What happens if Rock loses at Royal Rumble

What happens if the Rock doesn't win at the Royal Rumble. Maybe the WWE would want the Rock to appear every show and Rock doesn't do it. What happens with The Rock then

Rock goes on to face either Brock or Taker at Wrestlemania. They're the only other matches involving him that would be remotely interesting.

I doubt he will lose, but if he does, then he'd probably return to WM against Cena, which would be not so good IMO. After all that hype last year about "Never before, never again", I don't think the match would have the same drawing power it did last time. Maybe throw Punk in and have it a triple threat match for the championship with Punk retaining to skyrocket him and solidify him as a future HOFer or give Cena a run with the title.

He's going to face Cena even if he wins. Which he will.

If he were to lose, and they went with Punk as the champ going into Mania, I might be convinced that they got Austin to come back.

This is what I was thinking. My only concern with Rock winning the title is that we will not see the title between Rumble and Mania other than via satelite/pretaped segment from the set of The Fast and Furious 11: Malaysian Rickshaw Drift! That and I don't want to see Punk lose clean to the Rock, only for Rock to move on to a feud with Cena and leaving Punk with no return match. The only upside I see here is the posibility that Rock might, MIGHT recognize how damn ugly that belt is a finally debut a new WWE title belt. I know, I know, we've been speculating on someone giving us a new belt for years now.
