As I said in another thread a couple days ago, the biggest possible match for Mania XXX is Rock vs. Brock. That is an epic match and absolutely should not be wasted on Summer Slam.

I said this in a thread a few days ago, and sure it maybe a pie in the sky type dream, however I think WM 30 could have;

-Cena vs. Taker
-Austin vs. Punk
-Rock vs. Brock

Those 3 matches alone would be enough for me to order, I wouldn't even care what else is on the card.

Without Undertaker vs. Cena? It's hard for me to see why anyone wouldn't want to see this match, even if you do hate The Undertaker. I say that because there's a good chance it would be his last match.

Why? The guy works once a year for Christ sake. He's put on at the minimum 4 star matches in the last several Manias. Punk this year and Cena at WM 30. Then he can hang it up. Retire in Houston and go out in front of his hometown friends and family.

I said on this very forum around WM 25 that this may indeed become the problem holding off the match and I do remember some saying even back then the match would happen at WM XXX. I remember saying that Cena/Taker was this generation's Hogan/Andre, but I did not want the match happening similar in the vein that Taker is too banged up for a real match worthy of its stature. I was really believing the best time to do the match was at WM 25 or WM 26 since Taker's streak imo was at its peak performance wise at that time.

However, Taker vs. Cena win, lose, or draw can still be the biggest match in Cena's career. After beating Rock and then next going over UT would give him immortal status. The problem I always saw with Cena beating Taker years after his performance prime was that the match would not be as great as it obviously could have been at that time and that beating UT as a broken down man won't do anyone any good in terms of not being able to do it when he was THE UNDERTAKER.

Even if these matches are announced now I don't think it would hurt the product during the year with predictability due to the matches not even having to be title matches. A unification match can be done to put over a new talent I suppose for the future as the plans were for WM X with Bret Hart.

I wouldn't believe what the reports say, we have heard these reports since before WrestleMania 27 and he has put in a great performance both times.

These reports are based on assumption rather than actual knowledge about The Undertaker's health, they assume that because he's only wrestling once a year now that it's because his health has gotten to a point where he can't wrestle more than once a year anymore and most people will believe it because it makes sense. I wouldn't even be surprised if WWE leaked these reports themselves so it's even more epic when he returns and puts on a classic.

It maybe partly true and his health has deteriorated, but I think his health got to a point where he couldn't wrestle often anymore rather than just once a year. I think he is fine to do one match a year as we have seen.

He will do a match with Punk this year and then Cena next year then I think that will be it for him, and both will be the usual classics we are used to seeing from him at WrestleMania.

Kudos to you, I was thinking the same thing. I know they pretty much did the "announce a match a year away" thing with the Rock and Cena, however I would love it if WM 29 ended with a hint at Taker vs. Cena for WM 30.
