Default John Cena Praises Dolph Ziggler Backstage

"WWE officials were very impressed with Dolph Ziggler’s performance in the match against John Cena on the January 7th RAW.

Not only did Ziggler receive high marks from officials, but John Cena was heard telling people about how smooth Ziggler worked the match and how he never has a bad match. There’s a feeling that 2013 will be a big year for Ziggler after all."

Glad to hear it. Good that he has support from high up.

He still needs that extra something. Maybe it'll come from good writing, or some creativity from Ziggler himself, but he needs something.

    Obviously he's very, very good.

I think that at some point the man needs to stand for himself. Also I realise we are all pretty much over it but his name is a bit of a sticking point. Dolph Ziggler. A casual audience could have issues with that... Maybe it would be good for him to rebrand at some point much like the Rock did waaay back in the day.

That said the man is one of my favourites and has produced watchable matches against the majority of his foes, I seem to remember liking his series with The Great Khali a year or so ago. Also he cuts a pretty fine promo.

Breaking News: Dolph Ziggler has good match.
"ROH matches are too spotty and their storylines are too simple" - some guy in 2006 who now watches NXT on the regular.

"ROH guys don't look like real wrestlers and have no talent" - some guy in 2007 whose favourite wrestlers are now Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.

"ROH production is terrible" - some guy in 2013 who enjoyed watching on the first two wrestlemanias and some old MSG shows once he got the network.

Same thing is true for many guys on RAW, there is just no room right now as Cena, the Rock, Punk, and Ryback or the ones likely to compete for the WWE title.

ADR vs. Ziggler at Mania? Maybe but for some reason I doubt it.

    Thanks JV for the artwork!!

Of course he doesn't have a bad match, it's Dolph "freaking" Ziggler.

Big props to John Cena for recognizing talent when he sees it.

Ziggler is a great talent and he could easily be one off the top guys. He cuts awesome promos every week and off coarse he has tremendous matches.
This is what I Want from him. I want him too cash in the briefcase and become WHC. He then has a fued with berty which dolph comes out victorious.
Then he goes on too have a match with Chris Jericho at wrestlemania. Maybe unlikely but it's a possibility that match could take place.

Hopefully a sign John Cena is moving into becoming an agent soon, leaving the real talent out there in the ring

John Cena's not that bad, he's put on some great matches with CM Punk, some good I Quit matches against JBL (Judgement Day 05) and Batista (Over the Limit 2010) plus he's had one of my favorite debut matches for a WWE superstar against Kurt Angle and quite frankly there's a lot more then just those matches where he's been great.

Cenas a great talent and he has improved his in ring ability a lot over the years. And I can understand why you dislike him. His character annoys me at times also.

Somehow this is going to end up not being about Ziggler.

Of course, John Cena's name is in the thread there's only one way for this to end... thankfully though I've decided to be a little more positive about John Cena in 2013.

After all? Were we supposed to assume that after this feud with Cena he was destined to job for the rest of the year?

Many expected it because nothing about WWE can ever....EVER....be positive.

Jesus, it's 2013 and people are still having to defend John Cena's wrestling ability? I could put together a list of at least 20 Cena matches off the top of my head that would blow anyone currently in the WWE not named Rock or Triple H out of the water wrestling quality-wise.

    This shit is so tired.

I don't know if that's totally true. Daniel Bryan is fucking awesome, especially in his indy days.

Does anyone actually believe this is a legitimate report? That site seriously just writes obvious shit or predicts stuff that might happen, and makes it into a report.

    Holy crap.

You KNOW the Cena hate is getting ridiculous when Lony, of all people, is the guy defending him.

Ziggler is a slow learner. Dude's been around forever and he's barely starting to receive any recognition?

This is hilarious for the simple reason the guy is a former world heavyweight champion and it's like he's a rookie or something. Plus, this report seems suspect.

People might not like to talk about it and might hate that it is Dolph's 1st World Title reign, but the fact still remains, Dolph is 1x WHC.

Del Rio had two actual WWE Title reigns and they're practically treating this third one like it's his first.

If they can do that, then they can pretend Ziggler has never held one.

His title reign was one step ahead of him holding onto the belt while Edge was in the bathroom. Let's not overstate things.
