Spoiler warning just in case.
I'm setting the fine people of PW (and Falcone) a challenge.
I want to know how often the Post-Mania Raw is regarded as one of the best WWE tv shows of the year?
I didn't think the WWE could touch last year's amazing show when Brock Lesnar made his return after a 8 year hiatus.
I was wrong.
That acapella version of Fandango's theme was brilliant and honestly made me feel good to be apart of the WWE universe. Combined with Ziggler's cash-in, Taker/Shield's showdown and Ryback turning on Cena I feel like this is going to be a very difficult show to top.
And this isn't just a deal that's come about in the last few years. The Post-Wrestlemania XIV show for instance was one of the most memorable episodes of the Attitude Era with HHH forming a new version of D-X complete with the return of X-Pac.
I think what makes this show stand out is the fact that it was done without a surprise return, or even a part-time star (with the exception of Taker). This was the WWE regulars putting on quite a show, and the crowd rewarding them for it.
As I said in another thread, it's amazing how great this show was without some of the biggest stars that people paid to see, such as Rock, HHH, Lesnar, and Punk.
