    JEFF HARDY TNA CONTRACT UPDATE
By Mike Johnson on 2013-02-08 09:08:34
TNA champion Jeff Hardy's new deal with the company is two years, locking him in through February 2015. TNA President Dixie Carter announced yesterday during a Bellator MMA broadcast on Spike that she had signed Hardy to a new "long term contract".
Trust me, when I read this early today.....I know I probably groaned out loud and I think I may have died a bit inside.....

Nevermind the Jeff Hardy contract. Was Dixie actually live at the Bellator event? Making an announcement about pro wrestling??

Good deal for both sides. Jeff is good value for them especially now that they are taping Impact on the road. They need big names to draw fans and to keep ticket sales high enough to make this move work and Jeff will sell tickets for them. He has also been one of their highest merchandise sellers ever since he moved across so that makes him very valuable as well.

Good deal for Jeff since he can still work on his terrible music whilst in TNA and doesn't have to tour as much. TNA just need to ensure that he stays clean.

The only reason this is bad news is that I want him in the WWE. He just isn't interesting enough in TNA.

Ehh, this sounds pretty cool. It is only 2 years though. He may come back to WWE eventually. I would love to see him come back, but if he's happy in TNA, than I'm happy for him.

I would rather see him come back too wwe now while he's still in his prime.

Agreed, well I'm not the biggest Jeff Hardy fan these days... TNA keeping a big name like Hardy around when they're about to go on the road is definitely a good business decision.

Hardy is the hot ticket for merch sales and the best draw TNA has besides Angle and Sting. Doesn't change the fact that I don't want to see him as champion though.

Hardy couldn't hack the WWE schedule so TNA is the best place for him.

I know right now TNA's schedule seems like cake compared to WWE's and thats why allot of guys enjoy going there. However, with Impact going on the road and the poteintal of more house shows being added down the line it will only be a matter of time before TNA's schedule gets as bad as WWE's.

I understand this could be years down the line, but its steadily been increasing since TNA started doing house shows.
