- Tonight's old-school WWE RAW takes place from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. No matches have been announced for tonight but The Shield vs. John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback is advertised locally. We do know that WWE Champion The Rock will be appearing tonight as will Triple H. No appearances by Chris Jericho or Brock Lesnar this week.

I was talking to some friends and they brought up the possibility of an Old School Taker. While I'm sure he wouldn't, I sure as hell know I'd mark for a purple glove-wearing Taker. Does anyone know if he grew his hair out again?

Since Triple H and Rock are appearing I'm hoping they can have interaction with each other or at least with some of the younger guys on the roster like Sheamus, Ziggler, Miz, Sandow, etc. A backstage segment would be nice.

Cena and The Shield are advertised locally, probably meaning a dark match after the show ends.

I can see him and The Rock having a confrontation, possibly to insult each others past gimmicks or ring attire. Unless they go back to "you're not here" vs. "you're too PG".

I personally don't need to see those two guys do anything besides build their WrestleMania matches. Them being there isn't part of the old school theme, they're there because they're in the main events next month.

although the world would mark out, and it'd be just as perfect as their surprise for when The Rock came back in 2011 (the Rock: tease with a woman's legs before commercial break / for Austin it'd be: advertise Undertaker at a house show). The WWE wouldn't not milk the shit out of Austin's return match like they did for The Rock's return match. An Austin match would at least be advertised a few months before it happens.

Yes my only problem with it as they are saying it will be a throw away show, considering they have only 2 matches confirmed for mania they need to start building feuds.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about what they do regarding Mania. Entertain me tonight, the rest be damned. Not as though WWE only really caring about the top matches is a huge change of pace. As such, I refuse to let it bother me.

Everyone thinking it's stupid to have a themed show during 'Mania season... it's really not. It attracts eyes to the product and sells the run-in to WrestleMania. Shows with at least Rock vs. Cena and Lesnar vs. HHH as main events don't need to start building undercards any earlier than a few weeks out. It sucks for us wrestling perfectionists, but it's pretty clever.

Also, the Outlaws are wrestling. That's just pure awesome. Scholars will make them look like gold as well. Really looking forward to that.
