Undisputed Champion Question

This isn't a 'Unification' discussion of sorts. But was wondering if anyone has any ideas why they haven't went with another 'Undisputed World Champion' angle yet?

Not necassarily someone who holds a unified belt, but someone who holds both World Championships at the same time. Seems only natural that nobody can be 'the best in the world' (not a shot a Punk, just an overall statement), if someone else is carrying another World Title.

You could have them say defend the World Title on Smackdown, and the WWE Title on RAW. Let them reign over everyone else for awhile. To be honest, would be the ultra-heel move to carry both titles and then truly proclaim yourself as THE number 1 guy in the company....not tied for it.

Maybe it is a bad idea....I haven't taken my geritol yet today.

Would be a great idea for a heel, especially if they booked him losing both world titles the same way they booked Angle losing both the IC and European titles at WM 2000.

The wwe superstar that would be able to do that is a heel cena. Say he pins the rock 1,2,3 for the wwe title at Wrestlemania then have him be the mystery opponent for the undertaker & beat him for the world title & his streak.

Oh yeah at the rumble the rock wins the title of cm punk.
The undertaker wins the world title off the big show. Cena wins rumble & challenges the rock at mania.

As for undertaker's opponent it is a mystery lottery spin on who faces him, so on the screen you see all the faces at random of the wwe superstars then bang it lands on cena.

Yeah but that isn't what he's talking about. He's wondering why they haven't tackled an angle where one person holds both belts, defending them both separately against different people.

And it's a really cool idea. It would be a really cool angle to do in the future with somebody, and it's a shame they didn't pull something like that with CM Punk claiming to be the best in the world. The WHC steps up and says "you're just tied for best in the world," and things build from there. Heel gets a run as both champs for a little bit, then eventually drops one belt when he's screwed over and has to defend them back to back or something.

That would be fun, especially if they ever did one last Punk/Jericho feud (don't see it happening after the last one). Combined champ vs. first ever undisputed champ.

Shoulda gave Ryback an even greater push! Have him win both titles around this time now. Have one EC match in feburary. Have Ryback be tha last entrant and clean house! Shoulda left Cena with the MITB. Then have him cash it in and win both titles and turn heel and go over Rock at Mania! Just a thought! Or have Orton win both to start his next heel run!

I am thinking with two crews touring it would be too much of a stretch to either have one champion show up for both or to sell shows without the champion being on the bill...

Their should be only one world title,and that's it.Their should just be the WWE Championship and the World Title needs to go bye bye.Having a second world title to me means jack shit.All it does is give more guys the chance to be called world champion,whom really should be and credible guys like Cena,Edge,Triple H...ect more world title runs to increase their totals to a ungodly amount.

Plus now the brand split is pretty much dead and their still running two sets of house shows.Theirs no need for the World Title.The WWE Champion could headline one show while one of the bigger stars like Cena,Sheamus or Orton could head line the other,or god forbid maybe make the Tag Team Titles,IC Title and US Title mean more and have one of them head line a show.

That was the original concept of the Undisputed World title. The champion held both titles and had to defend on both brands. And in fact that is what also lead to the titles being separated again. Brock became exclusive to Smackdown and was unable to defend on Raw. As a result he was stripped of the WCW/WHC title.

1. That's when there was a cemented brand slpit that was enforced. Thats no longer the case.

2. This is not about winning both titles and being the undisputed champ and defending it as such. Its about holding both and defending them that way.
