I think that would be an interesting match. Does Mason Ryan still wrestle for NXT or is he in the indies? Either way I'll bet Mason Ryan puts up a better fight than most of Ryback's opponents.

Agreed. I felt they dropped the ball with Mason Ryan, sort of like with what they did with Zeke Jackson post ECW.



The problem with Mason Ryan unlike Ryback was much of Ryan's tenure in the WWE revolved around a shitty incarnation of Nexus that no one gave two shits about, which as a result led people to not give two shits about Mason Ryan possibly rising against CM Punk. Ryback/Skip Sheffield was able to hide as just "one of the guys" in Nexus and because of his long injury, he was able to be someone else in Ryback where some fans forgot all about his previous character. I truly hoped when Mason Ryan turned face on Ziggler/Swagger/Vickie that it was the beginning of something but it was yet another simple WWE tease.

I still feel Mason Ryan is WWE's best kept secret but I have little hopes that the WWE will make him matter in the company and that he may end up being released next year. Same with Jack Swagger. Seriously fuck this company.
