Did Punk go too far in tearing down Miz's wrestling ability?

Look, I'm no fan of The Miz's in-ring work, but jeez freaking louise was Punk rather brutal to Miz during the lie detector segment on Raw last night. The guy legitimately came off like a bastard, and that's saying a lot considering what a condescending jerk Punk is known to be.

Also, why is Punk constantly allowed to get shooty with his material. It's a worked show, so attack Miz's character, personality, whatever, but don't go out of bounds with snarky, shooty remarks.

And wow, how is it that Punk has so much disdain for a guy who gave him so much praise on his DVD? Again, I'm not a fan of the Miz's in-ring work, but if Punk has a personal issue with Miz, he should keep it behind the scenes or express it during radio interviews, but don't let it seep into the worked product.

I know Punk was sour over Miz being the main event at maina 27. Punk said so in his dvd. I think Punk was the same as he was without crossing the line. It's not like Punk said "hey look it's A-Train: when wrestling Tensai or said "Yep yep yep, what it do" to Ryback.

The only reason why people care is because there is a prior history of him not liking Miz and thinking he's a shitty worker. That automatically turns into controversy when anything is said on tv about it. To me it's less what he said and more how he came off. Punk is already pretty shooty, and when you add something with legit history it can seem kind of shitty.

That's all good and well. But I think most people have an issue with it being a little unprofessional, and even as a Punk fan, I agree to an extent. He didn't go on a rant and cut a full on promo on him so I can look past it pretty easily. But at the same time, I can see how people would be peeved by it.

I actually liked the segment and I thought Punk was well enough in character. Yeah I know the whole main eventing WM issue but I thought it fit and I liked the raw intensity of the segment. Punk could have been scripted to bait Miz. You never know.
