. Sports entertainment promotion requires a level of sports promotion.

    A very good coup.

If Vince was smart, he'd use his leverage to get into MMA

I wish this approach would be used in creative where it matters most as the marketing is world class as it is, but this should make it even better.
Who is the boss? Who made wrestling? Who is sports entertainment?

I would love to see a partnership between the two companies to be honest. For example, at WM 29 you had a Mexican WHC defending against a xenophobic challenger while there is a Mexican-American UFC Heavyweight champion in Cain Velasquez at the same time. Imagine Cain sitting at ringside for Mania with his title in hand. The camera and announcers can acknowledge him, maybe have Coulter talk some trash to him. During the match Coulter gets on the apron. Del Rio goes for an enziguri but hits the referee accidentally. Swagger grans a chair while ADR is checking on the ref and takes out his left leg with it and applies the ankle lock. ADR is tapping but the ref is out. Cain jumps the barricade and hits Swagger with his UFC title belt. Coulter yells at him and Cain takes him out with a single leg kick before getting back into his seat. ADR stumbles up, winks at Cain and climbs to the top rope. He points to the sky, does Eddie Guerrero's shoulder shimmy and hits a Frog Splash in tribute to Eddie. He retains and invites Cain into the ring where they raise each other's arms and their titles in the air. The announcers could plug Cain's title defense against Antonio Silva at UFC 160 on May 25th as well. Swagger could get a rematch on RAW after complaining Cain cost him the match, where essentially the same thing (without the stupid added handicap stipulation) happens with Ziggler cashing in on ADR after their match.

I've also thought that if Chael loses tomorrow's fight and does retire (not likely, but possible) that he could fit in as possibly The Shield's manager. He is a businessman with ties to WWE in his friend Punk (who will actually be in Sonnen's locker room at UFC 159) and decided to get his feet wet by hiring the three NXT stars as mercenaries. Punk/Heyman pay Sonnen who sends The Shield after whoever they want. He then realizes that The Shield are more than just mercenaries and can be legitimate stars, so he has them chase championships and attack anyone they can make a name off of. This explains why after Taker beat Punk why The Shield immediately targeted him, both to avenge Chael's friend and to continue to build their names.

Punk could also switch over to Chael's management and begin a feud with Lesnar/Heyman because of it. All just random ideas, but being a huge UFC fan I would love to see current fighters promote their fights with WWE appearances and former fighters perhaps try out pro wrestling if they have a knack for it like Chael, Rampage, etc.

It would be cool if WWE could work with UFC. I don't want to see MMA stars wrestling, but some cross promotion would be cool. I know they've seen themselves as competitors, but both companies fill 2 very different niches.
