Why do people have such a hard time to accept the fact their favorite wrestlers are retiring? I didn't see stuff like that being talked about Shawn Michaels retiring. Or about Edge retiring, but suddenly when it comes to Triple H, everyone says: "Oh, no, that's just a storyline..." Really?

Because it is a storyline.

Michaels retired because he wants to be home with his family. Edge retired because he had no choice.

Triple H is not going to retire because he's going to be on the road with the company anyway, and he's a guy who can step in when they need a buyrate.

And if Triple H's retirement speech came off as genuine to you as Michaels' and Edge's did, then you need to rewatch them all, because there is a clear difference.

For the record, I would be fine with Triple H retiring as he owes us nothing.

He talked about it in a recent interview. It's something he's been thinking about for a long time (and he found it hilarious that there was such a big reaction to it because to him it really wasn't a big deal).
