Default TNA replacing WWE in Germany

ImpactWrestling.com is featuring an official announcement for a new television deal for TNA iMPACT! Wrestling in Germany on Sport1. A weekly one-hour highlight show will air every Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. starting on 3/6. The show will be replacing WWE SmackDown and WWE Bottom Line.

The announcement added, “There will also be a comprehensive video-on-demand offering, featuring full episodes of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING and TNA PPV events on the SPORT1.de website. Fans can catch the unabridged two-hour edition of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING, as well as TNA’s monthly three-hour-long special wrestling events. In 2013, TNA Lockdown, TNA Slammiversary and TNA Bound for Glory will be offered live. All content will be available both individually and in subscription packages. Further details will be announced shortly.”
Some U.S. fans might not care but to me, the thought of TNA shows replacing those of WWE sounds huge.

I'm happy for Germany. Finally they get to see a quality wrestling broadcast.

Good deal for TNA. WWE fans and WWE itself probably dont care but i am proud of TNA. every little step counts.

Why would TNA give Germany an excuse to declare war on America again?

War is bad. But press is press.

This is misleading. SmackDown will still air in Germany, except it will only air on Sky, along with RAW, NXT, and a couple of other recap shows. Up until now SmackDown has aired on two channels in Germany. On Sky on Friday's and then again on Saturday's on Sport1.

So basically, no big deal on WWE's end. But good for TNA getting back in German TV.
