    Default The Shield works for.....

Matt Striker...kane and striker had a small feud going not too long ago which resulted in striker being choke slammed and pinned in a squash match.
Could kane being attacked two weeks in a row by the shield be a result of matt striker being ''bullied'' by the big red machine?

I'd love it if true....Striker has the chance of being the perfect manager(Heel) and should be used more so in that role.

    Why?

Someone please give me a good reason, why do these guys need to have someone leading them? why are they not good enough to handle themselves? why is the internet so fixated on things they claim they hate like Higher Power-esque swerves?

    Why?
    That's all, folks.

No....no, you got it all wrong.

They work for Cody Rhodes. They took out Kane, because they felt it was an injustice that he injured Cody.

Why not have Striker be involved with something? He's a good personality who is good on the mic and knows his stuff on wrestling.

I have zero problem utilizing someone like Striker and giving him something to work with outside of being a very occasional backstage interviewer. He deserves better than that.

Does he deserve something of this level? Is he worth turning this kinda original group with a kinda original mission into lackeys?

And before you go any further, Im a big Matt Striker fan, he should be in the commentary table IMO.

The only correct answer is Vince McMahon and/or Triple H. Sent them to clean up the current roster's acts.

They work for actress Kirsten Storms who will debut as their manager. It's all leading to several special Wrestlemania guests.

That's my guess. Plus they can weave real life into it, H is in charge of developmental, so he made them do it.

Ryback's CPU, which was accidentally disconnected during the time jump has learned to control other machines and now uses the old Anonymous GM laptop to direct the Shield against it's body, which has been reduced to a mumbling eating machine without it's CPU.

At the end of the day, there'd be no reaction to Striker being revealed as leader. To many he's just the backstage guy that gets humiliated. It'd be hornswoggle as anon GM all over again.

What if they worked for AJ? I'm not sure how it makes sense at all, but someone can probably give me a plausible backstory. Ready go...

Not like it makes any less sense than the above scenarios anyway.

AJ still has the hots for Punk and hates Bryan so she hired The Shield to take out Bryan and protect Punk.

I must have overlooked this one, this does seem pretty legit.

    BUMP

Let's try and salvage this thread, who would should be revealed as the master-mind of the shield? Heck should there even be a mastermind?

I think so, if only to justify why they've seemingly been able to out-smart a roster of 50+ wrestlers on a weekly basis. The obvious answer seems to be Paul Heyman & Punk but they seem too obvious, like they're designed to be red herrings.

You know who I'd love to see revealed as the mastermind? None other than the Game himself, HHH.

Ok, cool it, I know he isn't the most popular guy on here but at least it's a genuine twist and has a degree of logic to it. After being manipulated out of position of power, HHH forms his own group of renegades out of the talent he discovered to protect his interests in Pro Wrestling.

I wouldn't mind a McMahon being behind it, if only so they can have some big campy reveal under a cloak and cut that infamous '99 reveal promo.

It should be Trips as it would make for a great story that can run the whole of 2013. But knowing WWE, they'll go the boring route and have them be led by Punk or Heyman.

    Colt Cabana.

If there's a greater injustice in the WWE over the duration of the 'PG Era', it's the way Colt Cabana was treated. It would serve as an explanation as to why the Shield only helped Punk and didn't hurt him for his injustices. Cabana while a fun loving guy, became bitter and eventually hated the WWE and everything it stood for. So he hatched a plan to get back at the WWE for it's treatment of him and took 3 talents who were being mistreated the same way by being held down in NXT.

Ahhh dream booking... it's probably Vince. He needed to 'shake things up again'.

Like the logic Bender but I'm not a fan of serious Cabana, at least as a platform for his WWE career.

It's a start. Could make him a tragic character who eventually get's to be what he wants to be in the WWE.
