That's not me being flippant, I genuinely have no idea who he is.
- CM Punk and Lita were in attendance for last night's UFC on FOX show from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The couple was seen sitting near the cage with other stars.
Punk attended last weekend's UFC event also and will be attending the April 27th UFC 159 pay-per-view from New Jersey where his friend Chael Sonnen will take on Jon Jones.
On a related note, MMA veteran Mark Coleman was upset with Punk at last weekend's UFC event. Because UFC producers decided to show Punk on TV instead of Coleman, Coleman became furious to the point he wanted to attack Punk and start a fight with him. Nothing came of it but the situation on Coleman's side was serious enough that several people at the event were talking about it.
He's a UFC Hall of Famer. I don't know why he's so upset though. UFC may be doing better PPV numbers than WWE, but the WWE susperstars are (at least as I'm aware) much more known around the world. So I'm not surprised the producer decided to show Punk and Lita instead of him, in the same way that WWE point out celebs that watch their shows.

Why would he wanna start a fight with Punk? Surely he would want to fight with the producers for making the decision? Or is this fella just a meathead with little between his ears?
"I've seen a million people die, it's up to us to stop the war."
Coleman was the Brock Lesnar of 1996, won the UFC X, and XI tournaments and started off undefeated. He was one of the first UFC Heavyweight Champs, and one of the all time greatest shoot wrestlers.
He made an improbable comeback in 2000 when everyone thought he was too old to do anything, and he shocked the world to win the Pride FC 2000 Grand Prix tourny(which was full of 16 of the greatest fighters in MMA history up to that point).
He was always a weird dude. This doesn't surprise me.
CM Punk has been training with the Gracie Ju Jitsu academy lately, so Coleman better watch his ass. He'd probably get legit tapped out by Punk.
When a pro wrestler has the credentials to tap out a former UFC Champion, I think Kazushi Sakuraba's classic quote has come to full fruition:
"In fact, professional wrestling is strong"
He said that line in a post fight press conference after he had just won the UFC Japan tourny.
Why is such a tough hard-man acting like a little bitch? Pathetic.
"You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure."
Sound like someone is a little jealous, to me.

More interesting Mark Coleman stuff:
I almost shit my pants when this happened. HUGE, HUGE upset back in the day. That other guy was a young debut fighter from Ken Shamrock's Lions Den team. He didn't stand a chance on paper. Coleman beat the dog shit out of him for about 15 mintues. They went to overtime and this happened:
Then there was this from Pride FC:
Coleman broke Shogun's arm, but like a fucking steroid freak with no respect, he kept trying to fight the guy even after the ref stopped it(with Shogun laying there with his arm broken). Shoguns' team stormed the ring and we had a pro wrestling style scuffle. Crazy shit.
Like I said, Coleman's not all there. Never was. Pretty good fighter in his prime though:

I guess UFC respects the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era and the man who claims to be the best wrestler in the world
Who is the boss? Who made wrestling? Who is sports entertainment?
WRESTLEMANIA 4 LIFE~~
Punk and Lita a couple? I think not.....
Coleman better protect his neck:
This will remain in my sig until The Rock gets his WWE World Heavyweight Championship rematch.
^Watch the whole video.
Somebody should book this in Fan Fic. Coleman '96 vs Punk. Take all of my money.

Coleman was good when it was still okay to good at one or two things in the octagon. Still love when Petey Williams kicked his head into the 4th row. The more dominate fighter in the same mold, in fact may have been unstoppable for a longer time, had drugs not taken over, was Mark "The Smashing Machine" Kerr. There's a great documentary about Kerr's life called, Smashing Machine...they both define the outdated, but incredibly effective, Ground and Pound style.

Oh and as for Coleman getting mad, it's most likely sour grapes that he's not really relevant anymore in the sport.
Why is this a big deal? Seriously..
Jay Pritchett would make Punk tap in SECONDS.

As far as this guy having a fit because Punk is shown on TV is dumb. What does he think that Punk tells them where to point the Camera.

I think in Coleman's eyes, Punk's done nothing to warrant the showcasing and I don't think Coleman respects stuff like the WWE as he seems to be a purist wrestling type.
I can't defend either guy here...its petty what Coleman's doing but honestly Punk would act the same way if put in the same spot. He was the one bitching that Miz was main eventing a WM while he wasn't(I'm just using this as an example btw).
