The Shield 6 man tag should take place in the chamber.

Maybe they will add the stip sometime between now and the PPV, but that seems unlikely to me. You'd think they'd announce this earlier. Anyway, they've never had a 6 man tag in the chamber, it's an option on the WWE 13 game and it would work great here and here's why:

Imagine it starts out Ryback vs Reigns. They battle back and forth evenly. Time for a random combatant to be released from a pod. Out comes Ambrose. Ambrose and Reigns double team Ryback. Time for another random combatant, it's Rollins. The Shield finishes off Ryback before any of his team members enter the match. Sheamus then Cena enter the match but can't overcome the 2 on 3, Shield wins. It let's The Shield win an important math without making the other guys look weak at all. I played this type of match with my buddy the other day on the game, and the same scenario happened to me.

That would be a good idea but I kind of like the idea that WWE has decided to only have one Cell and Chamber at their namesake events. It limits seeing the same eventual spots twice in a night.

Not necessarily. One or two of the members of The Shield could be eliminated and still win. Plus less pun falls doesn't necessarily mean less spots. And about the avoiding doing the same spots by only having one chamber match, they could do different spots in the matches. I'd save the plexiglass spots for the match with The Shield in particular.

Plus there's actually a feud here. The chamber adds to it, instead of being a gimmick for a random thrown together match for a number one contender spot.

They're not going to change it now with the go-home show over and done with, but yeah, I would have preferred it to be a Chamber. They've never actually done a Tornado Chamber and I would have loved to see it.

I support the decision to leave it alone. Rock/Punk is already selling the PPV and there's already a chamber, no need for two matches of the same gimmick type on the same PPV, never liked that. Not with Hell in a Cell, not with Money in the Bank, not with Elimination Chamber either.

Ryback can't get pinned again, it's bad. They won't book Cena to get pinned because they want him to look strong against The Rock (and possibly CM Punk), Sheamus can get pinned though, thanks to interference from his Wrestlemania opponent...Orton. The fact it isn't in the chamber is a good thing for The Shield.

PWInsider is reporting The Shield vs. John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will be inside the Chamber structure. This would be the first time a six-man tag match has taken place inside the Chamber.

Their report suggests that the match would be conducted under rules similar to the old War Games: The Match Beyond. The Chamber was actually created after Triple H pitched using the Wargames double ring cage structure, only to have the idea shot down and the Chamber created instead.

The match being in the Chamber would make it a much bigger deal and would be a lot more fun/exciting to watch.

I'm going to have to agree with LS on this one. This match is too important for it to be a generinc 6 man tag match. The Chamber stipulation would add a more epic feeling to it and it'll make it more memorable.

i'd love it in the chamber. i think people overestimate the effects of these guys taking pins. I don't think the pin damages Cena or Sheamus' credibility at all. Cena is still a superhero and Sheamus has roughly a million wins in the last year and a half so I think he can afford to be pinned. The only babyface who maybe can't afford it is Ryback. But I still think Ryback is coming out of wrestlemania with a huge win and moment no matter what so he'll be ok even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment. Cena is taking the title off the Rock at mania. The only one of them who might not come out of mania with a win is Sheamus. And after his year long tear I'm ok with that.
