Question past wrestlers coming back to wwe

    credit pwinsider

Some familiar faces could be returning to WWE in the coming months as there has been a push from several top talents for the organization to bring back some "solid hand" wrestlers that were previously released.
With the lack of depth on the main roster, PWInsider reports that WWE officials are giving serious consideration to the suggestion. Individuals they have in mind would be of the mid-card variety to assist younger talent, as well as provide solid performances for the company.

There is a short list of potential names WWE is interested in, but no one has been contacted yet.

Super Porky returns to finally win the big one.

This report would be a lot more valuable if they'd at least provided a few names. I mean, the WWE has quite a few former talents that could be great if brought back. John Morrison, MVP, even giving a real midcard run to Chris Masters. Shelton's still young and can go. Him and Charlie Haas could reform The World's Greatest Tag Team again and improve the tag division. Heck, is there any way to lure Elijah Burke away from TNA?

Of course, I have no clue which of the guys I've mentioned are actually free agents at present time, aside from JoMo. But the point stands, WWE has a lot of talent that they've let go in the last five or so years that could be really useful.

Oh, and bring back Kaval, dammit!

Fuck Low Ki for being so serious and bitter. Leave him far away from WWE.

Maybe we can see the return of Londrick..like that would ever happen.

I'm willing to welcome back anybody if it helps the tag division.

    Even Londrick.

Maybe they plan to bring back Jericho and stick him in the mid-card?

On a serious note, I'd love to see MVP back, he was always one of my favorites but was booked pretty poorly during his WWE run.

Bring back John Morrison, but don't call him John Morrison. Just make him an unnamed Fandango groupie.

They got Finlay as an agent. I don't know many guys who are free and clear and can fit this role. The World's Greatest Tag Team are perfectly fine in ROH and TNA guys are basically off-limits due to the lawsuit.

Why do they want to bring in more mid-card guys when they don't even use their own signed talent?

JTG, Trenty Lock, Hawkins, Riley, Camacho, Bateman, (until recently) Drew Mac, Swagger, Uso's, Percy Watson, Ted Dibiase, Yoshi Tatsu, Ryder... Is it so hard to give a few of them a little push up to the midcard? Linda lost, either fish or cut bait with these guys first. Then look to bring in outside talent.

I agree with Bender, and some of those guys were pretty over before they randomly decided not to use them anymore.

Well you can partner a few with an older talent. Take for instance Gangrel working with say Trent and Hawkins and making them a new Brood and they feud with say the Usos and this becomes a new Brood-Hardyz feud. Then you put Percy with Scotty 2 Hotty or something as a new Too Cool or something. I would say Ryder was in the best spot of any of them to be honest.

If I was a talented, charismatic guy like MVP, I wouldn't want to return just to put people over. MVP felt under-utilized in WWE, so I doubt he would come back just to be a stepping stone for younger guys, many of whom are likely far less capable than he.

The problem is the WWE no longer knows how to manager talent, sustain pushes, maintain a midcard, and bring up younger guys and keep them on an upward trajectory. The WWE is its own worst enemy.

wwe is fine on mid carders infact the mid card is probably the best it's been in years... the need more main eventers though, that is where they are severely lacking.

Thank Brock Lesnar for his 2004 departure when it was time for him to put guys over for that. WWE has not pushed anyone that strong since with only Orton being somewhat close to that but he only held the title for a month and had his balls chopped off all in one flew swoop. It wasn't until he became the Viper did he become a star again. Since then it took at least four years that stars were made and cemented think of Miz and Punk. The problem is they start a push and then stop it and no one is really give a chance to be anything more than that unless you consistently do it like Punk and Mix has done..
