Why have they kept the spinner belt?

This isn't a when are they gonna change the belt thread or anything like that, this is questioning WHY they haven't changed it? When Cena lost the US title they changed it back to the original design but with the WWE title when he lost it or loses it they always keep it as a spinner belt, is there any reason for this? Is it because eventually the belt is always gonna end up on Cena so they see no need to change it? Or do they think the design is that great that they have kept it for this long? To me the spinner belt always comes off as it being Cena's belt

As far as why they've kept the WWE title as is its a great looking belt. It speaks for our time our era.
They did stop it from spinning which is rather disappointing, but I'm glad the overall design hasn't changed.
I'm just glad they didn't keep that abomination which was the Rated R belt. Such a monstrosity has no place in the PG era.

If there is new belt (as rumoured around Raw 1000 last year) then I think they made the decision to wait for Rock to win it before introducing it.

A shame because it would have made sense for Punk to have replaced it.

I feel like Punk is carrying a newer version of the Spinner belt -- it looks bigger and thinner on the depth of the title. I like the way it looks on CM Punk. I saw the new design to be honest I'd rather them keep the current design instead.

I am dumbfounded by the fact that Punk didn't bring in a new belt. I really thought that it was coming during the "summer of Punk". I don't want the Rock to win the title Sunday, although I think he will and I really don't want him to be the one who introduces us to a new title belt. It's just too damn much attention being given to a part timer.

However, I wont be surprised if that's how it goes down.

It looks like a piece of sh!t that Little Wayne would wear to the source awards to match his pimp cup. It's tasteless bling. Get a real title already. The World title looks legit. I know its a prop but it should still look legit. You don't see the guys on NCIS carrying around plastic guns with orange tips cause they are fake. The guns are fake but they look legit. Same should go for the WWE title. At least make it look like a real title belt! It's pathetic that the TNA title, as ridiculously oversized as it is, looks more like a title belt than the WWE title!

If they put the word champion on the main plate, I would probably buy it. That's how much I like this belt. My favorite version ever is the Undisputed belt that Lesnar/Taker/Rock/Angle wore in 2002.

That was a damn good looking belt. I'd love for them to go back to that. I know the popular concensus seems to be for the "Winged Eagle" belt (by the way, what kind of fuct up eagle is not "winged"?) but I loved the Undisputed Championship belt.

Nobody's saying it has to be a CM Punk belt. It shouldn't be specific to the guy who carries it. That belt is Cena's version of the title. It kind of made sense when he debuted it. It hasn't since. They need a WWE title belt. Not a Cena belt. At this point, the Smoking Skull Belt would make about as much sense for Punk to be carrying around.
